Correction.. They are “one” of the most technical bands in existence. I love Archspire but saying there the most technical in existence is not true. It’s music, not a competition. Don’t forget about: Origin Cryptopsy Rings of Saturn Beneath The Massacre Gorguts Berried Alive Nile Basically there are many great technical bands with different styles. I’m 40 years old and have been playing Guitar and Drums for 25+ years. I mainly play Tech Death so I know the technicality involved with Archspire and yes they are Freaking Excellent. EXTREMELY TALENTED and I have mad respect for them but to say they are the most technical in existence? No. When you think your the best or someone else is the best at something there is always people out there who can match it or exceed it.
So being at the top of tech metal game grants you travel style just half star over hobo standards. Those DTB clips with my favourite bands are soul crushing.
The fact these dudes can play live like they can, while living like absolute fucking shit like this, is a testament to how good they actually fucking are.
One of the best metal bands on the planet and they're traveling like this.. Hurts to see this as a fan, but this is reality. Keep supporting your favorite bands, dudes!!
And mainstream crap bands full of money... This world is a complete mess filled with people that doesnt apreciate musicianship... Just good sounding crap.

i love "real" videos like this because they kill any idea i might have had of being in a touring band, which is a good thing in case you fetishize that lifestyle. my biggest problem would be the inability to sleep in a moving van, bundled together with another dude in a highly cramped space.
So what if it isn't 5 star accommodation. it's like a campout holiday with your bros playing your favourite music together to people all over. Spent a lot worse nights camping in the wilderness.
Seeing them having a good time or doing as good as possible and literally only their passion for the great music they create being the fine thread to deal with all these complications makes me wanna rebuy all albums and merch I already got. Tons of respect guys. Can't wait to see them live again, just saw them in Vienna!!

I support these dudes any way I can. They fucking deserve it and more. Obviously they dont tour for the comfort, money, or fame, they do it because their music is amazingly tight, extreme and they need to share it with whoever wants to hear it. Ive seen them multiple times and they deliver the goods every time. Im glad they can embrace the gnarlyness of being on the road cramped up together stroking it in the woods. Yea, I would keep everything clean... garbage bags, hand-vacuum cleaner and swipes. I psychologically can't stand chaos, I'd be either loved by the band I'm in or hated for it.... Not like crazily clean, but very much clean. My sheets are always folded and I'm proud :D

I'm really glad this video exists because soooo many people do not even begin to realize just how dirty, gritty, janky, and scuffed it is for even signed bands to be on tour. Until you get to the point where you're absolutely massive, bands simply do not make very much money and people think that once you get signed it means you've "made it" and you're big chillin financially
