  • Euthanasia is the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (such as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy. It is illegal in most countries around the world. This short film will show you one of many stories that ended up with the pain and suffering of a patient and the rejection of Euthanasia.

I believe if someone is so ill and are suffering such pain that they can never live any kind of normal healthy life, they should be given the choice to die with dignity.

A person can't calm down when they are having a seizure, but there was no seizure here. He was irritated and desperate for pain relief, probably going a bit crazy and didn't realize what exactly he was doing at that moment.

My grandmother was a beautiful and strong woman who immigrated to the US from Scotland by herself at only 18. She passed away in her early 80’s from Lewy body dementia. Her last 6 months was spent in a bed because she was not able to walk, and had lost all mental capacity, leaving her non vocal and terrified. I remember crying every time I saw her from the fear and pain she went through, and I would have done anything to relieve her of that pain if it wasn’t illegal. Leaving someone to live that kind of life when there’s no possibility to get better is inhumane in my opinion, my Grandmom was a strong woman who would have never wanted to live like she did her last 6 months

Euthanasia should be legal to all patients all over the world. who are terminally ill and there’s no more cure for it. Why make the person suffer? We do it for Animals bec they can’t speak loud of their pain . But each country/ government should understand the prolonging the sick is indeed painful to the patients and the family. Let them go peacefully and ease their pain and suffering. I’ve seen my uncles died suffer from cancer . Their body jumps all over the bed like that bec it’s painful. The nurse gave drips of morphine every single time. I’ve seen my parents go thru hell bec of multi organ failure and doctors said no more option but just let it be . What! Make them suffer longer? My mom dying in bed telling me I don’t want this anymore. I need to sign the paper. It hurts . All I could do is cry and keep talking to doctors. RIP mom and dad. Uncles. No more pain. No more suffering.

I lost my beloved husband of 56 years 2 months ago. My husband was Do not resusitate due to advanced Alzheimers. He suffered an acute MI, I spoke with the ER cardiologist and I decided to have him taken to 8th floor hospice. They disconnected the IV fluids and instead had a needle in the vein in his hand and was NPO that means no food or drink. He was on oxygen and on the hour was given morphine by IV and the next hour Valium IV, they kept rotating those drugs every hour and he passed away 9 hours later. Those meds given that frequently cause the heart and breathing to eventually cause death. Euthanasia is illegal in Texas, but this is a humane end to life that is legal. I loved him with all my heart, but he didn't suffer. Nobody should suffer at end of life.

My Mum was very ill in hospital with Kidney Failure and also suffering from a super bug called Clostridium Difficile it’s a killer if your very young or elderly!
My mum was on life support and it was that which was keeping her alive.... they reduced everything and gave her extra Morphine and she slipped away peacefully.....
But I’m all for Euthanasia because no one should suffer at the end....
I’m so sorry about your Husband.....😔

Usually, patients who are terminal are given a combination of pain mediation such as morphine and anti-anxiety medication (a tranquilizer such as Valium or another type, there are many). Normally, they would just go into a coma, eventually cease breathing and then the heart stops. Pain meds can affect the respiration (it will suppress it) and they usually sleep, then become unconscious for a while (hours or a day or two depending on their condition) and then they die. They do NOT suffer with that kind of medication. Their family does, but they do not.

I struggle with this. Dr s go to the court's in the UK to prevent children having further treatment to prolong their life when the parents know there are additional treatments available, and then Dr s also take relatives to court to prevent them wishing to assist a loved one who wants to end their life such as being taken to Dignitas. I really hope that the law will have changed if I wish to make that decision in the future.

Read more about how many innocent are in prisons by federals. And read about The Innocent Project to understand that federals control more lives you can only imagine. Unfortunately, people have no rights to proclaim their own wills and that’s why there is no real freedom. It’s only an illusion.

I'm Jewish, believe in God, and I thank God that here in Canada we have MAID now legal. I get so tired of watching and listening to armchair quarterbacks trying to push their agenda, trying to say euthanasia is a sin, harming families and moreover, patients. We're NOT interested in your opinions. If you have a belief, that is YOUR choice. People have a right to end their suffering at any time without your permission. To deny people this treatment to help with their passing to Heaven is the sin. People have NO right criticising anyone who chooses MAID! I pray this young man and his family have found peace ❤🙏🏻

Cultural and religious traditions, bias, and plain fear keep many people from talking, reaching out, and getting a full understanding of the dying process. And it also, unfortunately keeps them from finding peace and closure within the family circle. We had our mother die at home. She was 95 and lived a long life. She was frail but not ill. I can sympathize with these people who will lose a young family member, tragically. I wish they had more comfort and support.

In my opinion, the one who gives you life is the one responsible to take it , not you. Life is a test and isn’t easy , the ones who decide to take their lives by themselves ‘suicide’ are the ones responsible for refusing to take the test and failing it. If your body can’t bear the pain you’ll eventually die naturally but ppl need patience, and patience is the key for our problems. Be patient and let it happen naturally don’t be responsible for death even for animals. I believe the phrase “ Mercy killing “ is more of an excuse for the killer not the killed person since he’s dead alr… Finally, hard times will come but what makes the difference is how we react to them .

(I have seen plenty of dying patients, this guy's color is fairly good, he face (cheeks are still full even with the mask on, looks like they put some black eye-shadow above and below his eyes (a trick often done) and his ears are red, (good circulation) -- the muscles in his arms are normal and defined when he grabs her -- the whole thing is a horrible unrealistic FAKE!)

Humans are living longer today and it IS a growing problem, especially since patients can be very difficult in their end stages. It requires a LOT of work by very caring people and that is NOT AVAILABLE in many facilities!
I have worked where a patient may have "thrown themselves out of bed" one time only, but proper medication and restraint should PREVENT that before it happens, if the patient is properly monitored. There are certainly signs if the patient is observed the way they should be and prevented from those kinds of actions!
We as societies all over, need to better our hospice facilities so that the above kind of thing DOES NOT HAPPEN. There is no easy fix, because it is costly, but we DO need to improve.

He will find a way once left alone. There are no restraints placed on him. Depending on the floor of the hospital is, suicide is a very real possibility. It doesn’t appear that any restraints were called for and or used.

If a person is in his right mind and knows what's going on around him there is no reason why a person should have to lay in pain and suffer. He knows he will die but it is decision he should be able to make himself. He is the.one.suffering. No one wants to die so his.pain.must be overwhelming for him to submit himself to it. If an animal is in pain vets put them out of their misery. Why can't we do it for human being who know.what is happening to them

Sadly, this is a montage with an actor. For anyone who has experienced the agony of a loved one dying a long, protracted painful death from cancer, or other life-limiting disease, the option of Doctor assisted suicide/Euthanasia should ALWAYS be an option.... As a Senior Palliative care Nurse in the United Kingdom, I welcome the day when we, as healthcare professionals and our Medical colleagues can offer Euthanasia as an 'end of life' care choice. Having people beg, BEG, you to 'do something to help them', yet your hands are tied makes ME helpless with desperation...😔

I think everyone should have the last say in how they want their soul to pass thru to the other side.
I for one do not like the idea that I will have to stay in a state of tremendous pain with screams of help me , help me and still I have no one that can get me home on the other side.
