Something our MOUT training lacks is the unexpected chaos of wreck shit all around you and dangers. Tons of hide holes can be utilized in this terrain vs the neatly clean/empty MOUT buildings.
Sometimes in an offensive, a controlled barrage of artillery and ordnance is used ahead of time to intentionally destroy the surrounding because it creates hiding and cover. Same can be done for defensive ops if a line needs to be held tightly.

The vehicle was a US Army MRAP that shot down the drone. We started getting them when they phased the Humvee's out. We used the Stryker more in Iraq but they started using them then.
Brutal combat, and RIP to all soldiers on either side. I hope this video and other similarly intense footage serve as a warning to the world....we can only hope so. God be with us all
they probably have long range drone surveillance centered on any sort of tank or AFV/APC at least a few miles out from the border, those things are noisy, hot and way too big to hide. I'm sure the constant threat of a Russian sniper sitting around the same range inspecting your eyebrow plucking skills through a medium range scope weighs much more heavily on their minds
Because the product is you. This is a way for us army to recruit. Making the war looks cool , where you could instead get a 6figure job in Los Angeles , you would become an army and loose your life. Your health or 10y of your time not building wealth or skills.

@@ChimuFCLG no you’re right. Ukraine uses Azov for all their propaganda. They’re well trained and well funded. But in terms of standard ground troops, this is absolutely happening. We just don’t hear about it. Many Russian conscripts are criminals, or people seeking citizenship in Russia. They don’t need to forcibly recruit en masse.
@@AAWWorldChampionship of course, any nation fighting a war for its own survival is going to make a draft. Also, most of the recruits that you see in the ukrainian army aren't younger than 28 or so, so It seems like they aren't at the point to start makings a full draft. Also, im surprised to see all regular infantry units in the ukrainian side relatively better equiped, in Telegram i've seen a lot of videos of russian troops using steel helmets or chest rigs without armour.
@@ChimuFCLG Sure. But they simply throw you in jail if you refuse or resist. The SBU will simply eliminate you, for desertion or otherwise. I don't care about equipment. We had tons of equipment in Afghanistan, and we pulled out of there with our tail between our legs. You can equip a greenhorn with quad nods and UGL's out the wazoo, it doesn't mean he can beat less equipped but better trained/more advantageous soldiers. I don't think Russia uses their best equipment on conscripts. I also think there's a lot of Soviet surplus being used, because why wouldn't you use it? We act like Russia is incompetent, and then shake in fear over them taking over Eastern Europe. It's silly.
Those lads are pretty fit, and recover fast. It’s just a slog when you aren’t eating right, getting cold interrupted sleep, pulling watch, performing non combat jobs.. They are in pretty good condition.
If you've been to Ukraine like I have, I went there twice 2009 and 2011, right before all the wars, it's a shock to see this happening. Never thought relations with Russia would result in this. Seeing the scenery, it seems like a memory of the past, the way a city used to be, and seeing it now in a war scarred landscape it's depressing and sorrowful. Ukraine had a lot of promise as a nation right before the war, now it's becoming just another Syria.
Well, it's not because of bad relations with Russia, it's becauce the West overthrew the legitimate power in Ukraine in a coup of 2013, and then the Ukrainian nazis that came then to power started to genocide Russian speaking people of the Eastern Ukraine.
@@DS-lk3tx the US government kind of bought them out since the end of the Cold War 1991. I remember when I went there and met a American expat retiree and he told me Ukraine was sold to America after the Soviet breakup.

U.S. soldiers commenting on these sorts of battles is silly. They are not experts. Most of them have never seen combat like this. The number of close-contact engagements like the scale we see in Ukraine were almost non existent in Afghanistan and Iraq. Check the DOD data sheets. Currently working on an independent film trying to bring it mainstream. I’ve won 3 awards for it so far and basically when I was in Afghanistan, I had a GoPro on my helmet. We got blown up and an Afghan took my GoPro only for me to recover it a year later so you see the duality of man, right? You see us and our operations. I was special forces so it’s a lot of sneaking up on the enemy at night and you see bare handed kills by me and some teammates. After my GoPro gets taken it’s this insurgent that was walking around with it talking to the camera like he was a damn RUclipsr. Showing his family. Playing with his sons and you barely see any combat footage on his side. He shows apaches and A10’s flying over but that’s really it. Then he has the camera on when we invade his village and it ends with my master sergeant saying “Ostrom, is this your GoPro? And he bends over and picks it up and reads my name off. It shows a ton tho. Buddies dying, shows us pinned down and making jokes, a good buddy of mine playing guitar and singing. The OG Zach Bryan btw. I'm from Avdiivka. The war began for us in 2014. After a few months of occupation, I left everything and fled with my child, as it turned out, forever. We traveled at our own risk along a road through a field that might have already been mined. It was the only way out, as occupiers were at all the city exits. In 2022, the war struck my parents and relatives again. My parents' apartment burned down, and then a shell hit. My grandmother's apartment was directly hit, and my aunt's apartment also burned. It's a pity that all the photos were destroyed. Those memories will remain only in my mind. I tried to watch the video a few times. It was very difficult to do. My hearts beating 100 miles an hour, just that excruciating groping time after you make contact but can’t really pin them down and every movement is dangerous until you can get an idea of where exactly their positions are.
Makes me feel kinda grossed out to know people are watching this as entertainment. We watch war footage now like it's a video game channel, there's a detachment...or worse, people know and accept it as real but don't care, or they only care for it as a form of entertainment they consume and then watch something else without giving it another thought. Even the soldiers are uploading, editing it with music etc, modern life, nothing feels real anymore.
some of us do have extremely dark and morbid interests and enjoy (in a weird way) reading and watching stuff about the true depravity humans are capable of. in my case, tho it's not war, i've dealt with people try to kill me many times before. but if anything, it just furthered my interest in both weaponry, combat, and the human mind all three. in fact, of each of the ways people tried killing me, i read up prior on exactly how i would die had someone tried it against me out of pure curiosity, and ironically that same morbid knowledge that helped me avoid even potential hospital trips, despite only being like 9-11 at the time. while hopefully i'm not in a wartime situation, it still scratches that dark, morbid itch. also: if they're adding music, that's just typical surreal humor being used as a coping mechanism. i make light of the abuse i endured at elementary school largely for similar reasons. it's a horrific situation, but you got two options: soften the blow by joking about it, or let it consume you to the point you in a psychotic episode put your body on track to an early exit from the war via a closed casket.
You could say "people don't care", but if you did care what would you actually do about it? The core function of a government is to engage in violence and this is one aspect of that violence. Diplomacy failed, violence was chosen - tale as old as time. The only thing you can do is hope that you won't be forcefully put in the shoes of these men, assuming you don't like what you see. Interest in watching such things is inherent to humans, because it helps us assess the risks of potential conduct without actually engaging in said conduct. Learning about new things you don't want to try yourself is entertaining indeed... but also helpful for your future survival.
Grim content keeps you alive. If you drive a car but never watched people wrecking and dying in their cars on liveleak, you are a crap driver, guaranteed.
These losers had their asses kicked. in fact they ran away from REALLY well-fortified positions among the first when Russians started to REALLY assault it. Took Russians 1-2 weeks to sweep the city after first entering it. Azov is a bunch of cowards that only know how to kill those that can't really fight back. They never stay and fight. They proved that in Mariupol and in Avdeevka. They are NEVER at the LOC, and it's easy to see why. Same goes for their buddies, the Kraken.
Puedes poner videos del lado ruso.. Sus tacticas de combate de no bombardear civiles y no masacrar inocentes y no dejar paises destruidos y abandonados como lo hace EEUU. Es muy interesante...

If you've been to Ukraine like I have, I went there twice 2009 and 2011, right before all the wars, it's a shock to see this happening. Never thought relations with Russia would result in this. Seeing the scenery, it seems like a memory of the past, the way a city used to be, and seeing it now in a war scarred landscape it's depressing and sorrowful. Ukraine had a lot of promise as a nation right before the war, now it's becoming just another Syria.
and all because of an arrogant self-righteous tyrant running a neighboring country
Well, it's not because of bad relations with Russia, it's becauce the West overthrew the legitimate power in Ukraine in a coup of 2013, and then the Ukrainian nazis that came then to power started to genocide Russian speaking people of the Eastern Ukraine.

Ever heard of best gore? People would watch the most grosteque stuff you could possibly think of as entertainment.
Yeah you just detach yourself from it and just take it as a game
Grim content keeps you alive.
If you drive a car but never watched people wrecking and dying in their cars on liveleak, you are a crap driver, guaranteed.
