What a beautiful place you have built. I do the same on my 20 acres but minus strangers. I also bath everyday and clean my clothes. I am an Original Mother Earther and at 73, the youngest on our 350 acre working farm. Grass fed beef, commercial hay and logging. I teach rural NH lost arts from 1920 to 1940. This is a humourous comment. Trust me. When your cows are out in the road you will not have time to be self-centered and sit down to meditate. You will have to run as fast as you can while praying no truck hits and kills the $6000.00 bull. That bull that is the only profit producer of the land you pay payments on a paper deed. No bull. No profits. No payment on deed . All your hard physical labor lost. Is your physical hard labor really going to protect whole long life with enough money after you can no longer work.
@Dari-b5g- Wow- I apologise for sounding self centered. Not living a fairly tale life here, just honest New Hampshire 3rd generation working farm. Yes we have a Hereford bull. Yes, if he breaks the fence and your car crashed into him we are at fault. Same for my horses getting out on the road. NH state law. We have the local police help us stop traffic in the fall when the bulk of our herd crosses the road to winter in the dairy barn. All are now safe in the barn, so you can drive by safely today, although one driver was speeding by last month and ended up upside down in one of our fields. No significant injury. His bad. We are all past retirement age here and can stop anytime. My guys enjoy being out on the land or they would be underfoot. We are solvent, insured and enjoying this lifestyle. Doesn't sound like farming is your passion. Did I mention we are all college educated farmers? We are not into making careless mistakes that can be avoided. Every business has its liabilities.
