The people who turn in front of them usually have their heads up their asses, their radio blasting, they are on their phone, ear buds stuck in their ears turned up to 9, or just old people who can't hear worth a shit. I was a career driver engineer in a popular Florida tourist town. Some of the worst drivers in the world. The numb nut rig driver in this video won't last long.

@skateboardrider100 its a recording. Our station has a intercom which when our tone drops we hear what the call is then a bell and that tone goes off lol plus i downloaded it on my phone for active911. Which is basically a pager on your phone lol

Also, I am really appalled by US drivers now - the normal siren should be heard from roughly half a mile away. Add in the Q siren, double the distance? At close range - 1/4 mile - the horn makes it obvious that you really should pull over and not just keep driving until it conveniences you.
Are American drivers just plain ignorant, or tone deaf and ... stupid...?
i think its more of a "i don't give a shit" plus most of the people are probably illegals that don't speak english let alone know traffic laws

Does anyone else hear the Emergency! tones at the begginning? I'm starting to hear it on alot of fire response videos and it dosn't sound like it's actually in the video like my youtube is messed up after watching an episode of Emergency!

Rick1885 True, Our county is good with ours, We usually get it through active 911 maybe 5 seconds before the tones go off. Probably depends on the dispatching system?
2nd Lt. Cohiba Fox Often times our Active 911 come before the pager goes off, or they just don't send one where i live 😂
this drove ambulance paramedics until they popped in front of me at the crossroads :) else you know, when I ran into them they had to pay full repair of my car!

Please send this onto the Engine 255 crew: At 1:46, a car cuts across the fire truck. Next time, instead of swearing (which they won't hear anyway), take down the damn plate number, and send it to the police. Yeah, ok, so it's one driver - one less that will cut you off in future. They might also tell their friends.... many other drivers that won't cut you off?

how do they get that as a tone? Is it just a recording or dispatch sets it? Please reply if you or anyone knows. Because we have our tones set off by dispatch and our station does a loud bell and a intercom voice

There's just something that irks me seeing 19/22 year old crew and driver. I like the Chicago vids better since they're older looking and actually look experienced.
Lol.....A lot of people are surprised that volunteers make up most of Prince George's firefighters, and that P.G. is one of the nation's busiest fire departments. While the VOLUNTEERS gp to a modified fire school, they are required to have a lot of additional training before they can fight interior fires. Since the career guys tend to work weekdays, during the dayshift, the majority of experience goes to the volunteers, who tend to work all evenings, all weekends and all holidays, in the county. Some county departments are 100% volunteer. Of course, some of the volunteers are careers guys, elsewhere.
