Steve, just now saw this. A couple items that might help: once I got the wing position set, I glue it in place. The tail cone can be tightened by wrapping with a little tape so it friction fits tighter into the fuselage. Your last flight looked good but still needs a touch more up elevator trim. Glad you've enjoyed the plane!
Mine was also nose heavy and the folded prop hit the wing when trimmed out. Then I noticed a figure in the instructions showing the trapezoidal steel weight is the same shape as the forward hole in the wing support. The weight is shown in that hole. Putting the weight there moves the CG & wing back when trimmed. The folded prop no longer hits the wing and I am getting longer flights. Next I am going up to 1/8 inch rubber.
That last flight went well 👍 Nice to see one flying in the UK. Mine's ready also but straight away built with RC assist. Just waiting now for that illusive calm day....
I need to make a winding stooge for mine now that I have bought a 10-1 winder. I’m waiting for a calm evening now to fly again as I have made adjustments to the CoG.
@@A470RCSoaringI'll look forward to see what you come up with. I do like the ones that are basically a pole with lines stretch out and pegged down. That way I won't have to bend down.
Nice plane. With available technology it shouldn't be very hard to build an electric winder with a built in turns counter, at least a person with the right skills.
Please buy a 20-1 winder from Josh below, you are only touching the surface of what the model can do without it. NOBODY flies a model like this without winder.....may be a good idea for Josh to sell a combo pack. I have a feeling I know where he can get ore winders
Hi. I have just bought one and am having problems getting enough winds on an lack of power when I do. I have 2 loops of the supplied rubber (4 strands) and even after a good lubing, it snaps at around 200 winds! When I get close to 200 and fly, it hardly has enough power to do a half circuit but it does have a lovely glide. Any clues and do you know where I can get some decent rubber in the UK?
Hi Bob. You can buy rubber from this link. www.vintagemodelcompany.com/flight-rubber.html And check out this video which I think you will find useful. This guy is brilliant with all things runner power. ruclips.net/video/EPP-6e_gTkI/видео.html
I just ordered one. There is something magical about rubber powered, free flight models. I have a Gollywock I am hoping to build too.

Thank you 🙏 I love watching your videos. They’re entertaining as well as informative 👍

@@A470RCSoaring I have a winder but like you require a stooge also.
I’m going to look to make one from MDF or such like when I can get to B&Q. For now I’ll have to improvise.

Check out the radio gear for a UMX vapor. That is what I used on mine and it works great. It has 2 channels and gives me all the control T need.
Fly max joooooon

I bought a 10-1 winder for a modest £10 so all good Joe 👍

@@A470RCSoaring Many thanks. Very useful and I've just ordered some Tan Supersport. Cheers.
