Thanks for that Kellogg's commercial with Woody Woodpecker. I remember that jingle, and it has stuck in my head for those years. Don't figure out my age. LOLOLOLOLOL.
I didn't remember either of those commercials. But I remembered 2 others 1 for Welch's grape 🍇 juice and the other for Welch's grape jelly and jam; feachering little Peables.
I'm old enough to remember when the original Mickey Mouse Club was on...but I guess there were many viewers, including us, who learned to spell Encyclopedia from Jiminy Cricket.
One of my favorite things in life still - singing ENCYCLOPEDIA!! Thank you, Jiminy Cricket and Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Club Show, for telling me about the reference books that I used on every report that I ever wrote in school. There was the basic, World Book, and the advanced, the Encyclopedia Britanica. And then the more obscure, like Collier's. And all of this knowledge was instantly available - after getting one of your parents to drive you to (and wait in) the not-so-nearby library where you could browse the card catalog for your topic, head to the reference book shelves , pull out the applicable heavy volume(s), take them back to your table, write one note per index card (don't drop the box!!! ), get the bibliography info, put the volume(s) back in the RIGHT place on the shelves, and repeat the process until closing time because you could NOT check out reference books and encyclopedias were generally too expensive for many families to buy for the house. I was lucky enough to win a set of Britanica in a spelling bee in 1967. They will always be with me.
I'm only 22 and I recognized all of the cartoon characters in this video. Great video! I would have liked to have seen a Tom and Jerry commercial in here too though
Weird, I never thought Inspector Clouseau appeared animated. Sure, there was "The Inspector" on the TV show, but I wasn't sure if he was the same character.
I didn't know that The Flintstones had a beer commercial. I know that they had commercials for Winston cigarettes and Welch's grape jam, jelly and juice after Pebbles came along and later on Flintstone Vitamins and Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles of course.
It was a preview of Busch's 1967 advertising campaign, shown ONLY to Busch's sales force and distributors at a special meeting in the fall of 1966. The body of the film featured several of their upcoming commercials {three TV ads, and one radio spot}.
Well, Kellogg's sponsored "THE WOODY WOODPECKER SHOW", "HUCKLEBERRY HOUND", "QUICK DRAW McGRAW" and "YOGI BEAR" in first-run syndication in the late 1950's and early 1960's. part of their arrangement was for the "stars" to appear in Kellogg's commercials, pitching various cereals {Woody specialized in Rice Krispies, Huck promoted Corn Flakes, Yogi also shilled for Corn Flakes {and his own OK's cereal}, and Quick Draw endorsed Sugar Smacks [and Rice Krispies on occasion]}. In the case of Bugs Bunny, General Foods [Post cereals, Tang] had previously sponsored his prime-time ABC show, and continued to use him to sell Kool-Aid through the 1960's.
Re the last ad: We're ALL mind readers? Why that's the most stereotypical male response. I emphatically deny the accusation! Signed, Jean Grey Xavier's Institute, NY. (;P)
It was a sales film {"1967 B.A. (Busch Advertising)"}, screened *ONLY* at a special meeting of the Busch sales force- and their distributors- in the fall of 1966. Several commercials for Busch Beer's 1967 ad campaign ["When you're due for a beer- BUSCH DOES IT!"] were previewed, and the "game plan" for promoting Busch to the average beer drinker in those ads were also discussed.
Jean wasn't available for that promotional film. Gerry Johnson doubled as "Betty" *and* "Wilma" {she did the same thing for a 1966 American Cancer Society PSA}.
I'm not into being politically correct, but the Flinstones ad is a little much. " What'll you do Barney if she finds out." " I'll kill myself Fred". Holy crap!
Thanks for that Kellogg's commercial with Woody Woodpecker. I remember that jingle, and it has stuck in my head for those years. Don't figure out my age. LOLOLOLOLOL.
So Fred Flintstone is a Shriner.
So Fred and Barney not only SMOKE, but DRINK. Great example for the kiddies!
I didn't remember either of those commercials. But I remembered 2 others 1 for Welch's grape 🍇 juice and the other for Welch's grape jelly and jam; feachering little Peables.
Welch's was a primary sponsor of the series from 1963 through 1966.
Jiminy Cricket taught me to spell Encyclopedia when I was about ten. My.mom used to watch reruns of The Mickey Mouse Club. I wouldwatch with her.
I'm old enough to remember when the original Mickey Mouse Club was on...but I guess there were many viewers, including us, who learned to spell Encyclopedia from Jiminy Cricket.
Love your videos,Fred. Most of them bring back memories.
12:28 Yogi & Boo Boo for Cancer Society, very rare. 10-01-22. Never seen this one.

Fred and Barney drinking anheuser busch beer ad usually it's cactus coola
I'm only 22 and I recognized all of the cartoon characters in this video. Great video! I would have liked to have seen a Tom and Jerry commercial in here too though
And I would like to find one!
I was a TV junkie as a kid (born in 1959), and I honestly don't remember Tom and Jerry in any commercial, outside of a CBS promo for their show.
Hey kids DON'T drink the Kool Aid.
Another great one, Fred! I have about 2 more in the month of May Fred. Loved the Bullwinkle one and the Flintstone one. Two of my favorites!
Good job big bro! I love the classic cartoons!
Thanks, Curtis. Have a good Memorial Day.
FredFlix You're welcome Fred and you and your family enjoy the holiday too!
Does anyone besides me remember the Flintstones doing at least two Welch's commercials?
Weird, I never thought Inspector Clouseau appeared animated. Sure, there was "The Inspector" on the TV show, but I wasn't sure if he was the same character.
Love your videos thanks for bringing back happy memories 😊
Lol Fred and Barney drinking beer that might be my first time to see that lol
I didn't know that The Flintstones had a beer commercial. I know that they had commercials for Winston cigarettes and Welch's grape jam, jelly and juice after Pebbles came along and later on Flintstone Vitamins and Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles of course.
Just saw this. That Flintstones beer thing was an industrial film and not a TV commercial.
This was shown to the Employees at Busch only..it was a teaching film for them only and never shown on TV.
Technically, this was a production film for Busch Bavarian Beer. Fred and
Barney never shilled beer during their run on "The Flintstones".
It was a preview of Busch's 1967 advertising campaign, shown ONLY to Busch's sales force and distributors at a special meeting in the fall of 1966. The body of the film featured several of their upcoming commercials {three TV ads, and one radio spot}.
Thank You!!! I thought I was the only one that remembered those commercials.
Cartoons that are drawn !! I know it shows my age, but I prefer these over any computer generated animation that is served up today.
I guess you are older than I am, because I like them that way, too.
before we had the internet, we had encyclopedias at our disposal
6:13 Ah yes, classic DePatie-Freleng animated Pink Panther and the Inspector for Owens-Corning Fiberglass insulation. :)
Voiced by the Late Peter Sellers!
The later done by Richard Williams.
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing these classics. 🍻
My pleasure, funzjag.
31 days of FredFlix...lets just have a Summer of Fred!...Thanks
I could almost pull it off, Jan. I think I have about 50 videos just waiting to be uploaded. But I don't want to over-saturate the "market."
"Make friends with Kool-Aid." No thanks, Bugs. Not after what happened in Jonestown. (Although it could've been Flavor-Aid, a knock-off brand)
Bugs also did two with the Monkees too.
Fred drinking then driving. Then no seatbelts. Then having another round at Freds . Lol
All through the courtesy of Fred's two feet.
How many beers did they have?
@@FredFlix there was two parts you only have 1\2 of it the other half has them owning the bar and Mr.Slate having a Busch Beer.
@@mrmjb1960 It was more like a half hour. I wanted to show a highlight.
Can so tell it is Tim Matheson as Johnny Quest.
Wish boomerang still played these cartoons daily again
another great job, Fred!
So they can literally just ask any company they want for their characters to be in commercials? How do they convince them?
@@fromthesidelines Speaking of encyclopedic knowledge. . . Barry, you never cease to astound me. I've been following your comments for years.
1960s i seen this i wad a kid back in the day
All your problems just go away when you drink a Busch beer! LOL
1960s back in the day
Hokey Wolf, Where is Doggy Daddy?
On "QUICK DRAW McGRAW". Hokey was featured on "HUCKLEBERY HOUND" (as Yogi's replacement, after he got his own program).
Thanks 4 doing this.
You'e welcome.
You need to do one of Saturday morning cartoon promos and bumpers from 60's and 70's.
Love this💚💛💜
Thanks, Tip Tig.

SNAP CRACKLE POP
Kellogg's sponsored "THE WOODY WOODPECKER SHOW" [primarily for Rice Krispies] in syndication for years.
Was the Flintstones drinking beer part of an episode of the show? Seemed awfully long for a commercial.
No, it was a house promo reel for Busch Beer.
Thanks for letting me know👍
It was a sales film {"1967 B.A. (Busch Advertising)"}, screened *ONLY* at a special meeting of the Busch sales force- and their distributors- in the fall of 1966. That did not sound like Jean Vanderphyl
Jean wasn't available for that promotional film. Gerry Johnson doubled as "Betty" *and* "Wilma" {she did the same thing for a 1966 American Cancer Society PSA}.

FredFlix, let's have a couple of Busch beers, drive home, lie to our wives, and then pound down a couple more. Ahhh, the good old days. 😄
@@gregggoss2210 And smoke a few Winstons! They taste good, "like a cigarette should".

The Hanna-Barbara commercials have better animation then the cartoons.
