Doing Texas Regional with weekends off. The pay will be low, but plan to volunteer some weekends. But you have that peace of mind knowing you have weekends off. And they won't mind if you want to stack some off days by staying in the road a little longer (for weeks).
👍 cool & yup exactly that's why i enjoy my position with this organization. ive sacrificed weekend work a few times, sometimes it accommodated both of us (customer & i) but sometimes had to eat it. It's all a corporate ladder & to start to climb a new one every 6 months to 1 year is annoying.
@@Hempfuelgroup That is true. Just found out too that if, say if a driver wanted to stack 7 days of off time, their max is 4, but they'd just require the driver to turn the truck in at terminal before taking more than the 4. And when you do that...they will upgrade the truck. Not sure what that means. I'm guessing the basic fluids and lubing of the joints or a different truck. Thanks for the informative vids with Heartland.
alrite. Happy to Help & they like it when drivers take the initiative & share they're own thoughts about the organization. p.s. email social@heartlandexpress.com a picture of your rig & they might give you $100 Amazon gift card 💯😎
Yooo M M are you still with heartland how are you liking them
If the pay is low, then working more at the same low pay is not a increase in pay. Biggest physicalgical scam in trucking, we don't pay much , but we will give you more hour of work. We know your cheap, so ,you do more work for less.
I’ve been working heartland 9 months my first driving job I love it staff is great my is great great company
Do you run regional with heartland
Just over 6 months of driving at Western Express, mostly a horrible company with some positive things. Don't mind talking about them. I am looking for a company that has good pay, at least 60k a year, and treats their drivers well. I will take 60-80k and great treatment, vs 80k plus, and treated horribly, pay still matters to me, but it isn't everything.
I'm joining cfi in January and am considering heartland after my year there because I've always heard good things about the company and it doesn't hurt that I live in the iowa city area
nice. That's good to hear.
Heard cfi got bought by heartland anyways so you're good 👍
I just now got my license at TLD it starts at $0.55 a mile good people love it
Good Stuff ✌️
I got 6 months and signed up for heartland . How is the California to phoenix route ? . I’m currently doing dollar tree for Werner enterprise
You start with the least amount of hours, the least amount of miles, the bottom of the ladder with this & any large organization.
Do they train in manual transmission for paid cdl ? Or is everything automatic now ?
Not sure about training in automatics but can ask Monday morning for ya 👍
Can you run different lanes during the year, so can I run the 6 state southeast run for Nov 1 - Apr 30 then MN regional for May 1 - Oct 31?
you'll start from the bottom. But if your a solid driver they'll accommodate you best they can ✌️
Do they let you get a freightliner if you request one as a company driver?
Not sure you should always try though
Low miles, can't get you home when scheduled
they might all be the same until the driver becomes owner operator & until overhead is close to $0
Are you with heartland now
Do they have big inverters to run a refrigerator ?
Bare minimum don't know the rating but yup they have medium inverters ?
@@Hempfuelgroup thanks
@@Hempfuelgroup whats the watts?
Not sure sorry
Is it possible to have a part time job and working here? Or do I have to give up my part time Job? Is it worth it?
good question for Heather or Steve in Safety dept. 👍
Do they do hair follicle
not 💯 sure. They didn't with me nor during a random either
Do they have driver facing cameras
They do not.
Does heartland still use manual transmissions??
Think so
@@Hempfuelgroup thanks, I’ve driven manual before but I broke my femur in 2012, I’ll still be able manage
@@moshpitinc2404 how the hell that happen?! ouch
@@Hempfuelgroup was in a head on collision
@@moshpitinc2404 that’s insane ! If you tell any company that situation im positive they’ll find an automatic truck for you.
They have dedicated?
They sure do but depends on your region & specific location.
@@Hempfuelgroup Missoula Montana
@@georgepristouris4149 oh man your up there. Might be a long shot but always ask call Heather.
@@Hempfuelgroup ok thanks 🙏
How much the base pay???
Apu ..?
yes
Professional yapper
trying my best sister
Southeast regional 2/2/23
Is that your assignment ?
How is it so far ? Heartland just emailed me and I wanna do SE region as well
Heartland was a good company to drive for. Martin in Phoenix is fantastic. I left to go LTL and prefer the pace of that compared to TL. I always felt like Heartland didn't get the recognition they deserved. There's a lot of shady trucking companies out there. Heartland treats their drivers well. If you're looking for a regional/OTR company I'd recommend Heartland. Heartland continues to make huge moves in the industry and even though I don't work for them anymore, I still follow their public financial dealings. Mr. Gerdin is a smart man who knows how to play the game.
Did you mean Marten? Or Martin? I want to drive Phoenix for the winter and St. Paul, MN for Spring and Summer. Man that would be the perfect situation for me and the dog
Hey do they let u drive in the snow
Always depends but probably not they shut you down & if driver continues driving after shut down order… believe youll be excused of your duties.
Did you run regional with heartland
I wish they allowed pets😞, but I hear they are pretty good to work for
Thanks for the comment.
they might accommodate if you have a service animal for medical conditions or "emotional support" friend.
Heartland owns Millis Transfer. Millis allows pets. Just a thought.
Thanks for the video, great content! I'm wanting to go with Heartland Express and I'm hoping do they take in recent graduates from 6 week training courses?
happy to help. They just recently opened a training course in Phoenix Az but that's a good questions for Heather the Recruiter with in depth answers to questions like that. Give her a call please. 800-441-4953 thank you.
Heartland is ok if you want to stay in one area.
Even though they have terminals in almost every state they don't really have an otr division. That part is a lie
noticed the same im hourly & will include it next video if im here 4 yrs.
Everybody seems to like em, me personally my experience has been shit.
please tell me more.
How does the pay protection go how do you actually qualify for it ?
It always has fine print. They do have a minimum requirement but soon as i started i accepted pretty much every opportunity / freight they offered up.
I been driving for 9 or 10 years and have looked at heartland years ago just didn't do it but im looking at 2000 a week been a while since i been on the road southeast regional open.
No 4 year review?
no
Hey man I appreciate your video, very positive perspective and that's good seeing that I go to orientation the 17th in VA. Hit me back and I'll give you the referral with the split cause I'm a USMC Vet😁
Thank you for your service ✌️
I’m sure there gonna leave after this whole only ev trucks to accommodate on the road by 2035 crap
they're a mega corporation they have a facade of being nice but it's all business. Let's see who pays their drivers more $ after saving money on ev truck or CNG fuel.
Half way thru an said nothing
Hey I start orientation next Wednesday how is the pay for southeast regional
A struggle ! Will not lie. if you've been paying attention to the freight market it's been on a slow decline for owner operators & then it's now hitting large mega fleets with spot prices for contracts. But i have faith in the industry because energy cost / fuel cost will turn tables. But don't quote me ✌️use my driver code stick around +1 year & get $500 from my driver referral bonus. 🤓
Did you ever start on the southeast regional
How many miles a week can I average on southeast regional and be home on weekends
It’s gunna be low but I’m no longer with the organization
@@Hempfuelgroup ok and I know your busy but what states did you mostly run on southeast
Local account home daily was great while it lasted.
@@Hempfuelgroup I understand
