I absolutely love the tip about active listening. I recently read the book "You're not listening" that teaches exactly this. Active listening has helped me become better at understanding people and slow down to pay attention to them. As someone with ADHD it's often quite difficult for me to spend time listening instead of thinking of the next thing to say. Active listening makes them feel heard and your conversations more meaningful. What I have learned to do at work: I often rephrase what someone just said in my own words after they said it. Force yourself to do this before you comment, and make sure they agree with your rephrasing. This gives them the opportunity to correct any misunderstanding before you dismiss their idea (because you misunderstood it), it also allows them to feel good that their message came through to you and you're actively trying to understand them.
So many people don't do active listening that when you do it, it becomes powerful. No joke people will respect you at work more just for doing this, and it isn't even difficult. You will over time start to be respected as a leader just simply because you listen to people. Sometimes the best charisma is not saying the right thing, but just simply being able to hear the right person.
While this has helped me a lot at work (as a software engineer), unfortunately it hasn't helped me as much in my romantic life. Dating isn't as formulaic. People want to not just be heard but also be admired and attracted when dating.

This is really Inspiring, it has really boosted my self confidence and self worth.
I really do feel humiliated when I am with others. Thinking that I'm not really good enough, thanks for this eye opener.
    I really appreciate it.
    More grace

    Dear Mike,
Thank you for your awesome content, I've found some of the best advices about confidence and social interactions on your channel!
I'd just love to make a small suggestion to make your videos even better as I really think you deserve way more views - it would be nice if you could make your background a bit more cheerful, e.g. to put some plants, have more daylight...
I wish you much success with your channel! 💖

azdoglover7 then it's their problem, you might even refer them to Mike's video to boost/improve their social skills 😁😁😁 But be more polite when giving someone advice. Some people find it a little annoying, they get offended or wrong impression that you know too much or are better than them.

Hi Myke, I realized a lot of this advice is similar to the advice given bu Dale Carnegie from How to Win Friends and Influence People. Just wondering, did you learn a lot of these social hacks from books such as this?
