I am glad you took a small break and have returned seeing your review brings me a smile especially when your unboxing these SHMA disasters and somehow you get the laughter that was the 2019 night version just falling apart from just being picked up to the arm coming off 1991 goji now we have dorsal plate from 72 kinda glad I'm considering getting Hiya this year but this is becoming a constant issue with these figures which didn't happen previously. A dorsal plate hinge is strange considering minus one Goji didn't have it maybe don't know didn't get it too much money for it since it felt like a 40 or 50 $ figure.

The figure looks great but tbh I can't really justify that price for what you get. Which is just a spare head... Nothing else....For *$90-$100 dollars imported and $80 dollars JP MSRP*. It's a shame because this is one of my favorite Godzilla designs. I hope Hiya will do this guy for 50 dollars cheaper.
So true. $100 is the standard for these but thats way too much..He should def be $65ish dollars but even that would be a little too much..
@@reggie9010 it's not even the standard. SHMA released most of their Heisei and Monsterverse Godzilla figs for $60-75, most including either a beam or other accessories. Bandai is just cheaping out while doubling the price because they know that even after the POS night ver goji, the lackluster 1994 and the mid Blue raspberry goji, people will buy a good looking showa godzilla no matter the cost.

I noticed on a few Japanese review videos about the dorsal plate that moves and can be popped out. I guess they decided to do what they did with Minus One, to possibly give it more room for the neck to look higher...

I watched this vid on my sisters tablet last night also nice unboxing also if they make a minus one repaint they better do something to the dorsal plates
I actually like this figure.. nothing as popped off, The only thing is that the small dorsal plate can move, like Minus one..
But the sculpt, paint, and Detail is perfect
I use to have the Bandai Creations Godzilla 68 - 72 but have long since sold it, so I think that S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla will be a perfect replacement.

Honestly it feels like shm does well with ,Japanese versions of Godzilla and the other Toho kaijus as well as well monsters originating from Japan. Not so well with the American side
I was expecting the tail or the arm BUT THE DORSAL PLATE THAT'S A NEW ONE also this could be good or bad news maybe we will get separate dorsal plates

It really pisses me off that the only accessory he comes with is the Godzilla Vs Gigan Damaged head, cause this guy is from 1968, 1969, 1971 and 1972, because in 1971 (Godzilla Vs Hedorah), he friking FLIES. And they didn't include an ATOMIC BREATH PEICE WHITCH IS HOW HE FLIES! But NOOO! This is Godzilla 1972, and they didn't use the same suit for '71', so when Godzilla 1971 comes out I'll be paying another $100 for the same figure but with probably NO accessories. YAY!

I am still disappointed that his lips don't cover the mouth like the suit, but I understand the limitations at the scale. The suit had weird teeth that lean back into the mouth. Just a shame since my head image of this guy is always mouth closed. Either way its fine, still want this guy
Can we let SHMA do the Toho kaiju and godzilla's and let Hiya do both?
