      @stalker7028 4 месяца назад +2

      Yes it will, just like chris wood and townsend. But we have to endure it until time comes that we wont have to sell anyone to comply with PSR

      No it won’t, Anderson was never going to start next year, and minteh also would never start for at least 3 years, very good business

    The best solution for PSR would be to never have bought Tonali.. 58m i reckon be enough to keep Anderson and Minteh. What has the Tonali buy given us in the last season?

  • @philarma9194
    @philarma9194 4 месяца назад +3

    Like Ken said, Minteh looked a class player, yeah, good money, but he's going to be a nightmare for other teams to play against.
    I really want to see what's going to happen, if anything to Man City

    • @TynoAbielTheToon
      @TynoAbielTheToon  4 месяца назад +2

      Imagine Wood scored a hat trick against us that time. With the crazy potential of Minteh, hope he only shows up against other teams and not us😂 I'm keeping my fingers crossed

      That is so true. I could see Minteh haunt and torment us. He's young too, so it could very well be many seasons more.
      He really could have been Newcastle’s own RW for years to come. The very own area we need to build on. But now we have to spend maybe 60-80m instead to get someone that could cause opponent problems or beat 1 vs 1s. Or get an Elanga have just been ’ok’ for MU and Forest. If he cost 15m to Newcastle, sure, thats an affordable value for squad player. I also believe Eddie Howe can improve our players. But in Minteh i believe his ceiling is significantly higher
      All i keep hearing now is how people reframe what happened as "look at it this way, we got 33m without him kicking a ball for the club, he could have sucked and worth less than that"
      These are just excuses or rationalization to cover the real issue here. I have not seen a single person ask question why or how the people who manage the spending got into this situation? We basically sold players in a position of weakness and desperation. No because its PSR’s fault!

      Last season i would have been excited for Chiesa of Juve but his ability and performance isn't as high now. That could bring some value in his asking price. I believe that is one of the realistic market Newcastle have to look at though. Because as sad and reluctant to say, i honestly do not think a high performing RW (ie Olise, Nico Williams) will join Newcastle without CL competition. It's just the facts no matter how painful it is.
      However i digress. Maybe for Chiesa its a Juve and coach issue, and Eddie Howe could be different and more positive. That's where the value could come in. Only problem is i am not certain what is his general fitness and injury prone levels are now

    I hope Newcastle supporters stop blaming PSR and think clearly again. Realize that this happened because of poor planning with spending or overspending that is. PSR is not perfect, but this specifically happened not because of PSR. This is the critical distinction supporters need to make
