I love that every time Jamie brings Sherpa over Key greets Sherpa and thanks Jamie for bringing his bestie over! Such good manners Key❤
And every time Sherpa walks straight by Key and goes into the house😂 the friendship is one way only
It's so sad seeing Sherpa struggle. Poor Boy. Key on Jamie's leg was adorable.
Yes, it is... Getting up, getting moving can often be a struggle for Sherpa. Always heartbreaking. But Jamie doesn't let that get in the way of some wanders, as he calls them, and some activities for Sherpa. And Jamie is kind enough to also let Sherpa plenty of home garden time, since Sherpa loves hanging out in his garden so much.
Its lately been a reminder to me that they day will eventually come when Sherpa abruptly stops coming to visit Key or Jamie really does come over without Sherpa!
I hope if they have the chance & forewarning for Key to come say goodbye to his best friend when its time for Sherpa to pass on. My fur-brother suddenly was hit with a very fast, aggressive cancer that started showing symptoms of eye redness, then less than a month later he couldnt see, stand, eat, or control his bowels. I helped nanny him & his sister as puppies/young dogs, so I was very grateful my parents paid extra for a mobile vet to come to their home. I was able to come the day before, spend the night with my mom & I cuddling him in sleeping bags on either side of him, his sister at our feet. I think it really helped that my fur-sister was there to see that he had passed, so she wouldn't be waiting for him at the front window to come home from the vet. 😞
Key was like, "Jamie? What about Sherpa! " "i need my best friend! "

My Dad was that way with me when I had my first dog. He told me that when I came to my parents' house, I had better have my dog with me or don't come. Sadly they are both in heaven now, playing fetch and eating ice cream together. 🐞💜

Watching Key excited when Sherpa comes over, reminds me when I use to have a black lab, and she would get excited when my best friend would come over, She loved my best friend, and when he'd pull up in one of his cars I'd open the door and she'd go out and greet him with such joy and excitement. One time my friend fooled me and my dog, and showed up in a car we've never seen of his before. I wish he'd go back to fix up used cars and selling them again.
Awww, Key is always so happy when you say, "Sherpa is coming". He loves Jamie, but wouldn't want him to come on his own. It was very sweet when Key was resting his head on Jamie's leg. Have a great evening. 🐕 💖

Poor Sherpa, he is showing his age. It is so hard to see a beloved pet get to their senior years. To realize that such a close furry friend is getting close to the end of their life is so sad. I can't imagine Key not having his best friend to see on a regular basis. I'm sure that everyone including Key will be devastated when the day comes when Sherpa is no longer with us.

When Sherpa crosses the Rainbow Bridge will you tell Key or just let him wonder why his bestie doesn't come to visit anymore? Have you and Jamie talked about it yet? I worry about Jamie with no other source of Income what he'll do when Sherpa Passes! How he's going to keep paying for that Beautiful new home and the Jeep!
