    LOL @ No wash. Right on, never let them wash your car, vacuuming yes, washing...absolutely not. My customer profile at my ATL dealer lists 'no wash' and 'no RX' if a loaner is needed. I've had 3 IS models and I can't take the FWD of the RX. 😄 It was great advice to say this work should be done by the dealership. I hope people listen, because as you said, if something is broken, you will have a full team of people to yell at. E.g. Service Manager, Location Manager, Area Manager, District Manager, Corporate...etc. Thanks for posting!

      Yeah man. Dashcam caught improper washing techniques at a shop before. That proof gave me a brand new ceramic job after they compromised the last one.
      There are some things that simply are not worth the savings. Hard to dispute a catastrophic failure with corporate when it’s all logged. Got to keep your backing.
      Thanks for watching! 🙏🏽✊🏽

    Thanks for the video my man. I have a 2015 with 66K and will probably add this service at 70 K. I've heard about the TVD going out and that could cost one arm, two legs and a kidney to put it right. I do have an extended warranty but I also keep all my invoices. By the way. The wife has that RX 350. We've been on a few long rides in the RC, but now any extended trips we'll let the RX handle that. B😎 brother!

      Thanks for watching man. You’re right in line with me at 70k. That TVD new is about $20 something thousand just for the part itself no labor. Definitely want to do all you can to keep it healthy lol.
      I can see that RX being the long ride of choice. It was very comfy!

      @@BWItoATXFVery comfy! I'll take the RC especially when I know I'm going to show out once we get to the destination. But in the RX I'm in kool out status until it's my turn to drive.

      Interesting about the TVD what kind of mileage before it goes out? I have the performance package with TVD on mine haven’t seen to much in this subject.

      That’s the good thing about it. Not too many reported failures to my knowledge. I think the biggest expense is the TVD modules on each side. The mechanical itself probably doesn’t fail, but not looking to give it any reason to.

    I did brake fluid, trans flush ,spark plugs, coolant flush and TVD service for around $1800 on my 2015.
    I figured at a Lexus dealer why not…lol. #peace of mind
    They did wash it though 😂

      Sometimes paying for peace of mind is really worth it. Sorry about the wash though 😅

      I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum now. Historically, u have used Mobil1 full synthetic and have had no issues. Either one is a good choice.

    My 2016 still only has 18000 miles they trip out and always assume I crashed it or something when I take it in but it’s all original miles . About to do my 20k service soon 😅. I’m always wondering if I should just do a transmission and diff fluid change because of it’s age alone not necessarily the miles ?

    • @BWItoATXF
      @BWItoATXF  9 месяцев назад +1

      20k is brand new! Although age is up there, I’m not sure how much of a factor that would be over miles worked. I’d ask the forums/groups to see other’s perspective. I personally would probably leave it alone tbh.

      Oil oxidizes over time, you should still change the fluid because they have time or mileage intervals. Engine oil is every 5k OR 6 months, whichever comes first. All the other fluids do as well. Transmission rule of thumb, 60k or 5 years, coolant 100k or 10 yrs, diff fluid is 30k or 3 years and there's more
