The ThinkOBD 100 is an excellent and affordable scanner for under $30. The scanner can almost as much as a professional scan tool at a fraction of the cost. As well this OBD II scanner does not require any batteries as well. Any powered the scanner requires comes from the OBD II cable one the scanner is connected to the car.
In addition the ThinkOBD 100 also comes with a USB cable to download future updates and any updates for the ThinkOBD 100 are FREE as well.
It's a very nice tool that anyone who owns a car made after 2000 needs to have for any and all DIY automotive maintenance.....

I picked up one of those about a year ago, and I was very impressed with it.
I threw it in my glove box and use it to point my neighbors and friends in the right diagnostic direction all the time. I especially like the live stream data for fuel trims. For 30 bucks, I think it's a hell of a deal.

Great Review. I have an older scan tool that does essentially the same thing but I paid around $100 for it. I agree this scan tool is worth the $30 just to have in your vehicle.

the USB cable in my unit is not a new style "C" but a way older style kind of squarish plug, and it does fit on the end middle with red trim around it says, UPGRADE. Nothing in quick start paper about it, imagine website sells future software, so if yours is a C type they put wrong one in at factory.

Perfect for me, Thanks. I bookmarked this purely for the description on the acronyms you laid out fully when talking about the displayed data! i.e I see ECT on the display? Eerrr What??? then you said Engine Coolant Temperature.. Only one comment though.. Look up tool you say not necessary if you can google it?. what is better than having it in the device?
