I lost my wife about 3 months ago now and I always listened to this song but until then it hadn't hit me like it does now. Pretty dark lyrics if you see them as losing loved one.
@@LoftOfTheUniverse Thank you for your thoughts. I can't say it's getting much easier just kind of delayed at times. It will be a year on the 9th of November when it seems like time has stood still. I know she's in a good place but still the bad memories of her in pain haunt me. Also I don't feel like I see the signs that brought me comfort now. Maybe they're meant to be temporary when we need them most. I'm lost but trying to piece what I have left back together. I try to be more loving and helpful towards others and carry that on as that was her gifts to this world. Take care and best wishes.
@@dmace81 the beatiful thing about God is that the impossible will be made possible. It can be the hardest thing to trust God with these things, but it's the only way because we can't defeat death. Only Christ has. It's not the same, but I lost my dad a few years back... and now I feel all of the weight still, but I know God will make all things repaired beyond the best they ever were.. and that's the good news, even when it feels like there's nothing good. We have our path until the end, but God will kill death and it'll be no longer

I think everyone feels that way about certain times in their life. In the early 2000's I was missing my Teenage years in the 90's. Though that was a hard time for me I had and still have good memories with friends. Now that I'm fixing to be 39 I find myself missing the 80s and early 90s when I was child. Reminiscing the good years of my childhood with my family and elementary school friends. A few yrs ago I was missing the 2004-2011 when I was training and competing in Muay Thai and MMA with Megalodon Gym and my own 2 sons childhood. Lots of good times and hard times . But I choose to remember the good. Music brings back a lot of those nostalgic feelings. I'm sure when I'm 50 I'll be remembering and missing these days in Florida. ( I'm a Georgia girl with much of my time spent traveling with my family to my dad's home state of West Texas ) I think through memories and music we will always keep wishing for times past. The trick is to make as many good memories as possible today so we'll all have something good to look back on tomorrow.
