Hi there! I have been invested in my own animation piece using this cool Aang rig. When I'm done with it I want to add it to UE4. But I have a problem..the Rig joints are not visible in the scene! They're not showing in the outliner. I tried everything but Just can't seem to crack it. Can anyone help meon how to show the full skeleton joints of this rig? Thanks heaps!
This rig is reaaally nice, I love it, but it took me to an issue that I just don't know how to get rid of... I scaled the model down to 0.124 to match another's rig height and the eyelids are just destroyed (go through the eyeballs/don't cover the eyeballs). As it was popping in the viewport in the first time I thought it was just bugging, but no.. I already started blocking poses with 6 cameras and I don't know how to fix this, I'm just scared to keep working with it without fixing the issue before I'm done with the animation.. I'll contact Rijah Kazuo to tell her, but wanted to share it with you as I didn't saw the problem in your review, just in case. Thanks for your rig reviews btw !
@@jeandenishaas Alright, Rijah just told me I downloaded an older version and the issue was resolved in a newer one ! I'm relaxed and not worry anymore ... oof ! :)
Hi, I'm a beginner animator. Can someone tell me why when I move the root around I move the rest of the body at the same time? like if I move the root down all the body goes down, the knees don't bend etc? Thanks!
@@satsuhatakeIf the arms are set to FK then yes the root will move the whole character except the feet, but if you lower the root then the legs will bend. Not sure why yours don’t?
@@jeandenishaas Oh that was the problem!! I didn't have it set that way because the arms and legs of the other models I used in class worked differently so I changed it. Sorry for the dumb question I'm just beginning animation in class, thank you so much for the quick answer x_x!

Hi ! Quick question sir I couldn't find the pole vectors. It doesn't matter too much since I can use the "twist" function of the legs and the FK for the arms (it fits my animation more anyway) but it's still a bit strange. They exist, but the outlined shows them as "hidden" and I can switch them to visible since they're apparently connected to something... Any ideas what this "something" could be ?

sandipan karmakar Overlap, arcs, etc. is easier with FK (at least to me). With IK you have to be more careful with arcs and overlap needs to be specifically posed out.

@@Malakakill You mean as in having different options for proxy, mid and then smooth geom? I need to check. I thought you meant if the geom is generally smooth or a low poly character.
hodako98 irureta It’s a pretty easy rig. Just don’t get too deep into bendies and facial controls or cloth deformations. For any rig, just stick to the main controllers and focus on timing and spacing and mechanics.
Since there is no way to get this rig in blender, do you know any rigs, that we, blender users, can use in blender? It would be very helpful. Or just any other rigs from ATLA.

The channel options have space switchers, I’d start there.

Is there any FK to IK switching on this? So if I had it posed in IK then switched it to FK would it go into a T pose
Last I checked it was going back to a T pose but I haven’t updated it in a long time so I can imagine there have been some changes made to it?

Wait the root goes down but the knees don’t bend?
@@jeandenishaas Yes. When I click on the root and I move it down it's like I'm moving all the character down not just the root, you know?

Not a Maya expert lol, but I do know you can manually put the glowing eyes in After Effects.
You could add a shader and do it manually?
sir could you tell me how to make his eyes and that arrow sign of his head glow....:)
You can tweak the shaders to animate the color or change the color as a whole and render different passes.

When I load it into Maya it doesn't load any colours/textures other than the cloth and clothes. E.g. the eyes, skin, and tattoos don't load.
Ya_Boi_Logs You have to repath the textures.
there’s a little checkered ball button above your viewport that turns on textures

You’d have to maybe add geometry into the roof of the mouth to cover the eyes?

You’d have to ask the riggers about compatibility, I believe I tested it on Maya 2019 back then.
