GiantSlayer honestly it would. Plus seeing how Rex was confirmed to be that old soldier with the white beard in Return of the Jedi it would be nice to get some clarification on how he hadn't died of advanced old age.
Yeah a Mandalorian training sergeant called Kal Skirara managed to gather enough resources to create a cure using Kaminoan technology including Ko Sai’s own research. Boba Fett later received the cure as well.
If I were the emperor I would have made the new army be a mix of clones and droids. If the problem with droids was there inflexibility on the battlefield, make them more flexible by making them tools used by clones. Units of disposable weapons lead by disposable people. Focus clone training even more heavily on tactics, even lengthen the process of making them to increase their effectiveness. Then the droids would be able to act like clones because a clone is telling them exactly what to do. This also works with ships, if the cheap tie fighters were droid ships they could be used as swarm fighters that could protect your high skilled pilots in their better ships.
Unfortunately Palpy wanted to exert his influence in the force over a human army, if clones were kept to small numbers to minimize their expenses then I could definitely see it being an effective plan-- But not for palpy.
@@GenerationTech well to be honest I think all of the best star Wars characters are in the republic Commando books and there are a few other amazing characters in other Star Wars books and media

I don't know. Clones were cool but I'm an order "Base Delta Zero" kind of guy ;) Radiating a planet from orbit worked for Ripley as well :) The order stated that when commenced, a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers would bombard a planet until it’s surface was reduced to nothing but radioactive waste.
That would be effective against big armies, but the rebels they were fighting often didn't have huge forces on their controlled plantes - or worse, hiding in Imperial planets. Bombarding their own planets wouldn't have been a smart idea I assume. Then again they did destroy Aalderan so maybe you have a point.

One thing that had always bothered me, if we assume the cloners were continually creating new batches to replace combat losses, and even to build the republic a larger force, once order 66 was carried out, and the empire was born wouldn't they still be recieving some quantity of clones for the next 9 years or so? Or did they simply eliminate all clones which hadn't completed their training? who knows how many there were, I mean you can't exactly figure out what sort of troops you will need in 9 years, especially when you are in the middle of a war.

Would they have actually supported earning their freedom, and then having the chancellor of the Republic creating an empire out of them anyway? If they won, there'd be the remainder of the Republic, now weakened and lacking many of their industrial powerhouses in the Senate, and the CIS, which would be largely self governing systems underneath a potentially corrupt but overall low powered, small central government. What is Palpatine going to do with that?
