The BW Dream Rides series is some of the best two-wheeled content on RUclips, it gives us average Joe's a glimpse under the kilt of some truly exotic kit that most will never have the opportunity to own. As always, cracking production values and relatable, real-world insight provided by Chris. Thanks again to the Bike World team, keep up the good work!
Modern MV's look like what you get when you have 20 design teams working independently to make the most over the top element of the bike and then all 20 sections of the bike are combined at the end on an assembly line. Like an all dressed pizza with 50 different ingredients.
I absolutely love the design and you are dead on about the glorious sound. It's a dream bike for sure. I just wish they hadn't caved on the horrible fad flat finishes. The bike would look so much better with proper gloss paint finishes.
MV Agusta is my personal second favorite brand behind Ducati, but I agree with Chris in recent years the styling has got a tad much. It still looks good but the F3 800 from the mid 2010s is still the best looking sports bike in my opinion.
There are very beautiful MVs out and I'm like Chris there are some not so beautiful ones. I've never seen one that I thought I could ride far enough for lunch. I'm glad MV makes these bikes even though I'll never be ever be able to afford one but I'll settle to sit and look at one.
Now for a complete contrast, go ride the Turismo Veloce preferably an SCS model. Incredibly sophisticated, practical sports tourer, with a real world tank range, all day riding ergonomics, clutchless shifting, semi active suspension & factory hard luggage. A completely different take from anything else on the market.
Fellow denizens of motorcycling, I have a question for you: This upcoming season fits my schedule for a new bike. I'm 44 and I've been riding for 26 years. I'm currently riding a '22 Honda CB1000R and I'm a BIG fan of naked bikes. Now for the question: head vs heart - '24 Triumph Speed Triple or Ducati 950 SP? I love multiday rides and utility; but I also love fun. So....... help me out!
First time I tried the B-King back in the day was when I realized that overpowered naked bikes is way too fun. Would like to throw a leg over that thing too even though I find the tail to be a bit wonky, I'm sure it's irrelevant once you turn the engine over and get cracking.
I love mine with the cat/muffler bypass. Sluggish at low rpm. However it comes with a extra sprocket (minus 1 tooth). I'm going to change the sprocket look forward to it. Also my quickshifter doesn't work. Never did. And tank has bubbles. Under warranty so that's ok. Would I buy again definitely!!
Talking about the recent MV Agusta history, the peak was reached during the Castiglioni - Tamburini era. The Brutale specifically has completely revolutionised the naked motorcycle design, that until then was pretty much stuck in the 70s. After over 20 years, most naked still have some pretty obvious references to its design. Unfortunately, following Tamburini's death and after Castiglioni sold the company to HD, everything has gone downhill.
I really like the front 2/3 rds, but the rear wheel and tail end just don't suit the rest of the bike, something a bit tacky about them....nice sound though !
Great vid as always. Perhaps your "learn something new every day" for today can be to pronounce the manufacturer's name correctly. It's MV Agusta, not Augusta 😊 Keep up the good work!
I really like MV's, no idea why. Ive owned a 750f4, a 750 brutale & I did 6000 miles last summer on my 1090 brutale. Now i really really want a Rush. Thanks for potentially ruining my bank balance 🤣
It would be great if you can compare some old-ish exotic naked bike like Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 with modern naked bikes like MV Rush or other supernaked...😎🏍
Sorry, the green Yamaha 650 with a number 4 plate stole my attention fast and hard. Anyway, back to the MV’s Rush, I got to say to it’s so ugly it’s beautiful. I like it a lot, no really, I do. It has the same odd effect on me when the first BMW R1100GS came out where ugly is beautiful. I love that weird square-headlight and tele-lever ugliness.
4-cylinder reputation is because of emissions equipment. People who are in their early 30's have only ever heard a 4-cylinder (other than R1) that's trying to express itself through a stack of wet newspaper.
Don’t get MV’s or Lamborghini’s too try hard for my tastes. Are your videos shot in the Peak District? Lived in Ireland 20 years but I’m from Derbyshire, I’m sure I’ve ridden those roads?
I haven't heard you laugh like that during a dream ride before, I don't think. What a mental machine. I can see why it needs the butt-crack ventilation slit in the seat!
How'd you get on with the ignition key ???😂.....had a Nurburgring a couple of weeks ago....which I think is a much classier version....I simply couldn't get my head around the fact that a sentient being placed it where it is!
A parte de ver esa hermosa moto. Da tristeza ver ese campo extenso sin arbolizacion. Grupos de moteros organizar jornadas de Finde semana y salir a sembrar en familia y
Seems to me like the designer of this bike cant decide if he wants it to look like retro or modern bike so he combined the two style and came up with this abomination.
The front end is OK, but from the footpegs back it's just a mess. Tacky rear wheel trim, ugly exposed exhaust cat, clumsy tailpipes and grotesque seat hump and tail light.
Trying to think of a more witty word for Massive Vankers bike but my working class education has failed me. Get a Bandit 12 fit a big bore kit & big rear sprocket then Wang it,
Mmmm not sold on the looks myself. Proportionally the radiator takes up too much real-estate and the headlight seems off to me. I’d love to see a bunch of reviews from you that it was clear you didn’t like the bike.
MV have made some of my favorite all time looking bikes. But all these new, "special" ones that are at the bikes shows etc. just look dumb. Kind of looks like they made a motorcycle for the Adam West batman show, but then tried to make it ugly.
It's a fantastic machine. The suspension in the RR is too much for the street but still an amazing bike. Just looking at it parked in the garage is fun too. It sounds like a Ferrari F1 from the 90's with the full Arrow exhaust and race ECU fitted. It's extremely loud.
MV are weird. They can make the jaw droppingly gorgeous Superveloce and they can make this CAD spawned nightmare of awkward angels that don't flow together. I'm sure it's a blast but it's bloody hard on the ol' eyes
I always thought they made awesome looking bikes, but that’s where it ends for me. It’s kind of like Moto Guzzi. I stop and look at one when I see one, then I walk away wondering who the people are that buy them. I wouldn’t compare them to Lamborghini or Ferrari. I’d compare them to Ariel. Really cool and unique but you’d rather drive one than own one, and wonder why it’s so expensive
Why the mismatched red bits? Why put any red bits on it? Looks like a factory rat bike to me or one of Lewis Hamilton “specials”. Not a fan but I can see why someone can like it.
Unfortunately I once bought an MV F3 800 Ago, simply put the single worst purchase I’ve ever made, terrible build quality, horrendous reliability and zero dealer support in the UK. I will never have anything good to say about them again.
If they were as reliable as a suzuki hayabusa or gixxer, I would actually buy one cause God knows that 95% of people that actually buy one will have to travel a few hundred miles just to have it serviced correctly without breaking the warranty...lol...haha
Just because it is rare, doesn't automatically make it special, and I'm afraid that thing is not just not special, it's fugly. In fact, it seems that the more "special" a bike is these days, the uglier it gets.MVs, Brabuses, those godawful "Broughs", and I haven't even got onto the subject of that execrable "Aston Brough". I get that slinging a leg over something like the Rush must be a bit of a special moment, but I can't imagine the levels of disparity between income and brains you'd need to have to actually buy one.
Noi matter the bike ir the content, I can listen to Chris present anything.
Ah Finally a MV on the show, thanks Chris! another great video and props for taking a 200+ hp bike on the road with these conditions
I love MVAGUSTA and is being reviewed by my favorite motorcycle journalist. Cool stuff.
Bike looks so awesome. Chris is the absolute best tester ever!!
An absolute beauty; usually I don’t like over the top designs but this just works

Finally you rode an MV Agusta finally 🙌🏼
Man, what a work of art. Awesome, really!
Mate, those roads looked slippery as hell, well done trying to ride the MV with those power characteristics, looks awesome.
It’s a dream bike. All MV’s are. You drive it and place it right in your living room. Damn good bike that looks and is the part.
The engine revs remind me of the lambo at the start of the canonball run movie
Modern MV's look like what you get when you have 20 design teams working independently to make the most over the top element of the bike and then all 20 sections of the bike are combined at the end on an assembly line. Like an all dressed pizza with 50 different ingredients.
😂 Spot on
100%
Seconded
Messy over the top styling
Agree, also don’t like it from the front
I have the 2000 F4 750...and I agree. What a very special bike to ride. The character is intoxicating!
wow, an inline4 an actually be exotic and fun, the sound is nuts!
Another magic review. This is why we ride motorcycles … amazing 👌🏻
I love so much your bike series! Regarding the 4cyl sound you mentioned that the ZX-7RR was the best sounding bike on Earth!
I've got an MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR and I reckon you should jump on the other newer MV's...you'll be giggling all day long. Very special bikes!
I absolutely love the design and you are dead on about the glorious sound. It's a dream bike for sure. I just wish they hadn't caved on the horrible fad flat finishes. The bike would look so much better with proper gloss paint finishes.

The change was when Tamburini died.
It's not just Chris's favorite time, its all time favorite time,it's Dream Rides!
Great review and total respect, supercorsa’s in those conditions 😮
Beatifull MvAgusta. And, some many potholes in this road...
Love your reviews and passion. Wow what a sound
There are very beautiful MVs out and I'm like Chris there are some not so beautiful ones. I've never seen one that I thought I could ride far enough for lunch. I'm glad MV makes these bikes even though I'll never be ever be able to afford one but I'll settle to sit and look at one.
Mortimer Road really needs resurfacing, hopefully before the weather turns dryer 👍

I’ve always fancied one of these - will be very interested to watch this !
I hope we get to see Chris reviewing the 921S when it's finally out
So will u ride it again when the conditions are better so we can see what the buke can do?

Get a KTM SDR or a MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR
Super Duke R for the win.

Monster SP is the better bike but is overpriced
@@Jinjajamie Monster SP wasn't even on my radar, but maybe I should check it out?

Superbe merci pour la vidéo

I love my brutale 1078rr, as for the rush, hate the wheel cover and the number plate holder, apart from that I like it.
F4r is still the most beautiful fully faired motorcycle out there ❤
Great vid as always. Perhaps your "learn something new every day" for today can be to pronounce the manufacturer's name correctly. It's MV Agusta, not Augusta 😊 Keep up the good work!
Where is the 1390 super duke video? Why not uploaded yet?
Chris you are the best!
Yes please.

Brilliant bike great review
Gorgeous… what colour Rawplugs would I need to mount it on my wall ?
It would be great if you can compare some old-ish exotic naked bike like Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 with modern naked bikes like MV Rush or other supernaked...😎🏍
Love your content Chris, but why does everyone, including you, call the Agusta an Augusta ?
Same reason they call Akrapovic ‘Akropavic’…
i hope you manage to ride an MV AGUSTA SUPERVELOCE 1000 SERIE ORO when they are available. they are going to be even more special that this bike.

I just checked for dealerships in the United States. Only shows one in Texas. WTH
Can you please do an F3 track review
If Ducati are the Ferrari of bikes then MV are definitely the Lamborghini of bikes.
Molto bene! 🤌
M favorite bike 👍
Did they make you wash the bike once you got back 😅
I must have missed it! Did James or Chris mention the PRICE??
Why Dream Rides in the winter? Dry roads just in 1 month? No sumer dream rides? Whats is wrong with you?
4-cylinder reputation is because of emissions equipment. People who are in their early 30's have only ever heard a 4-cylinder (other than R1) that's trying to express itself through a stack of wet newspaper.
Good review and a very nice looking bike. I was an MV Agusta fan until I owned 1 but the throttle map was horable and put me right off the MV.
Stunning MV! SHITE UK roads !
Don’t get MV’s or Lamborghini’s too try hard for my tastes. Are your videos shot in the Peak District? Lived in Ireland 20 years but I’m from Derbyshire, I’m sure I’ve ridden those roads?
Yes, it's the Strines road and surrounding area. More pot holes than actual tarmac sadly.
Normally i love the designs on MV's but this one not my fav, great review as always Chris
I haven't heard you laugh like that during a dream ride before, I don't think. What a mental machine. I can see why it needs the butt-crack ventilation slit in the seat!
Is it better than Kawasaki ZH2 ? :D
You should hear IMKAY's mv rush.
Garish is right. Lambo to Ferrari as MV is to Ducati. Perfect.
If you go by racing success...MV is Ferrari
@@ramms Haha yes if you got by recent history. I was really referring to the garishness of the styling, but sure.

yes, it is.
KTM 990 Duke review when? 😜
Great video, I agree with you Chris, their styling isn’t for me either. Glad they exist though

I really don't like this thing,

Mmmm not sold on the looks myself. Proportionally the radiator takes up too much real-estate and the headlight seems off to me. I’d love to see a bunch of reviews from you that it was clear you didn’t like the bike.
Bit passive aggressive? 🤣
There’s not much F4 in that monstrosity , comes with a 1992 cavalier wheel trim on the back wheel.
