Those limited editions candles are only making candles for the resellers to capitalize on. Between Resellers and the greedy, the rest of us don’t have a chance. Btw, I was able to snag them both, but it is still a mess.
I agree! I saw a lady on FB posted a picture… she had 23 PB&J candles…. and I believe 12 of the Limoncello… It’s just outrageous.

I once saw in a grocery store a penny bubblegum dispenser and the flavors were Watermelon (pink) and Lemon (yellow) gumballs.
I think that B&BW is doing limited releases to drive traffic in-store and online. 🍋💛

I really am enjoying Limoncello & Unicorn Sprinkles. I do like PB&J Ice Cream, just not quite as much. I have been craving lemon scents recently though, so it could just be me and my current scent mood. ☺️🍋
I totally agree with you. I have had to pay quadruple the price to get limited edition candles because I live in a very isolated area. It’s really ridiculous what bath and Bodyworks does. I have cut down on my purchases from them because of this.
Totally agree with you about those limited editions drops. It’s an odd choice for BBW to make. I understand that they like to drum up some attention with their marketing… but people online were pretty vocal about how upset they were not being able to get them. Also… ultimately they could have sold waaayyy more candles if they had produced more.. and isn’t that the whole point? 🤷 And FURTHER more people are dying for more bake-shop type product.. they finally give us (sorta) some.. and it’s THIS shenanigans. My store still had bacon candles weeks after sas 🤣 i got one a bit back because i had to have a bacon candle. I do think scalpers have the right to do what they do, i don't know how you could reasonably stop this entirely without a fairly despotic enforcement model. BUT I absolutely hate them and i think they ruin collector markets. I agree with your answer, Bonnie, companies should just produce enough stock to meet demand instead of artificially limiting it to hype it up. I think as a culture we ought to be not-so-accepting of companies engaging in manipulative behaviors like this, and completely ignore resellers who sell at a massive markup.

honestly i’m so glad im a fanatic for body care & not candles. that’s even more stressful! BBW plays too much & my overwhelming FOMO wouldn’t be able to handle it… nor my bank account for that matter🤣

I agree with you 💯 about the candle drop. They should have made them available longer like the Black History Collection, which was also a limited edition. A lot of people are disenchanted with BBW's marketing practices.
They sold out in two hours on line, but I got mine the next night when they returned.

The throw on mine is strong and I'm loving this scent it's sugary and yummy lol.
I think that BBW needs to offer these limited edition candles to their VIP loyals and limit it to 2 candles before releasing them to the general public and again limiting it to 2 candles in a month on limited editions. It won't stop the truly dedicated resellers but it would at least slow them down and make it harder for them to buy out all of the stock before their loyals get a chance to purchase one. They could offer a one time only code to make it easy. Granted you can open multiple accounts but the shipping would also make it less lucrative given these are usually online only.
So frustrating when you order it & then receive an email canceling it.
I messaged someone on Mercari and asked them how they sleep at night buying up all the limited edition candles for $9.70 and selling them for $70. They must really need the money if they are doing that..😂
They may not be getting the 70 dollars for it though. I can't imagine they would get that kind of money for a candle. The ones Homeworx sales for that price point are huge. I don't believe they make that from many candles.

I got 4 of the lemon/unicorn. 2 for me and one for each of my daughter' Easter basket. The PBandJ sounds gross to me.
Mine was strong and could only smell bubblegum...returned it. 😞

There's also fresh Amalfi lemon that just came out.. why in the world did we need another straight lemon candle? Again..
Why don't they give us a pistachio candle or something gourmand.. something they know will sell like hot cakes.
They're the ones not selling as much product by releasing these basic scents over and over again !
At least I'll say limoncello+sprinkles doesn't smell hugely lemony to me. Smells just like bubble gum!
