    My daughter was a lifeguard and taught young kids to swim. Usually, these are kids on the year-round swim team. COVID kind of messed up the lifeguard pipeline, but hopefully, it is back in balance in about a year.

    It's because rent is too high, makes it too difficult for families to survive and stay in the bay area.
    The solution is to limit the number of houses a person is allowed to own and to make it illegal for investment groups to own homes. That will push prices and rent down, and put homes in the hands of the people they're intended for: families that work locally.
