I saw another review recording the microphone but it sounded significantly better than what he showed. I'm wondering if he was recording from his phone and not from a computer. I'm guessing the extra bandwidth using the 2.4 GHz dongle would allowed for less compression and better quality.
thank you for the informative video. how is the ANC performance against the best on the market? when the ANC is on, does it affect the music/sound quality?
Appreciate the review, but some type of latency coverage over 2.4 and/or BT would have been nice, since its whole identity is around gaming. I understand 2.4ghz connections are generally no/low latency, but still possible for it to not be the case here.

If u want some good cheap gaming TWS earbuds I recommend the Tozo G1 ($ 20-$30) or the Soundpeats CyberGear ($50). They are bluetooth and do not require a dongle. It works with the Nintendo switch, cellphones, and gaming PC. Both have a gaming mode and there is zero audio latency (45ms). Both last about 5 hours on gaming mode.
@@CEONTHEMAKING this is dependent if you are using a phone or pc laptop. if you connect bluetooth for PC gaming, the audio will change to mono since one channel channel is reserved for sound (mono) while the other is for voice mic.
Anyone who already have it, how is the felling when you are speaking ? I am intending to use it for teams meeting and the in ears that i have kinda gives a strange sensation when I am speaking and my jaw is moving. Thanks
Regarding the 2.4Ghz dongle latency; while it is quite good for a wireless solution, I still notice a bit of latency compared to wired earbuds. I play osu! (a rhythm game) which requires very low latency audio to play well. While testing these JBLs, I found that there is a noticeable amount of latency compared to my wired earbuds from before. It's slight, but noticeable if you really compare them to something else that's wired. I've tried disabling sound enhancements and tuning the driver settings inside/outside of JBL's own software but nothing has really reduced the latency on these buds. I think the latency is low enough for casual games, but anything that seriously requires low latency audio will not be good.
@@leoliu1281 The latency is practically indistinguishable for FPS games. I play Valorant and cannot notice any delay in the audio. I believe the delay will only bother people who are playing rhythm games.
Hey I love your videos. Is there a earphones app that not only have a equalizer settings, but within the setting they have a amp toggle that can raise the volume up. Most mp3 player apps have an amp toggle. I want one thats in an earphones app. Hopefully the ones that under $100 dollars. Let me know.
Does the JBL Headphones app let you program the earbud's touch controls for volume? For example, tap left earbud to lower volume, tap right earbud to raise volume. The PS5 is terrible for volume control. You have to click through so many menus to get to the volume. It'd be nice if you could quickly tap the left earbud and it sends a command to the PS5 to lower volume or something similar. On full size headphones (steelseries arctic 7P) it's not an issue because they tend to have a native volume control built directly into the ear cup, in the form of a volume dial. That natively attenuates the drivers. I know that the JBL Quantum TWS has no such attenuator, but maybe it can send a signal to the source to lower volume, similar to how double tapping the AirPods would have the AirPods send a signal to the iPhone to change tracks.
@@CEONTHEMAKING Ah that's unfortunate. It's likely because the PS5 operating system has no built-in function like mobile devices and it doesn't know what to do with a volume change signal from headphones like that. Thanks for testing that out for me!
