You don't need an excuse as to why you shop. You're grown. It's your life, your money, your decision... if you wanna go on a no-buy period - we respect it. If you wanna go on an all out period - we respect it. (And let's be honest, we love it)... If you wanna just buy here & there when ya see something you fancy, hey that's cool too! It's all good! Ps: i'm so disappointed in the candle day list. Berry spritzer I'm STOKED for bc I been wanting that for two years!! (Ever since i found out it was the same scent as the beloved Love Spell!!) And hot buttered rum. Those are the only two - at least from the Candle Day list that was released - that I want to get my hands on. But I guess that's a good thing, then I can just grab the holiday ones I already have on my prior shopping list. 🤷🏻 and whyyyyyy all the constant repackages! Tired of champagne toast, and all that other "same scents we see all year every year" crap. 🙄

@@TheCandleChannel Listen, you have made yourself very clear, in several videos, about compulsive shopping, "collector's" mindset, the effects of social media, buying just for the sake of collecting, the impact excess shopping / collecting / hoarding can, and at a certain point does, have on your mental health. I admire your urgency in letting people know to be aware and recognize when something you love isn't healthy or affecting your life in a positive way! It's SO important! I think those who are true loyal followers especially, truly are influenced by your ability to recognize those things. And i think we all admire it. Many, I would even venture to say MOST people can not take time off social media! Many can not take time away from their collecting or shopping habits. When people you love talk about these things, and you see them putting these things into practice in their own life, it really makes you stop and think. So don't think for one second that if you start shopping again (and decide to share), that you've contradicted yourself, or become a hypocrite, aren't "peacticing what you preach", or feel like you'll seem dishonest or to have "fallen off the wagon" so to speak. None of us are perfect all the time, nor should we expect ourselves to be! After 7 years in active addiction and 5 years of sobriety, I have learned this!! I always want to do EVERYTHING well to make up for all the wrong I've done throughout my addiction, and honestly that's just not realistic! Just like people who strive for a healthy lifestyle still indulge in unhealthy foods sometimes, or take days off from working out when they aren't feelin' it. That's real life! You've set a really great example already! Be proud of that.

Oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! It's so authentically sweet and sugary. It's definitely no where near as strong as my Balsam & Cedar. Kind of light in a bedroom, but it's so darn pleasant, that I honestly don't mind.
Yankee candle has HANDS DOWN the best Authentic fragrances of any company!! Like me you’re always still rooting for Yankee. You Need to try the ELEVATION COLLECTION, those too perform fabulously . LOVE BALSAM & CEDAR!! I have it in a medium jar and I can smell it. Interested in these 3 wicks. I’ve ALMOST bought them. Can’t wait to hear ur thoughts!! North Pole is definitely a good one!! It’s SO SWEET. I also Enjoy Jack Frost but that’s more of you’re sinus clearing peppermint like Twisted peppermint. I NEED a North Pole in my collection haven’t had one in a few years.

Tell me about it! Hot Buttered Rum always turns into this burnt crayon smell to me and I can't stomach it at that point. If you enjoy their Salted Butterscotch type of fragrances, you'll enjoy it.

I came SO close to ordering that TIB when it was still online (gorgeous packaging) but then I remembered how many coconut candles I already have! AH......sweet memories of your "freesia-vomity-pear-sidewalk-hairspray" vid! I need to go watch it again. OMG I love your line "ya know how candle companies love to put out good product & then F it up for no good reason?" TRUTH! I WOULD do CD if they bring back PPTC, Blackberry Bramble Tea, and/or Butter Rum Eggnog. I grabbed a few from Mercari. I actually grabbed TROPICAL ISLAND BLISS online and I like it, it’s not bad. I also picked up a 5 pack of The Blueberry Crumble pocketbac online too bc I LOVE Blueberry Pie fragrances , I DONT CARE FOR IT 😕 smells like my hands have food on them like I was just eating pie or something it’s weird. I am excited for that Pomegranate lemonade I never tried it and I keep putting it in and out of my cart online. Brazilian Bum Bum smells more ooey gooey caramel-infused to me. It has a more gourmand twist that this doesn't. This is strictly tropical fruit/coconut blend.
My gut says there will be a surprise online exclusive collection as you suggested. Based on the 🥱collections you listed I won't be going in store. Lord knows I have enough candles already to burn until I die. But I'll still wake up at 5:45am and then wait for my order to be cancelled 😒

The Balsam & Cedar was open-concept-filling! Stronger than my recent HomeWorx, that's for sure. The North Pole was much lighter but still so delicious.
Looking forward to hearing your reviews on the 3 wick Yankee Candle after burn. I was Yankee obsessed, until I could no longer take the weak fragrance and lack of fragrance throw.
I am looking forward to your reviews of those Yankee Candle 3-wicks! I always want to try Yankee scents but they are so hit or miss (mostly miss) that it's hard, especially since I pretty much only shop online for candles now. As much as I love BBW I am kind of getting sick of their same old fragrances and hit or miss quality. There are a few Yankee candles scents that I really enjoy like Silver Birch and Alfresco Afternoon, and they have a decent throw but not enough to give me a headache.
The Balsam & Cedar has been strong so far. Really enjoying it. Can't wait to burn them more to see how they do. And yes to being sick of the same-old with BBW! I am completely exhausted on the repackages. There's nothing new to review anymore, and if it is new, it's super underwhelming. They are fortunate that they have a constant flood of new fans who don't care about repackages.
I got the Jingle all the Way North Pole and Sparkling Cinnamon 3 wicks from Yankee... I had North Pole going for several hours last night- zero throw! I just lit the cinnamon... I don’t know why I keep buying from them, always a disappointment at least it was BOGO 😂 .Hoping maybe as it goes, I get some scent. Have you burnt these yet?
I liked that Cinnamon Rum Raisin from that Nordic looking collection now that you’ve mentioned it. I’m pretty sure I got everything in that collection and they were all good. There was also a black one. Do you remember what that was called? It was a vanilla heavy scent. PPTC is the only one that ever came back. There was not one single fragrance for Candle Day that got me excited for the event. I hope you’re right and they’re holding some surprises close to the vest. I hope the YCs perform as well as the last ones you got. Balsam and Cedar did fairly in a 2 wick for me a couple of years ago. North Pole was always light but a lovely fragrance. They have such a great scent library with some really beautiful complex scents.
Yes, that collection was surprisingly good! PPTC totally overshadowed all of it. The black one was NOOK No Place Like Home. That was that super controversial candle that got allegedly pulled from the shelves because it was so close to the design of the original Skandinavisk candle that it was "inspired" from. The Balsam & Cedar 3-wick was quite strong. Filled an entire large open-concept area. And yes, North Pole is beautiful but much weaker. It's so pleasant I don't mind it though!

I’m ordering on line I feel COVID will make candle day more hectic and a all day process. Them 20 ppl (allowed) can spend 45mins to a hr in the store so that mean we may be in line forever waiting to go in

I believe White Woods was one of those cashmere/vanilla perfume-y type fragrances, and not at all like our beloved woodsy/smokey Winter White Woods fragrance!
It kind of is! Just a tad less on that slight warm buttery base that PSC has, but it has a brighter sugary sweet confectionary vanilla that is gorgeous. While I'm really enjoying the Yankee, it's kind of light, so probably would still recommend PSC over it because it's much stronger.
Hopefully they’re planning to surprise us with something better that’s already been announced. So far, the offerings are a yawn. Thank you for this video keeping us up to date.
I think it's because people stock up on candles during December with the intention of using them all year around, so they have to provide universal non-holiday scents. That, and I think they have a ton of leftover stock from the quarantine period that was spring/summer.
@@TheCandleChannel I've always love the musky/cologne smells so it's right up my alley. I can understand why some don't like it, I'm not a fan of floral or fruity fragrance so I'll leave those to everyone else to grab

I was told by my store that is the candles they had last spring when all the stores were closed due to covid.

I am looking forward to your reviews of those Yankee Candle 3-wicks! I always want to try Yankee scents but they are so hit or miss (mostly miss) that it's hard, especially since I pretty much only shop online for candles now. As much as I love BBW I am kind of getting sick of their same old fragrances and hit or miss quality. There are a few Yankee candles scents that I really enjoy like Silver Birch and Alfresco Afternoon, and they have a decent throw but not enough to give me a headache.
The Balsam & Cedar has been strong so far. Really enjoying it. Can't wait to burn them more to see how they do. And yes to being sick of the same-old with BBW! I am completely exhausted on the repackages. There's nothing new to review anymore, and if it is new, it's super underwhelming. They are fortunate that they have a constant flood of new fans who don't care about repackages.
I got the Jingle all the Way North Pole and Sparkling Cinnamon 3 wicks from Yankee... I had North Pole going for several hours last night- zero throw! I just lit the cinnamon... I don’t know why I keep buying from them, always a disappointment at least it was BOGO 😂

I liked that Cinnamon Rum Raisin from that Nordic looking collection now that you’ve mentioned it. I’m pretty sure I got everything in that collection and they were all good. There was also a black one. Do you remember what that was called? It was a vanilla heavy scent. PPTC is the only one that ever came back.
There was not one single fragrance for Candle Day that got me excited for the event. I hope you’re right and they’re holding some surprises close to the vest.
I hope the YCs perform as well as the last ones you got. Balsam and Cedar did fairly in a 2 wick for me a couple of years ago. North Pole was always light but a lovely fragrance. They have such a great scent library with some really beautiful complex scents.
Yes, that collection was surprisingly good! PPTC totally overshadowed all of it. The black one was NOOK No Place Like Home. That was that super controversial candle that got allegedly pulled from the shelves because it was so close to the design of the original Skandinavisk candle that it was "inspired" from. The Balsam & Cedar 3-wick was quite strong. Filled an entire large open-concept area. And yes, North Pole is beautiful but much weaker. It's so pleasant I don't mind it though!

I’m ordering on line I feel COVID will make candle day more hectic and a all day process. Them 20 ppl (allowed) can spend 45mins to a hr in the store so that mean we may be in line forever waiting to go in

Listen, you have made yourself very clear, in several videos, about compulsive shopping; "collector's" mindset; the effects of social media; buying just for the sake of collecting; the impact excess shopping / collecting / hoarding can, and at a certain point does, have on your mental health. I admire your urgency in letting people know to be aware and recognize when something you love isn't healthy or affecting your life in a positive way! It's SO important!
I think those who are true loyal followers especially, truly are influenced by your ability to recognize those things. And i think we all admire it. Many, I would even venture to say MOST people can not take time off social media! Many can not take time away from their collecting or shopping habits. When people you love talk about these things, and you see them putting these things into practice in their own life, it really makes you stop and think.
So don't think for one second that if you start shopping again (and decide to share), that you've contradicted yourself, or become a hypocrite, aren't "peacticing what you preach", or feel like you'll seem dishonest or to have "fallen off the wagon" so to speak.
None of us are perfect all the time, nor should we expect ourselves to be! After 7 years in active addiction and 5 years of sobriety, I have learned this!! I always want to do EVERYTHING well to make up for all the wrong I've done throughout my addiction, and honestly that's just not realistic! Just like people who strive for a healthy lifestyle still indulge in unhealthy foods sometimes, or take days off from working out when they aren't feelin' it. That's real life! You've set a really great example already! Be proud of that.

I believe White Woods was one of those cashmere/vanilla perfume-y type fragrances, and not at all like our beloved woodsy/smokey Winter White Woods fragrance!

Is Jingle All The Way similar to B&BW Peppermint Sugar Cookie? I'm burning the latter right now and its delicious. Similar to Thin Mints.
It kind of is! Just a tad less on that slight warm buttery base that PSC has, but it has a brighter sugary sweet confectionary vanilla that is gorgeous. While I'm really enjoying the Yankee, it's kind of light, so probably would still recommend PSC over it because it's much stronger.

It seems to like spring/summer smells..instead of wintery smells...
I think it's because people stock up on candles during December with the intention of using them all year around, so they have to provide universal non-holiday scents. That, and I think they have a ton of leftover stock from the quarantine period that was spring/summer.
I do love the party dress candle and will be stocking up on that if they bring it back but everything else is meh 😐
