43:10 - If you plug your monitors with HDMI, turning them off does NOT send a signal to your GPU saying the monitor is off, unless unpluged from HDMI or unpluged from the power. However, DisplayPort does send the "turn off" signal.
Which means that if she uses HDMI and set all her 3 ;) monitors, she can turn them off and play the game without even putting a blind fold on her head. And she would still be able to record and stream with OBS. Her PC would never know a monitor is turned off.
The problem? No actual customer GPU has 3 HDMI ports. But she might find one with 2.

No a few monitors when you turn them off and u have other monitors it reacts as you remove the hdmi/dispaly cable from your computer and it moves all ur stuff on that monitor to ur other monitors. When that is said i got no idea if thats how her monitors work as i dont have those but i know benq zowie 25 inch monitor does this because i have one
@@Yugelol All monitors behave like this if you use Displayport. It's part of the spec. Displayport doesn't tell the OS that it's still connected while the monitor is off. It wouldn't interfere with her capture as she is doing game capture and not monitor capture. It would move windows to a different monitor, but that doesn't really matter when you are covering the monitors anyway.

I question why wouldn't she simply turn off her monitor for the atempt (since she does not need it on for the stream to work) and use a second camera to record her from another angle in fronto of the black monitor.

The one running with Displayport doesn't get recognized while off, so my HDMI monitor is suddenly the main monitor and my whole layout changes. I think it's got something to do with AMD drivers.

Dude literally admitted to there being a 3rd monitor. He did it indirectly by stating the need to cover it up to be proof she is valid, but it’s still a slip of the tongue. She never did anything to cover up the 3rd monitor in her stream, therefore she already has a confounding variable in her argument that was never accounted for, and if she were responsible with covering up all of her screens, then her argument would be valid. However she left a monitor exposed, therefore pointing towards her run being fake.

I remember a few years back a guy was accused of cheating and people were demanding to see all his private files on his computer to verify there were no hacks

Also he was clearly cheating and now has admitted he 'accidentally' had mods on that helped him cheat. As for QP, she definitely cheated, and yeah, she's held to the same standard as the guy who did SM64 and also didn't submit it.😅

It's possible that Windows or the graphics driver detects it when you switch off the monitor and disables rendering on that monitor for power saving. So OBS isn't able to record anything that's on that monitor. It's the same with apps that are minimized - they are not rendering as well while minimized.

Display input can be sent remotely to any location in the house , you could literally put a phone on your lap and just see the display sent from the pc to your phone, Tablet or any other display divice you want.
You could turn away from the monotors and have a TV offscreen on the opposite wall displaying your desktop/game.

However, what he said was kinda true. You don’t necessarily protect your torso with your head-neck and extremities during stress, the stress response pretty much only dictates that the muscle tension generally increases. That’s the only thing he said I kinda agree with, but nothing else for example his excuses to why she sat so unnaturally the second time relative to the prior attempt.
I also want to point out that even if he’s truly a physician, it’s (I hope) probably not his intent to make us believe that he is a “body language expert” just because of that. You can however through a good understanding of physiology/neuroscience (which med school includes) state that what Asmongold said is not necessarily true. I think his tone was a bit degrading perhaps??

As a former mod to two female streamers I can say that guy is in too deep and possibly in a relationship with her. The first girl I stopped modding after she started misleading her audience that she was single and getting donations from lonely guys. When she refused to be honest I left and reported her. The second one I just got too busy to mod but will drop by an occasional stream. I feel bad for this guy trying way too hard to defend what is very much a hoax at minimum.
turning off a monitor that communicates with the pc instead of just accepting a signal actually fucks up everything. If you turn off your monitor and you get the windows disconnect sound, you know it fucked things up. but you can disable that, but its very involved

But its true that when i shut off one monitor it moves my game and all my icons to monitor 1. Anyone can test that. So on that aspect i believe her. Although i believe its used as a excuse

@@ShiftyRightNow Exactly it even did that for Asmon on the video, go at 1:15:28 you'll see his taskbar "zooming in and out", that's when it recognizes the monitor and puts everything into place regarding windows. Asmon didn't even notice that, let alone the entire world because they don't have enough knowledge in IT. I still believe she faked her run 100%, but Asmon made some bad points by times.

That's what I didn't get as soon as I got to the part where the mods start coming on. He admits straight away that there was a third monitor; I don't know if that was an accident they had to keep rolling with, or if they decided beforehand to admit it and lay it off like it was nothing.

If turning the monitors off does move stuff around to different monitors, what impact does that have if you're not looking at the monitors?

Just got to the mod talking about what it would take. I’ve never watched any blind folded speed runs but wouldn’t facing away towards a wall the stream could see be one of the better solutions? Same set up same camera but they’re facing directly at a wall. Like if you’re blindfolded and not using vision at all you don’t need to be facing the monitors.
