I would say im still new to homeschooling last year was my 1st time homeschooling , my oldest used IXL in public school but didnt bc their was no videos it was like he had to know it out of the blue so Im gladd you mention that thank you. We dont have anything planned just mainly finishing & getting things caught up, I planned to go to those homeschool sale things be my 1st time so once do that im hopeing to be able to plan our new school year . 😊👍
We still have until the middle of June before we are done but since this is our first full year of homeschooling I have no idea what we are doing this summer. I know I want to do something but still trying to figure that out. I am also in NC you should do a meet up!
I'm sorry you are going through all of that. I've had ongoing health issues myself over the past few years (whenever one issue gets cured or treated, another illness pops up) but I can't say I have any brain issues that I know of. I do have an autism spectrum disorder which is cognitive, but I don't know if that counts. It doesn't cause any physical illness. I have been having fainting spells and I'll be going for tests soon to make sure they aren't actually seizures (I don't think they are, though, I think stress, anxiety and physical illness affect my vagus nerve). It's sad because I'm only 33 and you look like you're around my age and it sucks to have these things happening so early in life. I will keep you in prayer. You could definitely be my soul sister! I have been battling illness for 12 1/2 years now. Mine is autonomic related. I will keep you in my prayers. We wrapped our school year up two weeks ago. I was more than ready. We will be starting back up the first part of August. I would love to school year round, but I know my child would protest. 😆
Can I just say…you do not look old enough to have teenagers! 😊 Sorry to hear about your health difficulties. We still have til the middle of June with school, but we’re so excited for summer break!!
We are finishing up school this week. I’m planning to take a one week or so break and then have my son do his Evan Moor work book, reading, a Bible study I got for the summer, and a bird study. Maybe throw in IXL or some online math games. I haven’t come up with a definite date to start his 4th grade year, maybe end of August??? Btw your channel has been such a blessing to me. I would like to be year around homeschoolers but my kids get so stuck on when they neighbors have their breaks through out the year, and they go to public school. 🤦🏼♀️ I too am mentally so ready to done! I was watching an older video of yours and you mentioned a typing program you use for your kids. If you don't mind my asking, are you still using it and what is the name of the program?
Same here. We are going to continue our daily prayer and Bible study. And keep up with language Art and Math. But We will be resting and enjoying the summer most of the time. I have a kindergarten who is up speed. And a third grader who I want give her more attention since my focus as I been more focused on my kindergarten. Then there my fifth grader who as well I will be reading and keep up with with him. He is pretty smart but I want keep up with him. But the true is I rather just want to be a mom to them.

Taking summer off, but doing a states and capitals mini study sometime over the summer
