    Glad you got to experience some beautiful mountain streams! Lovely stuff! Shame about the coastal fishing. It is the same in most of the Med because of commercial fishing pressures, so I can imagine it is 10 times worse in Japan. I was actually surprised you caught so many bass in Tokyo Bay!

      Great fun ! Sometimes you have to dig the fish out! 🤪 I was as well when I learnt it’s a huge bass nursery! Surprising isn’t it, but I think the Tokyo area has done a lot to preserve them and honestly now I’m back in Tokyo you can notice the difference!! 😲 thank you for watching as always pal ✌️✌️

    Hello buddy. What a great video and
    Them little streams with the little fish you were catching were absolutely amazing. The water was so clear. …. Just an amazing place. Like you say though it’s a shame that the fish everywhere in that area have been taken advantage of and that’s obviously what they do. No wonder they get a lot of grief for fishing in waters that are out of bounds … so they should. They should be ashamed of themselves. At some point you have to put in what you take out and it won’t be long before certain species of fish will be extinct. It’s a crying shame my friend it really is. Anyway, hope you’re okay though buddy ,,, I could see it in your face as you mentioned how emotional you were. It’s crazy isn’t it. Taking mother nature for granted but then we all are guilty of that at some point … Anyway, on a happier note love to hear you had the Vengaboys pumping out the tunes. I absolutely love the Cheesy dance tunes 👍😁🥰…… all the best to you my friend, and you get home safe 👍🎣👍🎣

      Glad you enjoyed John! those streams were ace and the water colour was electric blue, you can't get enough of it!!
      Sad about the state of affairs, but I think there's so many factors to blame for it and lets be frank each nation is just as bad as each other, other than Norway arguably hahah! But its not too late fish are the most resilient species on the earth, other than humans arguably. hopefully things can turn around and we give them the time to recover. The thing is if we give them 1-2 years recovery the improvements will be sensational!! Fingers crossed that happens and fingers crossed the Venga Boys continue to be played!!! Thank you as always John, hero of the highest order!!

      @@japanesefishingadventures you will find it’s YOU that’s the hero, my friend.!!! I don’t get chance to do a lot of fishing and I absolutely love it but just too much work and commitments get in the way. These lighter nights make it a bit easier though and Easter bank holiday coming up. I’m hoping to get a day out with the Old Man as haven’t been fishing with him for a long time. I’ve been fishing with my dad since I was a kid and I still try to when I get the time. He’s retired so he can go any time he wants. Lucky sod he is 🤣🤣..but that aside Honestly, you’re Videos fill that gap for me and everyone, and I just think more people should actually like the video as you have a lot of subscribers, and you should get just as much if not more likes…. There should be a” love “ button as well, not just a “ like “ button 🤣🤣 …..
      don’t get too excited though 😳😁🤪🥰

    Bro, I think you been had, Miyazaki is not over fish, infact it's one of the top destination for fishing in my experience what I've seen so far there is tide and times when you go fishing and in that prefecture you can catch really big fish like barramundi. (catch and released only, they are a protected)
    So I don't know who you been talking too, I think some one put you into a spin, or maybe your fishing knoledge is limited to the UK.

    • @japanesefishingadventures
      @japanesefishingadventures  Месяц назад

      I’ve lived in Japan almost 18 months since posting that video and yes I’ve learnt about the various species that still live off the south coast and some of the estuaries around Miyazaki. But I think you may have missed the point. Because you can catch a species doesn’t mean it’s not overfished. Japan’s seas in general are suffering from overfishing as is most of the world and the message from that gentlemen is one I have heard all too many times since being here for an extended period. Noted there’s fish to catch but the nations sea fishing as a wholesale is alarmingly depressing compared to 20 years ago. And this is not exclusive to Japan but the rest of the world.

    Another cracking video H . I know what you mean at the end . The problem is that many cultures fish to eat and kill everything they catch . E.G , here in France , an angler cant take six per day , Perch ? 10 per angler per day , I saw one angler kill a nice Tench , wtf ? I asked him , I'll give it ti the dog he said .
    There are some "no kill" stretches being introduced for trout , but not many for pike ( which are also taken ) .
    Be grateful for the UK angling scene , and get behind the groups that are trying to stop sewage being dumped into rivers . Even the bloody sea is not safe . Tight lines bro .

      The world over treats fish like shit unfortunately and I don’t think any nation can hold their heads high! Even Norway almost lost it all with extensive salmon farming, it’s just a sad situation and I think the only way to solve is by fishing just stopping, but that really isn’t viable 😂 thanks for watching though and glad you enjoyed it 🥹
