What a nonsense. You may think the books are worse than the TV Show, but that is the real deal material all by the Author of Dexter. And the ending was much better than the TV Show and New Blood. @@substance-m7u-boredigger
one of the main premises of the show is the older you are when the traumatic event happens the more messed up you are (harrison having a blood lust but not like dexter) so it’s safe to assume he was much more of a psychopath than dexter and there never would have been a world where they co-exist
his brother should have been the last antagonist in the dexter seasons. with him unable to save his sis from his real brother . which leads to him killing his bro and faking his death to later come back again.
@@apex_blade I’m just saying it’s reasonable to expect Dexter to be able to get a camera if both Brian, and the therapist now that I think about it, both have cameras. The therapists is literally hidden as well.
I really loved the bloody room scene. The body tremors of deep severe trauma. Thought he was just a cold blooded killer then showed that he had a trauma he was covering with this dark hobby. Great show
Trinity was more impactful because of what he did to Dexter and Brian or the ice truck killer was more deeper with their connection with what they went thru as kids
I feel you. Idk what it was but the Trinity Killer just never clicked for me. With the Ice Truck Killer you really *felt* Dexter's attachment to them. Dexter's obsession with Trinity and refusal to kill him just felt contrived imo.
@@Kagrynac Trinity first appearance in 4x01 was terrifying. I thought at the time that the whole build-up of this villain and the claim that he was the most elusive killer would mean that we were dealing with some kind of mastermind like Ice Truck Killer or worse. Unfortunately, it turned out differently. Sure, no one could catch him, but the fact that Dexter could kill him at any moment at the very beginning of the season made Arthur not so dangerous to me. Later episodes took away his aura even more when Dexter tried to kill him several times and Arthur looked like a helpless and terrified weirdo.
@@-_MSR_- no he got out when he was 21 in season 1 dexter was 35 years old and brian 36/39 idk exactly but he was stalking his brother for like 10+ years they should add that detail
I understand why Brian couldn't stick around but it would've been interesting if there was at least one season of both brothers working together in some capacity, maybe struggling with each of their philosophies etc
Would of been amazing if Brian was able to accept Dexter for who he is now, maybe continuing his relationship with Deb starting a new leaf and having them all be one big real family - Brian regaining a brother but also a wife and sister
Can we have a short series on Brian Moser aka the Ice Truck Killer? Dexter would've been caught pretty soon in his life unless it was for Harry and his code. He gave Dexter a new meaning ,purpose and direction. We would love to know how and why Brian got obsessed with freezing the body parts after dismebering (the same way he and dexter witnssed the dismembering their mother). And why is only targeting the pr*stitutes? His mother wasnt one. She was addict, a pedlar who later turned informant. And how was his life in the instituon and what he did thereafter. Season 1 was hands down the best season of Dexter.
It's amazing to me how these serial killers hold high level jobs, have nice homes with a walk in freezer, boats, nice clothes, decent cars and seem high functioning and try to have relationships 😮
Mostly sociopaths try to have relationships but they're not capable of holding high-level jobs like psychopaths do because they struggle with impulse control and their emotions.
Yeah, there’s other good shows but this show is so fkn good and I gotta say it’s my favorite. That scene of the mom with her two children Dexter and Brian brought a tear to my eye and that’s like my 11th+ time watching it. I do agree that having Rudy around for longer than just season one would’ve been pretty cool. Rudy’s character was extremely interesting just like Dexter.
Re-watching the first season is awesome. Now that you know who Brian actualy is, and to Dexter, you catch all the little stuff that was there all along.
It could be that they released this video just because the new show, or because they wanted us to know the lore already set of the brothers in the original show. My theory is that Brian was that random guy that popped up in original sin asking dex if he could sit down. Also what if Brian is the one who kidnapped the child? I mean cutting off body parts and keeping the victim alive has a very ice truck killer feel to it. I’m calling it, that was Brian and he is the main villain in season 1 of original sin, he just gets away at the end.
Not including the scene where the blood samples match after 15:24 is very odd.. that's probably one of my favorite shots in the whole show where the camera is canted sideways while the Ice Truck Killer theme plays.
0:17 Angel here says "La Bestia" which would be "the beast" in English. But considering the context, a more fitting adaptation would be "the savage", referring to Brian's crude ways. Just wanted to point that out. Hehe
Bryan was the perfect villain for season one His backstory was tragic just like Dexter. They both watched their mom get killed in front of them. Dexter got help by Harry, but nobody took Brian . This will let him turn into a serial killer. He was a victim then he became a monster
If they do that video they better include the Harrison monster bedtime story where he mentions "Daddy's box" in reference to his blood slides and Dexter says, "you know about Daddy's box?"
Can anyone explain the framing of body parts and tableaus the ice truck killer does? Retroactively watching knowing it’s Dexter’s brother doesn’t even give a lot of clues to what the staging of the body’s mean.
It is just part of the show's freudian pseudo-psychology. Dexter was in a room full of blood, so he developed a fascination of blood. Brian saw his mother chopped up, so he chopped up people, removed their blood and rearranged their body parts. Not everything he does is for a clue on Dexter, but he kept leaving bodyparts that Dexter know.

It would’ve been interesting if Brian survived and became what his book counterpart was to Dexter in the books
Didnt end the saga of book but....was he ever revealed as the killer like on the show?

bro that would’ve been so good
Way better
That what i said
Either that or Doakes catching him & Dex gets the death penalty. That would have come full circle.
The biggest mistake in Dexter was killing Brian off in s1, should’ve kept for at least 3 seasons
That’s like saying Rick should have kept Shane alive for three seasons. They would of backdoor them
Brian was unfortunately to much of a threat and was a killer with no moral compass so him and Dexter simply can not coexist
Had Dexter installed a secret camera at his home, the killer would have been caught in just 2-3 episodes
