    YES! Voice Over FOR SURE!
    Especially the FOCUSRITE channel.
As a career engineer who has worked on every kind of project you could imagine, voiceover ESPECIALLY benefits from the simplicity of a single channel strip that essentially does ALL of your basics all in one visible combo.
Plus, these are ALL modeling very successful, very expensive consoles.
Just get one of these and take off like a rocket!
    👍😎👍

The Amek strip came out to me the most. I'm looking for a good vst cause my usual chain of effects has my cpu around 30% while I stream. Not the best if I want more FPS in games.

Thanks. Do these channel strips all have preamps on it?

According to their site, the Lindells and the Focusrite are stated as having pre's, the SSLs don't say as much but hey have a input gain, V-Gain and all consoles have TMT to add random noise and coloration. Hope this helps. All strips are great!

My bet is on the AMEK. So dynamic, punchy and clean.
What mic, hardware preamp and interface did you use?

      @PaulMDiaz  3 года назад +2

Yeah, the Amek is so good. In reality, all of them work well, but I agree the AMEK is great. Thanks for reminding me, I had planned to add the hardware in the description and forgot.
Sennhieiser MK4, through the DBX286a (lite comp, lite gate) and SSL2+ (4K off) into Mac Pro (Bucket) TwistedWave Momo 24/48000.

@@PaulMDiaz Thank you! Did you use a blackface 286a? I have the same preamp here. :)

@@gaborkiss1425 yes, blackface. I bought an Aphex Channel a few years back and I still prefer the DBX. If you listen to two recent Mic shootouts I did (posted one a few days ago), aside from me having dry mouth and hearing a lot of mouth smack, I’m perfectly fine recording without the dbx and using one of these strips to post process. I’m working on some other videos that I already planned but might be doing a video on some other nice VO plugins that are not from UAD.

@@PaulMDiaz Thanks again. I cannot get a loud enough and noisefree recording with my SM7B -> dbx 286A -> Apollo Twin X setup.
Are the SSL' s preamps that good?
Would you mind and share your dbx settings with me?

@@gaborkiss1425 I don’t own a SM7b anymore but you might want to look into a cloud lifter. The SSL interface is nice. I get a bit more gain than my 1st gen 2i2, but both are clean.
When I had the sm7b I only used the 286 to drive it into and m-audio interface and I had to crank the dbx
