I think some of the folks who have commented here take their game shows too seriously. I'm just enjoying seeing these, and I'm so glad someone took the time to post these all in order on RUclips. This is like going back in a time machine for a "live" history lesson. Thanks for posting these shows.
I think this show featured closing shot of panel and contestants gathered as if it were a cocktail setting.. everyone enjoying and conversing.. an opportunity also to see the fashions especially Kitty Carlisle.
Sir Robert Watson-Watt, inventor of radar, is one of the people who saved the world in WWII. Also noticed that the real rifle champion was wearing a shooting jacket.
I really do love Polly, but sometimes she is a little annoying. I didn't like Don at first, but he's grown on me. No one has ever been or ever will be as classy as Kitty. And good ol' Tom is good ol' Tom.
When ISN'T she acting like a Goof? (I used to like her, but no anymore. I am REALLY surprised Bud or the producers have never talked to her about the way she acts. She also liked to do those drawn out explanations)!
I thought that Polly Bergen was supposed to have been a very bright woman, excepting her choice of using 'turtle oil' in her cosmetic product [shame]. However, whatever her reason, she comes across on these game shows as not intelligent at all. It was no crime for women to actually reveal their intelligence even in the 1950s, for example: Dorothy Kilgallen, Kitty Carlisle, Betsy Palmer, Jayne Meadows, Betty White, Luciloe Ball...

Don Ameche and his rapid-fire style of questioning.
Thank you for saving Snowman years ago 🥰

That was the color syndicated version.
@@ChrisHansonCanada Okay! Interesting..as there was no color tv in my home until the mid 1970’s! 🙃

The thing to know about boars, large or small is that the Tusk ah loosa in Alabama.
Don Ameche always interviewed the contestants like a prosecuting attorney - as if the contestants were on the witness stand. 😖
Even the cameramen were skilled on this program. They always captured the expressions of the panelists.
Polly is the best !!!!
At first I thought # 1 in Game 3 was Mort Sahl.
Who is ringing that Bell !!!!?????
Bud.
A years supply !!!!
It's "Watson-Watt."

Polly and Don are rude and insufferable! UGH! Also glad they eventually flipped the set
The American inventor of radar is Robert Morris Page, He gets no public credit.
In the 1st round, again, Bergen acts as a GOOF, or someone off her MEDS!!!
It is her intentional sense of hour!
stan ochocki Nonsense, she’s always charming and adorable.

She was definitely an eccentric.
I found her very entertaining though.

Snowman, the horse, cost $80.00, not $70.00.

Acting the ‘fool’ is a classic comedy method, intelligence isn’t funny.
Polly was not at all annoying as compared to Tom Poston. He came acrossas a smug moronic know it all......
@@brucemarsico6 Glad YOU think so
(and yes, Polly is VERY annoying)!!
Polly and Tom were more or less the village idiots of the show. Milking the old laugh cow till it pissed urine.
Polly-just quit acting like you know all the info! It makes you look goofy!
She can’t take your expert, all knowing advice, she’s dead.
I used to like Polly. Not anymore
Polly Bergen irritates me every show. She's so full of herself and not funny.
Our opinions reflect ourselves.
Funny, I feel the same way about Orson Bean.
