    Five roaring EMDs make their way up the final stage of one of the steepest ghat sections in India, in charge of a loaded coal/ore train. Shot during the late monsoon season, the weather was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately poles have already arrived here and the days of this pure diesel section with its EMDs and ALCOs are numbered.

      58 wagons. Regardless of number of wagons banker locos will always be used.

    Why in Braganza Ghat didn 't construct double track route?

      Because it is treacherous terrain and the steep ghat section was built decades ago by the British.

      @@rugved.dhavalikar railway track requires much more peripheral space, compared to increasing a lane of a road. It will require massive efforts and will destroy whatever nature is remaining there - in the name of 'development'.

      No sir, this is just outside Castle Rock. As far as I know they've put poles till the second tunnel. Not sure if they've gone beyond as well but easy to guess considering their determination. 🤦🏾‍♂️
