Dude is building gold mines and upgrading them when his gold storage is at max, doesn't click the purple shit to collect it, rushes 5 builders, boosts them for an hour, then doesn't even use them, and builds a wall far away from his defenses. It's astounding that this guy can just get through his day to day.
this game was the best thing back when i was in class 7 all the boys in my class would show off our bases, townhalls, and stratergies, this game is quite nostalgic, i would even research base layouts on youtube 🤣🤣 i still remeber the clan i was part of, it was some foreign clan i dont know from which country, but they were the freindliest of players, never pressured or insulted if a player lost in the clan wars
my opinion at higher town halls the base takes up all the tiles and less strategy in both base building and attack strats. and the grind gets too much to be worth playing. so eventually felt like a chore and i quit a year or two ago.
i forgot what town hall i was but i had just unlocked the pets upgrade for 8 pets instead of 4.

@@henlohenlo689 the attack strategy is insane, and the base building is also insane at higher levels. I stopped playing like 2 years ago but tourneis and pro scene were insane back then and it was pretty hard to 3 star bases.

Not gonna lie I’ve played many mobile games through my days, but this is the one I have stuck with because it feels like the perfect blend of skill time effort, but also casual in that you can stop playing her any length of time and come back and still enjoy it and not feel too behind.

Clash of Clans is so good. Top level attacks on tournaments are literally almost perfect and require a lot of strategy and knowledge of the game and how the troops move and interact. I'd say is one of the best esports for mobile and doesnt involve clunky on-screen joystics.
If anyone wants to see cool attacks, watch some Queen Walk attacks at tournaments. Its actually really hard to do.
With limited time I prefer to spend it on other games, but CoC is actually a really good game.

Its good until th10 where spam attack dont just net you a 3 star, and build time starting to go extreme. Had friends who quit around th10 and 11 cuz they only can spam e drag, even though the fun part of the game is doing queen charge while analyzing the weak point of the base.

@@dum0 I dont play anymore, but its a journey, not a destination, you keep learning new attacks depending on what troops you have avaliable and what levels youre facing. You don't need to be maxed out to have fun. That's a self made problem/obsesion with the destination you have.
I remember Supercell organized multiple tourneys from different TH from 6 to max that was 13 with big prize pools (more than 25k each tournament). There were literally pro scene for every townhall level and the attacks were insanely good.
Someone's gotta tell Asmon about the official Clash shop. It hurts to watch him spending hundreds and not collecting the 10% plus.

i think clash of clans isn't p2w because even if you whale your way to th15 within a day, it wont matter as you will always meet th14-15 in clanwars and climbing leadersboards is also skill based. for me the purpose of the game is not to be max, but the journey, if you skip that part then it deletes the fun. you can farm like 20min a day and you will progress over time. been playing this game for a while, max th12 right now.
Finally Supercell is doing content creator marketing (outside of existing clash creators). There are full generations of Fortnite kids out there that have probably never heard of the game. As a 11 year coc veteran, that makes me happy!

I started playing clash the month it came out after the Canadian beta finished. Think that was July 2011 or 2012. I only played on and off since i mostly quit in 2013 but at this point the game has been in my life for so long it’s like a twilight zone moment to see asmon playing it. This’ll be a wild ride for me

@@Kipplz idk i guess i stopped thinking about that a long time ago. I bought all the builders and i used to buy gems occasionally. Just $5 or so would let me boost my builders regularly during events for a couple months so wasn’t a huge deal. Now it’s so easy to level stuff, they added the 6th builder and with the league point system getting hammers is easy and everything is a lot cheaper than it used to be. You don’t pay for troops or spells anymore and shit cooks way faster. They also don’t try to sell stuff as aggressively as most gatchas and i have 0 issue waiting. Not like i enjoy cup pushing anyways so no need to be max the second a new th comes out

Plenty of other live service games prioritize their free-to-play game-play, (that is not limited to reach for a payment) so you yourself are more willingly inclined to purchase cosmetic and game-play enhancing gear & such.

Clash of Clans is a bit of a sore spot for me.
I was once a big player in the game, I was Major Johnson, part of Water Buffalo, and founder of Michelin Streak, with 330 and 200+ win streaks each.
A win streak is defined by when your clan searches for another clan to battle against, find a match, then have 23 hours to prep and fill defensive castles, then have another 24 hours to make 2 attacks against the opposing team.
We were what were called "engineers" in the game. Engineering was where you have a weighting system when matching other clans for war where every defensive tower unlocked and leveled has a 'weight', and every offensive unit unlocked and leveled have a 'weight'
I had myself multiple accounts I built up over a long period of time which would have 'efficient weight' and so that when we would match other clans for a war, we have a distinct advantage.
At one point, we were running the two win streak clans, Water Buffalo and Michelin Streak concurrently, but at Water Buffalo we faced the #1 win streak clan Gaymartians and lost. Some players quit and others moved over to Michelin Streak where we were undefeated, and even defeated other large win streak clans.
It came to an end, and end to me playing clash after we had defeated a win streak clan with Michelin Streak, and salty players used an exploit in Supercell's recovery system in order to log into multiple accounts of a trusted clan member, in order to know when we were searching for war and to put together a team to match us. We matched, and just before the war day was to start, they hacked the same clan members accounts again, and emptied all of the defensive castles just before war day, all to destroy our win streak.
It was then when I had my quitting moment, and have not logged into the game since.
Holy shit, this Clash of Clans shit gets serious huh? Lmao that's an insane story but it's a shame you quit, if your opponent had to cheat that hard to win you know their victory is not earned, and it's probably a lot harder to hack into Supercell now.
@@DamesTC When it comes to Win Streak Clans, it's kind of all or nothing. We were the kind of people who are playing a whole different type of game.
The same group of people who hacked our clan members in order to find when we were searching, put a team together to match us, and then empty castles and possibly use mods, were the same ones who took Gaymartians streak (600+) a couple weeks before
We new they were gunning for us as screenshots were leaked to us that we were next.
There was actually a discord server called "Engineers Lair" for years where there was a subset of different clans that would mutually not search wars at the same size and time so they wouldn't match.
I was just soured over the fact that SuperCell would let a security vulnerability run so rampant so long.
I actually wouldn't be able to use my "engineered" accounts anymore because I've been away about a year and a half now and after 3 months of inactivity, your account will automatically level up troops and buildings which is not what you want for a specialized account.

Unlike todays 10 years olds with 3 second attention span. In 2014, 10 year old me had to wait weeks and months for some of the things is this game to upgrade and hours for troops to be ready. Literally took years to grow your base. You needed to be patient. And this trained my adhd ass patience lol.
"can you spend money to win in multiplayer games?" the true answer is no, you're gonna have more development so better stuff as long as you spend, so that technically makes you better, but if you fight people with the same town hall you're gonna have virtually the same odds. in high level play money doesn't matter in the absolute least

They still serve as misdirection tools even if not things which have to be broken, but I was pissed off for a few years after siege machines. But after a while I grew to like the new types of bases to make. I wish the queen and witches had 1 less tile of range though, with everything being 3x3 they can peak over to the building behind it over a wall which is dumb, and wish electro dragons can only arc a one gap space not 2, or something like not can only bounch to one other building if a wall is in the way since they act as a lightningrod
