- In this new series I am taking a look at the full discography of David Bowie (both live and studio albums). Starting wit his first album I am going to review his entire catalogue and try to notice changes, developments and see what a chronological listen of his music does with the experience.
Today, the 14th of June, marks one of the more interesting releases from David Bowie this year. The album Rock 'n Roll Star is a collection of songs; demo's and outtakes from the Ziggy Stardust session. The record has the following tracklist:

Good review of this release I have ordered the CD box which has 5 CDS and tons more material and outtakes Can’t wait for it!!
I am very curious that will be like! Sound more like a small archive than a record.
@@top5records796 Yes, It’s a lot of music and live performances are included The box is expensive but includes a nice hardcover book

@@top5records796 hey what’s up ! Had a chance to play it this morning. And I really like it. I think it is much better then the RSD “ Waiting in the Sky” I have a nice flat and quiet copy. I like how it sounds. After hearing both sides am I crazy that with some of these songs and maybe some more work “Ziggy” could have been @ double album ?
Glad I opted for the single album over the box set. Even though the box set has a ton of content, I know I find myself not going to these box sets time and time again for all the bonus stuff.
So that’s my humble review and keep up the good work. I think this is one of the best channels out here

Good question! I have only listened to that one digitally and I found the different order a real benefit (I think the original tracklist is bizarre). Soundwise I can’t compare it because I haven’t got it on vinyl. What do you think?
I think welcome to the blackout is still his best live album! The energy is incredible and the sound is so crispy compared to stage. 2018 stage also have two less songs but it already is a huge improvement over the original stage album.
