I'd advise getting a vintage bayswater, I have several, years old, oak one was made in 2009, used regularly and not carefully, and 0 issues with them. The corners are still good I've no stitching issues. I also prefer the brass, the newer gold ones scratch so easily and the just don't age well. It's probably the best made bag that I've ever owned, they withstand anything you'll throw at them, mine are treated how you would have treated a schoolbag.
Definitely give an older bag ago, like everything else, things were just made alot better years ago. Now things are made with maximum margins being the only concern and longevity is bad for business: make it cheaper and hope it needs replaced.

Mulberry is a great brand. Admittedly, I prefer their older/ vintage styles but the company stands by its products. They also have great customer service. Last year, I had a problem with a genuine Mulberry bag which I’d bought pre-loved from a different well known company that specialises in handbag restoration. Mulberry helped me to get a full refund. I highly recommend Mulberry.

Off topic but: I've been obsessed with the vanilla on a la folie and thought that you maybe know about a similar perfume with that kind of vanilla? I've heard that the intense is similar but maybe there is others that I don't know about?
You know, it’s such a unique fragrance I can’t really think of anything similar right now. The combination of berries and spices with the vanilla makes it almost like a heavenly bakery scent! I wouldn’t say the intense is similar to à la folie, in fact I found it to be very underwhelming. You might like Burberry Goddess as it is a heavy gooey vanilla scent, or maybe the new red black opium as that’s got the fruitiness with vanilla. But à la folie is definitely its own thing and I wouldn’t say there are other perfumes much like it :)

They allowed you to return a pre owned bag? That’s strange. Was the refund a full refund or how much you paid for it?
Yeah they did, because I had bought it direct from Mulberry from their pre loved section. So the standard guarantee you have with Mulberry applies because it was bought directly from them I guess? I was refunded the full amount I paid for it
As much as we pay for those bags it is crazy they do stuff so cheaply.
In general I’ve been very happy with the quality from Mulberry, however this was unfortunate. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌸
