I am giving a thumbs up and 5 stars. Other videos I saw did not have the perspective of actually showing the what wires to what wire until I saw this video. Bravo!!! Smart Fella and I am sure he should prosper with his RUclips endeavors. Thank you. I’m so glad I got to see this. Please continue to share your Arts.

That's ingenious! Those blowers tend to be quite strong. Knowing how to wire it as you demonstrated, it could have many uses. I'm thinking immediately of a fan to move heat from one room to another when using a wood stove, for instance. Another great scavenge and adaptation from DuctTape. Thank you!

Thanks for the vid :) Those blower fans are pretty expensive to buy! Instant subscribe when I saw the channel name, btw.

I'm doing something similar but I'm hoping to use variable speed. As a test I grabbed an old 600W light dimmer and it works great but I assume using a triac for this isn't the best idea. There is a slight hum but it's really not that noticeable.
Any thoughts on the best way to go about this? I assume a ceiling fan speed controller should work but I'm not sure if I should combine the speed taps together. The old microwave had 5 speed options from the two taps but it's not clear how they were used on the control board.

I like it, I was doing the same but I don't have the capacitor and was wondering if I am not using it if I should put the red and yellow together or not.

Thank you. If jt js an induction motor like this one, it will require a capacitor.

@@DuctTapeMechanicmine also does not have a capacitor either but South Africa is 220, iv used mine for ages and it’s held up just fine. Not sure if the 220v has anything to do with no capacitor haha

@@DuctTapeMechanic did you use the ground? My plug only has a white and blue wire coming out of the same position and a brown singularly, not counting the two reds.

A coaxial wall plate would have cost the same and saved you from having to drill a hole.
