I loved your debrief on wedding dress shopping!! I also felt the same way, I was SO anxious going into it. The concept of seeing myself naked and trying to fit into these dresses in front of a stranger stressed me out so bad, but it wasnt bad at all!!! The sample sizes were mostly 10/12 and it made me feel better because I was afraid nothing would fit me. Body dysmorphia is a funny thing. Also, when it comes to ordering your dress and taking measurements, it really depends on the style you pick! I picked an A line strapless dress (similar to Sydney's actually!) and I only needed measurements taken in the bust. Im more insecure about my hips/thighs which is why I steered away from fitted/mermaid, and honestly it was so good for me mentally. It sounds twisted but it's such a vulnerable thing!

I want dress shopping a few months back and was late to the game in wedding planning just cause I’m curvier and was so anxious about how I would look/ feel about my body image. Even though you know in the back of your head okay I’m this size in real life why am I a bigger size in dresses?? It’s discouraging, let alone having to try them on in front of family and friends!!! My can is 21 years old, and not as many miles as you, but it's having more things that need fixing to the point that it's not worth soaking more money into it, but I love it. It's not pretty, but it's going to make me said to have to get another car. As for the wedding dress shopping. You looked beautiful in all the dresses, but the first dress with the flowers just screamed that it was you and matched your sunny personality. Your body is beautiful just the way it is, and I'm glad that you're sharing such sound advice with all of us. 💕

SO SO glad you had a wonderful consultant! The lady we had when I was trying on my first round of dresses while my bridesmaids were trying on theirs, my hubby’s little sis just turned 13, and the consultant told her to not gain anymore weight before the wedding.
That is so horrible that young girl had to hear such a damaging statement about her beautiful body. This is why women have such bad body images that they deal with their whole life. I'm sure you and others reinforced that her body and her were beautiful no matter how much she weighs!
Does your car not have a key hole on your driver's door? You can unlock it that way lol and then hit the lock buttons from the inside to lock the entire car.

As a very plus sized Bride, I was TERRIFIED!!! But my consultant was amazing and she kept saying “we make the dress to fit you, not you to fit the dress” and it really made me feel like “no. You are beautiful how you are”. Yes I’m trying and SHOULD lose weight for my health and happiness, but if I’m not there by wedding day, that’s perfectly okay!
My OCD goes nuts when I pick my car up from getting it serviced, and my seat and steering wheel has been moved. I have them exactly where I'm comfortable, and then they mess it up!
Colostrum? So they are taking this from freshly postpartum cows? What is the purpose? Colostrum is very short term and for new borns. 1) we aren’t newborns 2) doesn’t seem very sustainable given colostrum is only produced for a very short period of time. Meaning these cows are being forced to deliver calves frequently in order to produce colostrum. Not hating on you I am genuinely just interested in why this is a thing and what benefits it could possibly have for an adult human.
