I got to see it in theaters a few years back when it was in limited re-release. It was like watching a brand new movie compared to the countless times I've seen it on TV. Just the beginning sequence alone with the boulder was spectacular on a big screen.
I realize this is an old comment, but you do realize that the movies - while filmed in the 80s - were set in the 30s/40s, right? It might not change your opinion, but I would think if you truly buy into the magic of movies, you would be attracted to life in the 30s or 40s. Just a thought
God I love these movies so much. I was 13 when I saw them for the first time and I fell in love immediatly. Now I'm 23 and they're still my favorite movies ever. They have everything : story, music, characters, dialogs, and this overall feeling of magic and adventure that can hardly be found nowadays. Amazing, timeless cinema.

You hear a single tone of this song and you automatically know what it is. It's such an iconic song and for those that don't know this, well, you just missed out.
One time I was in a Halloween store about 3 years ago, I asked the worker there if they had any Indiana Jones whips or hats there because that was my costume that year. Th e kid looked at me dead in the eyes and in all seriousness said “Whos Indiana Jones?” I left the store a more broken man than when I went in. Kids need to be introduced to these movies, the can’t die out.

Legend of a theme when it first came out. Decided to watch the first film on Halloween again, and what a throwback. Honestly, for a movie made in the 1980s, it was done really good especially with the limited tech they had. Top tier soundtrack, storyline, and honestly the best Indiana Jones movie out of the whole series. Indie basically has a story arc going from ruthless plunderer to starting to realize these things have a power of their own and not ever actually getting any of the artifacts he pursues, save for the Cross of Coronado.

My grandpa told me as a kid he loved all of the Indiana Jones movies in the theaters me and my grandpa saw kingdom of the crystal skull together in theaters that was the last movie I ever seen with him since he passed away these movies came a big part of my life he would of loved dial of destiny
