Right, he thought he knew Job would curse God, wrong! he never knew God was allowing the testing of Job for the glory of His name but also to exaltation of Job despite him walking on the earth seeing what he could see among mankind. he is not omnianything thus cunning in his fact finding missions but it only by God's hand that he can do anything. The living God is in control!
I always wonder how Satan could have access to this world. If he couldnt manipulate thoughts or implant some doubts etc... He could not influence anything if he at least didnt have an ability like that. Unless it was from the start with the fall, that caused us to want to be like Gods, know good and evil, but with our limited brains there is no way we truly can. Which has led to much chaos, fighting and war on our planet.
The devil absolutely can read our minds if God allows him to, for God’s glory and our good. And yes, Christians often get attacked with intensity in this realm of battle.

Where in scripture does it say Satan can read a believer’s mind? Satan is not like God nor his equal, he is NOT omnipresent. So he alone goes to and fro like a roaring Lion seeking whom he may destroy & I believe that his focus is on those in high places such as politicians or maybe even those who are in high authority and follow the Lord or claim to follow the Lord. Now, Satan has many, many demons under his authority and they too cannot read minds but both Satan and demons can enter a non believer. God reads our mind and heart, but don’t raise Satan or demons to God’s level- we as believers control our thought life, while we are weak without the food of the Word of God we can think ungodly thoughts but we die daily to our flesh and grow by reading and hearing the Word of God.
