I’ve just bought this .its a fantastic watch that really comes to life when you see it in the metal . It’s quite a simple but interesting too and this is quite difficult to achieve . Nailed it , it’s beautiful..
The rubber strap is a must, the polished center links on the bracelet smudge so easily.
I really like the design and matching strap. A really well thought out combination
If I ever get a wild hair for a higher end watch, Omega is where I’ll look. This one is a looker too!
Do it! Sell some cast iron, you can probably get an Omega once you get rid of all those pans!
Well Guy after 5 years of collecting Hamilton and Steinhart, today my wife surprised me with my grail for our 21st anniversary. A Seamaster Aqua-terra chronometer with all the bells & whistles, the caliber 9605, in blue no less. Just yesterday I was completely content and satisfied with my modest collection of ETA tool watches, THEN THIS. It feels great but overwhelming, I mean where do I go from here? Cheers from Miami
That's beautiful. Love it. Just bought a quartz Aqua Terra for my Dad for Xmas ( felt so wrong spending that much on a quartz, but that's his preference)
Good review as always, thank you Guy 👍👍
Feels so right to get people what they want, not what we want. Great gift, I'm sure your dad is still loving it.
I almost bought the Aqua Terra but went with the Explorer instead-both great watches!
Congrats! Just curious tho, what made you choose the explorer over the AT?
@@tariqabdullah7044 the 39mm Explorer was the perfect size for my wrist. And I prefer bracelets but not butterfly clasps.
@@underachievingwatchcollect1878 ok I see. That's good that you know what you want and like. I personally love both and I hope to have an AT and a 36mm explorer in the future. Enjoy your watch brother!
What do you think of the Railmaster in an Aqua Terra case? Aqua Terra movement and case shape but all brushed, art deco style, unique herringbone strap. Ultimate understatement. Just wish it had the sapphire caseback like standard Aqua Terra.
Absolutely beautiful Omega! The Silver dial is my favorite and hopefully will add to the collection soon.
Love what Omega is doing. I much prefer the center seconds. Only problem w Omega is unless your a movement spec hound, the value isn't always apparent. Worse is for many of their watches the thickness of the cases and sheer size is a deal breaker for many. A Seamaster professional 42 is downright massive and in no way compares to say a sub for wearability. They describe the new Globe Annuals as everyday wearers. 14.5mm think? 41mm diameter...I don't think so...and the price...
I have the SMP and although the case looks massive, on the wrist it looks just fine (I have a 7.25” wrist). The few people who I’ve shown it to feel like it’s “sleek and sporty,” but no one’s thought it too big. Also, because it’s weighted well, it feels very nicely balanced on my wrist - not the least bit too heavy. If you can, try one on at an Omega boutique and you might be surprised. Or not!
@@martinkaplan1805 oh its awesome. Love the PO with orange bez. To be fair, you have a larger wrist. The modern SM 300 pro is a beautiful tank of a tool watch
Omega is hard to beat ! Just as good as a VC in my opinion 👍
I’d probably take an Omega over a VC. Haven’t really seen one I love. Great watches but not sure I like the designs as much as Omega.
Great review, I prefer the original. I feel Omega has really missed a ton of sales because of their bracelet. The butterfly clasp bracelet offers no on the fly adjustments or even micro adjustments. They seem to be out of touch with the demands of the current consumer market. Take the Aqua Terra and put the Sea Master 300 bracelet, not 300m, and watch their sales explode.
Agreed. No clue why they utilize the butterfly clasp outside of perhaps it's a method of cost-cutting.
Is it worth to buy Timex Falcon eye....it's available for 77 dollars ....
Great review.❤
A great review Guy, I do like the AT range from Omega and I think the small seconds 41mm version (I have a 7" wrist) would be my choice and like you I prefer the dial layout compared to the 38mm. For an extra $500 I think it's worth it as to me anyway I just find it that little more elegant and refined, a little less tool watch if you like. If I was in the market for a do everything watch or a one watch collection this would certainly be on my list of watches to try. A great balanced review! Great work!
Thanks!
I already have the AT Worldtimer, but this small seconds version is a beauty.... thinking of adding it to my collection. Should I go for the blue dial, or the white with blue?
I liked the blue one ☝️
I tried on Both Today, I went to my AD with intention on buying the White ( really it’s lite silver ) with blue Hands and Polished Bracelet, then I tried on the blue with the blue Rubber Strap and I was Hooked! Felt and looked better on my 7.25 in Wrist. I also tried on the new 38mm AT in Tercotta dial as well as the Sandstone color dial. left the AD With a lot to think about but I am definitely leaning toward the Blue Dial Small second With Blue strap. Can’t stop thinking about it! This hobby, it’s like a sickness! LOL.
I say that you have reviewed this watch and also the seamster heritage with the blue sandwich dial. Which would you choose between the two?
Hey mate! Great video!
Will you choose this watch over Seamaster 300M in white dial? I am debating between the 300M and the steak version of the Aqua Terra small seconds in bracelet
Beautiful watch. Great vid....
Thanks Derek!
Another home run from Omega. My only gripe is the limited color options.
Love the AT.
very nice.... really like it.... cheers
It's so fancy
Un Casio G-Schok GW5600, en una reseña de un omega, hermoso
Takes a proprietary strap?
Hi, do you sale any of the watches ?
I don’t I just make the videos.
Oh I see
Well it's not the type of "update" that it needs at all, in fact it's another step in the wrong direction for the AT line. They should have simply "updated" it with the two-part wide 12 marker like the original 2002 AT's had, that would make it a great watch again, WTF is wrong at Omega?
I agree its not an update, but an extension of the range. Nothing wrong with it, but just not what you preferred.
When mens prefer sub 40mm watches 🤦🏻♂️
Too thick. What a fat ass case back. This is so contradictory to the messaging of the dial. And that dial deserves better, the overall case profile on wrist is cool and dial is absolutely beautiful, I don’t understand the Watch. I’m a noob, unimportant viewer though I trust Omega will do better moving forward.
I think the standard Aqua-Terra is a much more handsome watch than this new small seconds variation. When I first read Omega was going to do this, I was quite excited…then I saw the range, and disappointment ensued. To my eyes anyway, they’re just uglier and not as well realized or balanced as the standard models 🤷♂️
You are wrong - it’s a matter of taste. I personally dont like a large wandering seconds hand as it disturbs the perfection and harmony of the dial. The small seconds feature removes this dissonace while keeping the dial alive. Its not just a gimmick
No longer trust this channel as it’s now just an advertisement for watch dealer
Sorry you feel that way. I do have to say I'm not sure why you came to the conclusion that it's not trustworthy. If you listen to the video I'm very fair in my coverage of the watch, including both things I like and dislike. My partnership with Exquisite Timepieces is a benefit for both myself and the viewer, giving me access to a wide range of watches to show on the channel and affording me the ability to deliver consistent and routine content. It also exposes the viewer to a great watch dealer who I'd recommend regardless of if they were providing video sponsorship. (edit: fixed grammar)
Absolutely beautiful Omega! The Silver dial is my favorite and hopefully will add to the collection soon.
