I was also looking for the spine design for weeks until someone posted an image on Reddit. But honestly a video speaks more than an image for me, so thank you!
I literally couldn't find a single photo online about how this looked, so I knew I had to make something for all my other AOT readers out there. I'm glad you found it useful!
That looks pretty sweet! I just found out about them. I've given up on the idea they'll come out with hardcovers in the US so these will be the way to go
Appreciate making a video about this release. Was real curious about these new omnibuses. I already have all the colossal editions as I prefer having the artwork much larger and in your face to be more immersed. Which is the best way to read it IMO rather than those smol volumes. They're also releasing a hardcover colored series of only a select few chapters in January so I'm definitely excited about that.
I only payed around $20 dollars each on my Attack on Titan Colossal Editions. I have volumes 1 through 10 in the singles then it goes to the Colossal Editions. I like the Colossal Editions better, it's easier for me to read and saves room on my single bookcase. Thank you for making a video because I was wondering what it would look like, and I love the spine design.
@@Kostanovi I found volume 3 at my local used bookstore. With volume 4&5 I got from Amazon, I paid about $22 each. Just kept an eye on the volumes and when the price got down low enough, I bought them.
it looks like a possibility that all the spines could be one collected image of a bunch of colossal titans walking off into the distance. the ending of s2 has a very similar image.. idk tho i’m probably reaching there lol.
Looks pretty awesome to be honest. Might be the best looking edition of AoT in english so I imagine it'd be a great way to collect the series that way. Pretty sad tho that you guys didn't get a hardcover edition of the series like we got here in germany. Nonetheless very cool edition!
Thanks for the review. I was thinking of buying the omnibus since I dont have the standard volumes, but I dont know how it will looks like. So your video definitely help! So far I have bought the colossal edition, but they are way too heavy for me 🥲
Looks like a size almost equivalent to the VIZBIG 3-in-1's but with the more traditional paper used in anime volumes compared to the near printer paper smoothness of the VIZBIG's. (I own all of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in VIZBIG format and it is fucking awesome in this format with the paper quality.) From what I saw from the Colossal edition and the amount of glare coming off of the pages in the video review I watched, it's the same paper the Death Note All-in-One edition used which is essentially the same paper that Western comic book companies such as Marvel and DC used (which is by no means a bad thing. That shit is slick as hell) but usually that should constitute a cheaper price. The Death Note All-in-One cost me just over $30 Canadian (at the time as I got it on release) for 12 volumes of manga condensed into one single book? FIRE🔥 Yes, it's as small as a traditional manga volume in terms of height, but the fact I get the entire series for that price is incredible. $60 or more including tax for even five volumes for the Colossals is nuts. I'd rather this format where if each Omnibus Edition is $25 Canadian, I get six volumes for $50 once Omnibus vol. 2 comes out the third week of January, and get an extra volume, while still saving $10? Sign me up.
Thank you so much for this video! It gave me some assurance to go ahead and buy the omnibus since it's the best bang for buck on a per volume price. They're coming out with a colored series of books for AoT so I'd like to get these omnibus' and the upcoming colored series rather than the colossal editions. Thanks again!
I find these for 20 bucks each and with a buy 2 and get 1 free, I managed to get from volume 1 up to 9 with just 40 bucks. Definitely cheapest release among the others editions for me.
@@ambelion It's a shop in my country. Most shops here order from USA or UK when you place an order. This one has plenty in stock and so they do sales often. I believe RightStuffAnime and Barnes and Nobles has buy 2 and get the 3rd free offers as well sometimes.
I think it's mostly the advertisement pages and 'author's notes' found near the end of most shonen books that they take out- The actual manga itself is untouched, so rest assured!
I decided to buy the Omnibuses, since they're cheaper than the rest. Omnibus 1 is on the way, and I have pre-ordered Omnibus 2 and 3. Unfortunately, Kodansha keeps delaying the release date for Omnibus 2 and 3, from 22nd February to 22nd March now. My question is, for the Colossal Edition, did the same thing happened, where the release dates kept being extended? Or were they released on time? I'm just worried that Kodansha might now release one omnibus per year, like the Colossal Editions.

I love how they increased the height a bit. The Shaman King omnibus being the same width+height as the singles just didn't feel complete.

Stoked to see how nice that colored HC is going to be- not gonna lie!

No way you found the colossal editions at 20 when they cost 50-60. Where did you found them at that price? Best price I've found is 35-40 bucks.

$20 = bullshit. In Canada the Colossals range from $60-70 which would equate to $40-50 in the US.
@@TheSpliffstarEffect ikr
Definitely going to buy it as soon as it comes out in my country
Finally someone made a video about this! Thank you :)
Thank you! I'm finally ahead of a trend on RUclips! 🙌🏻 :)
Thanks for the vid on this! And they'll come out every two months 😍
After the BAL Last Order omnibus, I swore off Kodansha 3 in 1's. This one looks nice though!
Just like with modern anime, Kodansha must have saved all their budget for this one series haha!

Thanks for the sneak peek! Mines literally out for delivery today

Just picked up mines. I didn't even know these were out. Really like it so far!

Wow, the volume came in good condition. Good job Amazon. 👏

Colossal Boys are THICC! I adore them but I will say- having the 11 or so of these new omnibuses over time will have one hell of a shelf presence!
I loved the omnibus i now have 1-2-3 4-5-6 and 7-8-9 all the released ones I'll be picking up 10-11-12 that comes out soon

Did this thing is cheaper than the collosal edition or somewhat
The Omnibus is smaller than the Colossal edition, but its much cheaper.
So the omnibus is cheaper buying new or used
I guess it is a good way to collect the serious
I'mean series
This looks very interesting. Is is easy to read? Meaning, can you easily read the inner balloons closer to the middle of the book?

Just asking, this book is a 600 pages book, but isn't the individual volumes has 208 pages? Do they skip some pages in the omnibus ver??

In canada the colossal is 65 bucks
yeah good thing i held off to collect aot, definitely going to go with the omnibus option. its beautiful
Same. It was colossal or nothing for years for me. Now.... the games changed haha
Metoo!
Does it miss any important pages from the separate volumes? And does this omnibus end at the same moment vol. 3 does?
Very underrated channel
Are there the covers of in-between volumes inside the omnibus book?
I'm interested in seeing what seven deadly sins omnibus is like i assume the same, same publisher
i just got it it is soo cool
Super good video and great book should been HC but ohwell
I think that’s it’s much better than the other aot editions lmao
