I was interested in the ham radio/life saver game. As a radio operator myself, I was thinking of questions. Radio contact mid-US to Ghana is really something. Requires right radio, a good antrenna, good timing and serious commitment to ham radio. Glad 50+ years later that things went well.
The panel knew nothing about HAM radio, if they had it would have been easy, just ask each one to send (tell them their name) using morse code. They didn't know much about baking either!
I've never seen young Tom Landry. I don't care anything about football and I know who he is only because he's that famous. First game I've watched where a contestant shrugs after giving an answer. She's pretty funny. And the audience thought so.
Bud and the panel got signals near the end of the show letting them know if they need to speed things up (short on time) or stretch them out (they have time to fill).
@@loissimmons6558 Of course, but that is not a legitimate reason to let Polly ramble on and on just for camera time. He should well have sensed that she was becoming obnoxious and stepped in to "save" her. Common courtesy would have been the professional route to take.
I wonder if Kitty apologized to the engineer from game 1. She looked offended after Kitty made the comment about her when she was voting. The New York Giants had two legends on the same coaching staff in the mid to late 1950s. Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi. Not bad.
one of these liars tonight is none other than Mr. Tom Landry , if you don't know who he is you should look him up ,,what an amazing America, I had no idea who he even was but I like to look up the liars occasionally and usually find out interesting things about them!
Tom so often isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. 2 and 3 gave a perfect definition of an FM tuner. I speak as a HAM with a General class license. And as usual Polly knows nothing.
In Game #2 how the heck could the real woman have been so *dumb* ??? Or I guess playing dumb worked out well? Ridiculous not knowing the largest bridge, etc. etc.
I think that having to tell the truth definitely includes answering the question if you know it. She evaded a couple, but specifically when asked about stabiliaztion or wind (or something like that), she just said there wasn't that much wind in New Orleans to worry about. I think that was WRONG of her to do!
Tom was sooo spot on with the 1 bridge lady. I was embarrassed for her until he suggested she was cheating. I rewatched the game and oooooo was she fudging her answers and playing the dumb blonde. No no no!!!!

Maybe the greatest guess Tom Poston has made
Recognized Landry right away.
dannydoc1969 same 👍
First time I ever saw Tom Landry without a hat.
Tom Landry!
Polly Bergen is so beautiful. I'm gaga.
I'm a little surprised Bud didn't cut Polly off during her long, drawn out "reason" for voting in Game 3. She just loves to have the camera on her.
i get tired of her eye-rolling, dumb / coy act, neediness, and attention-seeking behavior.
