This video was very helpful thank you so much, when l got to the garage the cap couldn't open we spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to open it together with the garage assistants but when l watched this video it opened right away. Thank you
Thankyou for this. Had actually pulled up at petrol station before realising the fuel flap was stuck. Nearly considered levering it open but good ol RUclips to the rescue. Video made it so easy for me to follow. Fortunately mine was just jammed as now it opens and closes ok. Thanks again!!
Sounds great, happy to help. Beware that if it has jammed once it did it for a reason and may do it again! Get some good ole WD-40 and spray right down into the catch inside the flap. If you can get the WD-40 into the bellows and the cable. You may be lucky and this will save your motor! Good luck 🤞🏼
I never really comment on most video but this video was so valuable. Yesterday went to kwik fit and was told they don’t do that and suggested breaking it to gain entrance. They even suggested I hire a car! Thanks a lot for your great and informative content… Now I can drive to London for concert.
This worked wonders in seconds on my 5 door 2005 Astra. Thank you so much! My fuel was on low when I went to the gas station so I was panicking. Thank you so much!
@@SW337THC You will be fine. As long as you can get to the cable and give it a pull the pin will release. Just remember that if the motor has failed the the door will not lock. Could be for the best though! Let me know how you get on. Best wishes
Just saved me as wouldn’t have had a clue how to open it and I was on empty! Can you just continue to open it from the boot? Don’t drive it much so only fill up about once a month. Cheers
Hi, yes you can do that, though it is a bit of a faff. I recommend pulling the plug out of the central locking motor to disable it completely. If you check my channel there's another video on how to change the motor completely but for you it will cover how to unplug it. It will leave the fuel cap insecure but it is pretty much impossible to get to the fuel through the cap alone. Good luck with it and I wish you many more Astra miles!
Yes. All this procedure does is frees up the dead solenoid motor. You will need to disconnect the wiring or replace the old motor. Be warned that Disconnecting the wiring will make the cap insecure.
That's right. The rest of the central locking still works. All disconnection of the solenoid wiring to the fuel flap does is stops the fuel flap relock and this means it's not secure, but also means it's not stuck shut. You can then open and close by hand. Only permanent fix is to replace the solenoid, or a locking cap is available.
Hi and thanks for the question. I don't have a Corsa but the operation is the same. If you look inside the rear light covers in the boot, or move some trim around you will find the black cable. Follow it back to the solenoid and then push the collar back in the same way as the Astra. Hope this helps.
What can you see? You are looking for a black cable, like a bike brake cable. Follow it back towards the bumper until you feel a collar. Then just push it back. That is it. But be ready for it to happen again
Hi, I am sure your local GM Dealer would supply one for the price of the vehicle itself! GM13125619 or 13208157 are the part numbers. Or any online auction site is the best way. Expect to receive a serviceable replacement that someone has painted writing on! 😁👍🏼 . See my other videos how to do it

Very useful video, thank you
I will go for the key lock. Less to go wrong.
That can be true. Just make sure you disconnect the wiring for the solenoid. If it should free off and snag again you are back to square one!
Thank you brother

It worked but when I locked the car, it stucked again. So do I need to do this procedure all the time ;
