+Matthew Davis hmm to me _Karak_ sounds _like_ 'IGN' -in the best possible regard (professionalism, scale etc). One man endeavor. Although this might have to do with me not being _American,_ respectfully. (as in; so they all sound the same :P _jk_)
Finished the game last night. Man, was it good. If this is truly the end of Nate's journey and possibly the end of the Uncharted series, then I'm happy. The ending really nailed it. And I gotta say. This was the most gorgeous game I've ever seen.
jagfan101 Ah, sweet. Didn't know if they'd do that, since Uncharted never had that before. Maybe we'll do some adventuring with Nate and Elena as Cassie?
Just beat the game. The quality is amazing, but personally, I don't believe it lived up to Uncharted 2 story-wise. That's just my current emotions toward the game. Still a fantastic experience by itself, but currently for me, it's 2, 4, 3, 1 from greatest to least.
This is my favourite game in years. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Although, for some reason in this one, and I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes in the cut scenes I think he looks like Liam Neeson. Oh, side note: The crate. What the hell was up with that? It's like, no matter where you are, what era of environment you visit, that one wheeled crate follows you around like a bad smell. If you can't reach somewhere, luckily, there's this one convenient wheeled crate somewhere for you to find and push into place. Like seriously, at least change the goddamn colour to make it look different. But it was the same every time. I encountered the same crate so much I was beginning to see it as an additional character in the story, none of which would have been possible without it. So, you know, you could argue that was the real star of the game. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, staring Nathan Drake and wheeled crate. Annnd scene.
Seems to be something ND really likes to do. I don't know why they haven't come up with a better solution as it's always brought up with their games. I guess it's something they put in as 'it works' with a plan to change if there is time before release but there never is!
I don't understand why you don't have more subs. your reviews are choice af. the attention to detail and awesome writing, not to mention great reviews overall. keep it up dude.
John Hulme because people don't need to see reviews of games they don't want in their inbox, so they don't subscribe. but when we actively search for a review, we come here.
Beat Uncharted 4 a few days ago. It's better than Uncharted 2 in just about every way. The visual detail is crazy insane. Did you know that even lamps and other lights have cords attached and are plugged into the wall sockets in this game? This is one of a thousand examples of how insane the visual detail is. It's beyond anything PC devs have tried to do. This game nearly gave me a heart attack with all of the crazy action sequences and set pieces. Also, best conclusion to a video game series, ever! Uncharted 2 does not compare.
Warp2567 uncharted 2 did some things better. like puzzles. puzzles were way harder in uncharted 2. and also climbing. there's too much climbing in uncharted 4. it's like a rock climbing simulator almost
leon floyd Its just one of many examples why UC4 has an insane amount of detail which helps create a believable and dynamic environment. PC devs are left behind the dust as they continue to make static environments with glorified resolution.
TheWitchking123 Not exaggeration in the slightest. I thought the pacing was incredible. UC2 had too much shooting, and UC4 may have too much climbing but the gorgeous backdrops and environment made up the shortcomings of its platforming. It just felt more alive compared to UC2. The relatioship woes between Nathan and Elena felt real and you could feel Elena's pain of deceit and lies made by her husband. It felt like a real life marriage struggle that can happen to absolutely any couple. Incredible experience of a game.
+tomikaze777 That bastard and his brother have a helluva grip strength. If Nathan and Sam Drake were real they would rape the American Ninja Warrior contest. Your comment was hilarious. Well played sir, well played.
I think I just watched this review for the fourth time... I've had UC4 since day one, but I still can rewatch your reviews any day. Your style and professionalism make for what are probably my favorite reviews on RUclips. Many people can learn from you. Keep it up!
This game is incredible. Easily the best looking game I've ever seen. I'm just getting started but holy hell is it amazing. The details, the story, the gameplay, I can't say enough good things about it. Nice work Naughty Dog.
Dunce I wish The Order got a sequel. The game was a lot of fun to play and yea the graphics are INSANELY good. I feel like they'd improve a lot if they made another game
Karak gives the most poetic and visual descriptions on RUclips. I go to several channels for game reviews, because there are numerous content creators who put a lot of effort into putting out informative and entertaining videos. But when I'm on the PlayStation Store, and I'm genuinely considering purchasing a game, it is a MANDATORY, that I go to ACG because Karak's reviews aren't exclusively entertaining and informative in the most general of senses, but he's in-tuned to the minute details that GAMERS (someone alwho is actually willing to spend their hard-earned money on a game) ACTUALLY care about. I can honestly say that I have NEVER purchased a game, and not reach a comparable conclusion as to the major aspects of the game, story, visuals, and fun factor potential as Karak. You're doing the Lords (of gaming) work, continue to fight the good fight, much respect.
Your reviews are works of art in themselves. It's almost embarrassing how superior you are to pretty much every other gaming site/reviewer out there, including the big boys. It'd be cool if you had a site with text versions of the reviews - although it might be a pain in the ass to type up seeing as you say about a trillion words. Might help for exposure too. Keep it up man.
This was a very fair review unlike IGN. thanks man for doing this game's review justice. On a side note I think the reason a lot of people find this game slower than the previous Uncharted games is because this is a more personal story for Nate (no spoilers for anyone who hasn't played yet). If you notice there is no "Nate's Theme" rather a theme song with tiny snippets of the familiar "Nate's Theme" thrown in. Also Nathan Drake no longer wears a gaudy belt buckle instead he opts for a normal belt. This story is more mature and more personal for Nate and it's his end and his swan song. So instead of going for a game that was like the original games they opted to really delve into his past, present, and even a little into his future for his last installment. The 3rd and final act was a huge build up that I personally really really enjoyed. I don't really feel it was slow but I do understand how some people feel it was a bit slower.
ACG, if I could shake your hand I would. The realest thing that you kept bringing up in this review is that it has flaws, it's not perfect. So many reviewers that I've looked at seem afraid to point that out about U4, mainly because of backlash. But regardless of that, I still can't wait to get my copy tomorrow. Great review as always!
+GlassHalfFool Star Wars battlefront Remember when we were upset that it would just be Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Not what I would give if it were actually that...
You are the new gold standard for video game reviews on RUclips It's a shame how low some of your video view counts are, people dont know what they are missing out on Keep up the great work
great review as allways il share and spread the review on twitter and fb your easily the best and hardest working games channel on youtube but your reviews are allways funny detailed and honest. great work karak.
Nate does kill a lot, but only becasue they are trying to kill him first... so the whole murder simulator joke is tired and inaccurate (not just you, tons of people make this joke). It is more a self defense simulator :D I agree he is by definition a "Mass Killer"... I just think "Mass Murderer" does not fit (for me that implies an evil cold blooded act, and well that is not Nate and not the situation in the game).
ya if that kind of reasoning actually worked in real life I would be a busy man. Hey they were threatening me. Push them down a well, down a flight of steps, over a cliff. I should probably run away since I am being threatened. Sprints into old castle like a money grubbing robber kills 10 people. BUT THEY WERE THREATENING ME. lol Sir if you were threatened why did you keep running TOWARDS them? Fight or flight mam. Fight or Flight. Boom 40 years in the slammer and an ABC special lol
ACG I think you are a bit off the mark on this... you are talking like Nate was not in some random area with no police or regular people around (most of the time anyways). But my point is they are always trying to kill him... can you give an example where he killed someone without having been shot at by the group either at the time or earlier?
Nah any time he jumps on a plane and TRAVELS TO a spot that he knows will be trouble ya he is a killer or a car or bus and especially in 4 you kill people first many times. Hell it was half the stealth reconfigure. It was even in my pr materials lol
I just received my copy of Uncharted 4 today and I am very excited to play it. I've been a huge fan of the Uncharted franchise with Uncharted 2 being my favorite entry in the series. I've beaten all 3 Uncharted games on the PS3 as well as Uncharted Golden Abyss on the PS Vita. The series has always excelled when it comes to gameplay, storytelling, level design, puzzles, voice acting and graphics. Uncharted 4 looks to be an amazing game that continues said trend and is a fitting end to one of gaming's most popular characters. Nathan Drake and his cast will be sorely missed. Its been an amazing and unforgettable journey that I'm glad to have been a part of. Naughty Dog has once again solidified itself as one of the best developers in the business. Great game, great video and great reviewer. Thanks Karak and God bless!
I'm getting the game in about two weeks time, I can't wait to try it out. Tell me if you liked it! I want to mostly get it becuase I also own The Last of Us which was also made by Naughty Dog and I think it will be a ton of good fun.
The setup really reminded me of the Netflix show "Bloodline", and Sam seemed inspired, coincidental or otherwise, like the black sheep brother in that show. Mysterious, long streak of mistakes, they even smoke almost constantly. Definitely worth looking at if you haven't already. Great review as always, thank you
Youre my hands down favorite reviewer ! Please never change or be sold out like so many wanna be reviewers out there that have become a fake spokesperson whos nothing but a face being paid to give fake reviews! I know i can always count on your gaming wisdom to make my dollar go farther!
What I like about your videos is that you put some genuine effort into choosing vivid analogies and modulating your language. I listen to this not only because I love Nate, Sully and Elena (Elena !!
I just finished this game 2 days ago. The game plays in 1080p at 30 fps. The online multiplayer plays in 900p at 60 fps and OMG, what a difference. For me, at least.
You are the best reviewer ever, you make IGN,GameSpot, and whoever else look like amateurs. You don't "Try" to sound professional, and you are definitely not boring to listen to.
I never really encountered any problems with animation when I was playing. It all ran very smoothly. To me, this is one of the best games ever, and the best on the PS4. It's a masterpiece.
Beat the game last night loved every minute of it....but I can't lie, I don't want to live in the moment of course this game looks the best out of every uncharted game but I still think 2 is better overall ..but hands down it's one of the best series I ever played
i love how you make your reviews. well written and points out what matters. and no points system too. let us decide whether the game is good or not. absolutely brilliant review.
At the 00:30 sec mark was that a Dilion Thomas reference I just heard...I love that poem, So much so I read it to my father when he was days away from passing..Way to class up the review with a dash of culture; ) as always great review
3D Pitfall, lol awesome throwback reference. Been gaming since the days of Pong and Atari...that made my day! You're a great reviewer. Smart and thorough.
I am still playing Uncharted 4 at the moment. I think that Uncharted 2 is the best entry in the series. However, Uncharted 4 is just as good as Uncharted 2 if not better. Its the best looking game in the series and the best looking game on console. That is pretty impressive considering how many great looking games we've seen this console generation (The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Ryse Son of Rome, The Order 1886, Just Cause 3, Forza 6, Infamous Second Son to name a some titles). The game is open ended when compared to the previous entries in the series. Uncharted 4 is more character and plot driven than the prior titles. Shooting has been improved a bit and it has a bit of a crunch to it (impact wise). Hand to hand combat has been improved because it feels weighty this time around. The story is more personal because Nathan Drake is forced to once again go treasure hunting in order to save Sam Drake's life. Despite the darker tone, the game is still light-hearted in nature. Nathan Drake still makes jokes and witty comments even in the most chaotic moments. The rope swinging mechanic works well for the most part but it can be a bit finicky at times. The game's stealth mechanic takes inspiration from The Last of Us, although not as brutal and violent of course. My biggest gripe with Uncharted 4 and pretty much the Uncharted series as a whole is in regards to the camera which is frustrating during platforming sections. Other than that, Uncharted 4 is a fitting end to an amazing franchise, an amazing cast of characters and an amazing effort by one of gaming's best developers Naughty Dog. Its been an amazing journey for the Uncharted series and I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to go along for the ride.
I think the most insane visual effects this and TLOU pulled off was the extra layer of occlusion shadows that gets softer the further the shadow point is to the shadow caster. This is like a big step up from sbao as sbao was a step up from ssao.
Only decent honest non fan boy review of games. knew the game was going to be awesome, but it's always great coming here and getting a decent in depth review. million times better then ign.
This game was just a beautiful, exciting, amazing journey It saddens me we wont be seeing any more drake : ( but I think ND will be givin us more joel and ellie so thats great if true!
Good review No trademark co-op for 6 months sees a lot of players waiting for sale, im suprised no reviewer is mentioning that such a popular and majorly replayable feature is absent
I think the music is actually very good and here's why: When you take the time to listen a little more closely to some of the tracks, you will realize that a lot of the themes that are prevalent in the story line can also be discovered within the soundtrack. Themes like safety but also a lack of motion, the lure of adventure (Sam), doubt, danger. Many of these themes seem to be in a struggle especially during those tracks that are closely tied to the narrative. So for example in "a normal life" which is supposed to give a feeling of safety but also that tiredness, that you have been talking about, you will also notice, what I think is the lure of adventure, represented by I think a pan flute and something else. Feels like a soft call from afar. Or "reunited" where you have all the elements of safety, tiredness but also underlying doubt and danger, which almost fracture the harmony, play together. That's just two examples. Also I think that the main theme reflects the very idea that's behind this last game. That is a more mature but also more slow paced approach. Less bombastic, more punctuated, almost a little doubtful or reluctant, maybe afraid of the end? It offers a lot of room for interpretation I guess, but I think there's just much more to that soundtrack than meets the eye (ear). However I have to admit that taken for themselves none of the tracks feels as bombastic or even unique as the previous soundtracks did. Anyway that's my thoughts on the soundtrack. Nevertheless your review was awesome as always. It's great that you take the time to give a more in depth insight into a game whenever it is needed. Keep it up and peace out.
I always say this but your reviews are the best. Soo much information delivered in an entertaining way. You also take into account music and funfactor! Great review. Whenever I decide to buy a PS4 this'll be top of the list.
Really nice review man! I was wondering will you be reviewing 'Stellaris'? I've heard good things but I haven't really played strategy games before. :)
Actually best review in detail without spoiling the story as well. You present a review that expresses your opinion yet keep it balanced so it doesn't taint your review basing it with fa t as well. Very enjoyable. 2 thumbs up.
Amazing review. The amount of information you give is mind boggling as usual yet at a pace that is understandable. I think sometimes I listen to your reviews to see how you keep improving more than the content of the review. Its fun to hear you work on your craft.
here's my opinion about music, i disable it in every game i play, i feel that music is actually immersion breaking. unless that immersion is like your in game character is wearing headphones. it just makes it feel like oh this guy is humming his favorite songs like none stop, i would love a game to come out, where i can disable the music. but leave environmental music enabled, like if you go into a town and a band is playing that is immersive. or like how in fallout, i can disable the music, but if i want to i can turn on radio stations.
Ya know, I was looking for Doom reviews, and I just watched this after seeing that one. You have some very well written reviews here. Keep up the good work, you just earned a sub!
My first time listening to a review on this channel and you give such detailed information and really let us know if something is worth our time and money. surprised your sub count is not much higher. keep up the great work.
I've just bought this but have just been sucked back into Diablo 3 season 6 after not playing for 2 years.. It's consuming my life at the moment. Great review as always..
No one.. I sad NO ONE does an informative thespian game review like ACG. His reviews are a collection of well performed word play and stylized adjectives that are often more fun than the reviewed game itself. IGN & GameSpot should study at the institute of ACG. Please continue the amazing writings and reviews.
Great review as always, but I have to disagree with your 'music' segment especially in the scenes between Elena and Nate; for me, the music drives home their complicated yet quite beautiful relationship, and after I finished the game, I personally couldn't wait to find the music for those particular scenes - the one which I loved most was the scene just after going them going up the huge elevator, I think titled 'For better or worse', where the bliss music was synonymous to that of Elena accepting the beauty behind Nate and their complicated relationship
+Ali Hamid Interesting you are the first person I have heard who likes it. But then again I did say there were some tracks I liked. So like you there are a couple scenes with good music
+Ali Hamid That piano tune you mention and the pirate-sounding theme that plays close to the end were both amazing. As a whole, I think the soundtrack fell a bit short but those two songs are standouts in the whole franchise to me.
+ACG you take ur work serious, gj keep up the good work dont understand that u who spit out almost a review a day have only 120 k views and boogie and joe who take sometimes month to produce some crapppy vlog and boogie sits on his chairs and talks mostly bout nothing, YOU DESERVE BETTER !!!!!
I totally agree with you on the soundtrack. Greg Edmonson from the first three games did an amazing job linking the soundtrack to the locale whether it was South America, Tibet, or the Rub al Khali desert. Uncharted 4's soundtrack just sounds generic except for one or two pieces. Besides that, UC4 is great!
I agree the hand to hand combat is much improved, it seemed to be a bit disjointed in the other uncharted games imo. The last of us is still the king of brutal melee combat though! Naugty dog really do make works of art and im convinced they put more work into motion capture and animation than some devs do the entire game!
You crack so many jokes so fast I have hard time what I should be paying attention to; the game or your rapid fire pop-culture references lol! Great review, as always.
Is there any replay value? or is it linear all the way through, rinse and repeat? I'm big into 'open world' games where i can go back into it maybe with a different idea of how to complete it i.e., Hitman, Skyrim.
It's mostly linear, the areas are more open, but still funnel you to the same place. Personally, I find the more concise experiences to have more replay value, just because I can run through a more direct game more often than a 100 hour experience; but if you didn't see replay value in the last Uncharteds, it's about the same here. Multiplayer is pretty great though.
Great review, I was already looking forward to watching it when the reviews starting coming online. With this game releasing, Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid V still on my to play list and Battlefield 1 announced, I guess it's time to buy a PS4 again.
Haven't enjoyed an Uncharted so much since the first one. Only a few hours into part 4 but already my favorite game of the series. Part 3 was way to much shooting for my liking. Im a shooter fan but the one game I don't care to much for shooting is Uncharted. It suppose to be a cinematic climbing puzzling action adventure a la Indiana Jones and it does just that. Really impressed with the game. Again only a few hours into it now so can't really judge the game overall but have to say the general video's of the game don't do it justice....it's really a movie kind of experience. Love it
ive jumped completely to pc gaming only, got tired of buying an outdated(hardware wise) console every couple of years I don't own a ps4 but love naughty dog and their releases, would you say uc4 is the game to make the ps4 a worth while buy? any other games you might add to that list?
+SYGYZY0 oh I know the last of us is on my top 5 list, spent many many hours playing it on and offline, did and played through everything possible lol, for that reason im not really interested in the remastered version though
+This0is0pointless yeah I played that game to death, but you should get a ps4 for uncharted alone plus all the future exclusives like God of war and horizon zero dawn.
OMFG awesome review. big fan now. but i feel more of you seeped through you doom review and i enjoyed that a whole lot. where this review is mostly about the game and correct me if i'm wrong but if i just want to see if a game is good or not i go to IGN, but i watch Jim Sterling you and others cause i care how you guys relate to the game. but still i think you do the best reviews ever, i love em keep it up man.
+Mohammad Faramarzian Thanks. I am not sure what those others do in their reviews. I just talk. There isn't really a plan, or an angle to get me or the game across. I just say what I felt and how. Appreciate the kind words man
I also noticed the music was very off in this game only really hitting the theme emotionally so I looked up the composer and it turns out it's the guy who's been scoring recent marvel movies including Captain America: Civil War which is why it sounds so generic. He replaced the old composer and I can't really understand why when the old music was so good.
This reminds about what happened going from Halo Reach to Halo 4 with the composers being switched and only like 1 or 2 tracks in Halo 4 stood out while the rest were really bland. This is similar to the soundtrack here as really only the theme stands out and this one emotional piano piece that plays during the somber moments of the game as opposed to the other soundtracks in the series always fitting the moment perfectly.
Absolutely awesome review as always, talking about all the games components that matter to gamers. I'm a PC gamer at heart but damn it's good to dust off the PS4 from time to time and sit back to enjoy these stellar Naughty Dog worlds. It might be my audio but the sound on your review seemed a little low Karak. Hope your dog is on the mend.
Like always excellent review man. you actually did what any trailer that I've watched didn't and what suppose to, get me hyped for this game and make me actually want to get it :)! Thank you so much for sharing your opinion about the game and for all of your effort you're putting into making those reviews :)!
Great review as ever Karak. Really enjoyed the walking the walk too! Question: how come you beck did a review for the last of us? I'd really like to hear your views on it. A walking the walk would be interesting too - after all it was seen as one of the best console games of the generation graphically.
Thanks for the review karak, you guys are fantastic! I watch all acg videos even if i have no interest in the game just because you are so entertaining. Will you be doing an uncharted 4 walking the walk? I love that series and cant wait for the next upload!
I was waiting for your review all this time and I am happy to saw it was excellent as always. How would you rate the UC series? UC2 > UC4? or is it UC4> UC2 >UC3 >UC1? Personally I like UC 3 over UC 2 just for the story piece.
+gamers galore U2, U4 (really for story alone), U3, U1 in that order for me. You're right U3 did story a little better than 2, but I think 2 is better to me because 3 felt so samey and not really like a true evolution of the franchise.
First of all - great review, as always. On another note - I don't really get all the pacing hatred. It was perfect imo, and I absolutely loved the slower parts which created a welcoming dynamic I think these kind of games are often lacking.
+Rickard Markström The problem is that what has always made Uncharted so fun (besides the gampley, story, etc.) is the Hollywood-like set pieces. And while the more open and exploratory levels are beautiful and fun to go around it unfortunately does kill the pacing and makes the big, explosive setpieces few and far between. The gameplay is definitely better and more fun but they essentially took out a lot of the action movie-like feel of the previous games. For me this game is like the MGS5 of the Uncharted series. They both made it more open and for sure refined the gameplay but in attempting to make it more open Uncharted got rid of great set piece moments and made it more slow paced and MGS got rid of a lot of boss fights (which are always great in MGS) and sacrificed story telling. I still love both and they're not disappointing games at all but it does suck that they lacked some of the stuff which originally made the previous games so great.
Thanks for the great review! I just got this game when I finally picked up a PS4 so I could play the new Doom and was worried it was just going to be a soap opera on a rope. (Not fond of the whole "game as movie" thing.) To be honest from what you showed, (and thank you *so* much for not just going with the stock footage. Oy.) it reminds me of the Indiana Jones game on the original Xbox and that's *not* in any way an insult. I loved that game, just soooo much to find that I never did complete it. This looks like it will be the "FallOut 3" of this generation for me.....Huge...Beautiful....Fun....Never gonna' finish inna' million years.... I'm cool with that and they did a really good job on the bundle. The only time I've every even played uncharted was on my Persona 4 machi- er....I mean my Vita and it was good but got forgotten quickly so I'm not really a Nathan Drake fan but it still looks pretty cool.
Great review as always man. I know you said a few months ago that you weren't real excited for Uncharted and Quantum Break, so I'm glad to see the game turned out well enough to win you over.
Your reviews are always perfect/spot on! Just got Uncharted and Doom 4, checked your reviews, and they're exactly how they should be. Both incredible games. You're my second check after metacritic now.
You didn't give this game enough credit. I played Quantum Break on my PC before I got this, and when I played Uncharted, all those micro$oft exclusives felt like junk. Gameplay, AI, cutscenes, graphics, animations .. etc. This game achieved some milestones which were far ahead of half the titles release these years. The last titles impressed me were GTA V and The Last of Us. While I wanna say something good about The Witcher and Fallout, I still think that they are rather disappointed. The gameplay in The Witcher is still too weak if you compare with others.(Gameplay is never its strong point though)
+王宣博 Witcher 3 was GOTY for 2015 and that game offers a ton of value. But you can't compare Witcher 3 to this game as it's completely different. If you were to compare this game to anything then it would be The Last of Us. Honestly you can't compare this to GTA V either because that game offers so much more.
+ACG well what I wanted to say is that your review for this game is disappointing, you should play it more thoroughly before you make this video. I was your subscriber so I've watched some of your videos, but this particular review is unprofessional compared to the others. For example, let's just talk about how you described the music and sfx in this game when you praised Rise of the Tomb Raider and Gears of War Ultimate Edition(if I remember correctly) If you pay enough attention to the sounds while you playing Uncharted 4, you should notice that how many small details they put into it. gizmodo.com/its-nuts-how-much-work-went-into-making-the-sounds-for-1776540122 I know how they made music and sound effects for Tomb Raider series, so I couldn't realize why you weren't able to see that Uncharted clearly did much better at this part? But instead you make it sounds like the music and sounds in this game are rather bad than the other titles(which is obviously not true).
Once again this guy proves that IGN are just jokers.
+Matthew Davis hmm to me _Karak_ sounds _like_ 'IGN' -in the best possible regard (professionalism, scale etc). One man endeavor. Although this might have to do with me not being _American,_ respectfully. (as in; so they all sound the same :P _jk_)
IGN doesn't need this man's help to prove they are jokers. They do that themselves
Yep that's true
When I die, I want ACG to do a review on my life.
lol
lmao!! that's an incredible idea lol
+thezionsoho Graphics are first
+Gabriel LY Lmfao
+thezionsoho ...sound, music, and voice
Finished the game last night. Man, was it good. If this is truly the end of Nate's journey and possibly the end of the Uncharted series, then I'm happy. The ending really nailed it. And I gotta say. This was the most gorgeous game I've ever seen.
There will be singleplayer story DLC like what Last of Us got, but who knows what that will bring.
jagfan101 Ah, sweet.
Uncharted 2 was really awesome, and I completely agree with your ranking.
War624 how long did it take you to finish it
This is my favourite game in years.
So, you know, you could argue that was the real star of the game. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, staring Nathan Drake and wheeled crate. Annnd scene.
+Chris Faust Last of Us 2 better have more crates.
+Chris Faust He looks like a young Liam Neeson. I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices it.
Yeah, me too. I kept seeing it as well.
+BayonetFixer damn right
Seems to be something ND really likes to do. I don't know why they haven't come up with a better solution as it's always brought up with their games. I guess it's something they put in as 'it works' with a plan to change if there is time before release but there never is!
Naughty dog did it again. They've been my favourite developer since the first uncharted, glad they didn't dissapoint.
+MateiDark Same! But for me because of The Last of Us. I like Uncharted as well tho. Can't wait for The Last of Us 2 :)
+MateiDark Jak and Daxter was the very first game by them I played. I haven't been disappointed since.
MateiDark been my favorite devs since Crash Bandicoot
They've been mine since jak 2 ,a good 12 years now.
ACG you bring shame upon reviewers from for example IGN, this is a true review! Great vid and keep it up :D
+Thomas van der Hoek thanks
+ACG IGN has lost touch with gaming,I lost all respect for them after their review of Destiny and Battlefield hardline, they are a joke
+Macc Mosley (MrMosley) indeed, I agree. Good gaming news and reviews nowadays come from the less 'commercialized' sources such as this channel
yeh gave up on IGN after they gave alien isolation a 5.0 and goat simulator a 8.0 lol!! idiots i swear
I don't understand why you don't have more subs. your reviews are choice af. the attention to detail and awesome writing, not to mention great reviews overall. keep it up dude.
+John Hulme He will conquer the world soon enough.
Cause lamps make a game right
leon floyd Its just one of many examples why UC4 has an insane amount of detail which helps create a believable and dynamic environment. PC devs are left behind the dust as they continue to make static environments with glorified resolution.
Thats colossal exaggeration. The pacing in UC4 while cohesive is dreadfully slow and there is simply an overdose of climbing segments.
I can completely relate to Nathan Drake...minus the good looks, adventures, agility, upper body strength. Oh hell, so I'm just immature, that's it!
+tomikaze777 That bastard and his brother have a helluva grip strength. If Nathan and Sam Drake were real they would rape the American Ninja Warrior contest. Your comment was hilarious. Well played sir, well played.
The king of game reviews right here!
Imo Angry Joe is better. But this guy is one of the best!
WH250398 joe? "Laughs"
joe? "Laughs" [2]
Naughty Dog is one of the only reasons I chose Ps4 over Xbox. The games are just amazing
I think I just watched this review for the fourth time...
I've had UC4 since day one, but I still can rewatch your reviews any day. Your style and professionalism make for what are probably my favorite reviews on RUclips. Many people can learn from you. Keep it up!
Love your reviews, prob the most straight forward, honest, techinal, non-fanboyish reviews out there. Keep up the great work.
thanks Joseph
ACG you are a beast
Nothing is quite as quiet as walking around in dense and 5 foot tall foliage.
+Aj Koorstra indeed
This game is incredible. Easily the best looking game I've ever seen. I'm just getting started but holy hell is it amazing. The details, the story, the gameplay, I can't say enough good things about it. Nice work Naughty Dog.
+Ryne Lothrop Agreed! The graphics are simply amazing!
id say the order is the most beutiful game but whatevs
Dunce I wish The Order got a sequel. The game was a lot of fun to play and yea the graphics are INSANELY good. I feel like they'd improve a lot if they made another game
Great video as always 👍 Even though I've completed it 5 times and know every edge of it, I'd like to see a Last of us review!
Nathan looking more and more like liam neeson
+joshwhiteboypettry indeed
Uncharted 5 : A Thief Taken.
+Hilversumborn Ahaha! That's brilliant!
I still like uncharted 2 more but man Unchared 4 is still fun as hell. I just beat the game and I am beyond satisfied. 9.2/10 for me :D
I still don't get why some peeps think that U2 is better than U4. U4 is better in every wat
+aashrith madagiri way
aashrith madagiri from what ppl say, it's a lot less combat and it's slower
aashrith madagiri some of uncharted 4 cam be a bit boring.
@@AquaLady153 I felt it had a lot of combat
Your reviews are works of art in themselves. It's almost embarrassing how superior you are to pretty much every other gaming site/reviewer out there, including the big boys. It'd be cool if you had a site with text versions of the reviews - although it might be a pain in the ass to type up seeing as you say about a trillion words. Might help for exposure too. Keep it up man.
Only review I'll watch cause I know how careful u r with spoilers :)
+Jordon Orcutt thanks
+Jordon Orcutt Yeah much appreciated
Funny since there's lots of story information in this
"Talking to yourself... Actually, it's more like listening than talking." -- ALICE IN THE CITIES (Wenders, 1974)
One of my favourite games ever
man you are SOOOOOO underated.won a sub.keep up this amazing work :)
thanks
+ACG nice vid just got because of you
only game this year that i bought without waiting for your review
+Malcolm Reynolds thanks man and ya agreed on all that
ACG, if I could shake your hand I would. The realest thing that you kept bringing up in this review is that it has flaws, it's not perfect. So many reviewers that I've looked at seem afraid to point that out about U4, mainly because of backlash. But regardless of that, I still can't wait to get my copy tomorrow. Great review as always!
+DeathSeekerism thanks
+DeathSeekerism Is there a game that's perfect? If there is i'd really like to know what it is.
GlassHalfFool I never said there was. Just implying that many who were hyped for the game made it out to be that the game was flawless.
***** Okay i was just curious.
+GlassHalfFool Star Wars battlefront
Remember when we were upset that it would just be Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Not what I would give if it were actually that...
You are the new gold standard for video game reviews on RUclips
It's a shame how low some of your video view counts are, people dont know what they are missing out on
Keep up the great work
Thanks man
great review as allways il share and spread the review on twitter and fb your easily the best and hardest working games channel on youtube but your reviews are allways funny detailed and honest. great work karak.
Nate does kill a lot, but only becasue they are trying to kill him first... so the whole murder simulator joke is tired and inaccurate (not just you, tons of people make this joke). It is more a self defense simulator :D
I agree he is by definition a "Mass Killer"... I just think "Mass Murderer" does not fit (for me that implies an evil cold blooded act, and well that is not Nate and not the situation in the game).
ah. Man I wish that worked in real life.
ACG Self Defense Simulator FTW!
ya if that kind of reasoning actually worked in real life I would be a busy man.
I started always checking your reviews first before buying a game.
+PerseusSagittarius thanks
It's really cool that most of the ACG subscribers watch the videos the channel puts out.
+Jack Walsh thanks
this is a rare bastion of the internet everything is high quality and positive with this chanel .even the comments
+Spright Mir agreed man
+Spright Mir Noticed that while reading through these comments. Thought I left RUclips or something.
+Aye “AzNFoLk” Dre thanks
I never really encountered any problems with animation when I was playing. It all ran very smoothly. To me, this is one of the best games ever, and the best on the PS4. It's a masterpiece.
Beat the game last night loved every minute of it....but I can't lie, I don't want to live in the moment of course this game looks the best out of every uncharted game but I still think 2 is better overall ..but hands down it's one of the best series I ever played
i love how you make your reviews. well written and points out what matters. and no points system too. let us decide whether the game is good or not. absolutely brilliant review.
+Sham Neo thanks
At the 00:30 sec mark was that a Dilion Thomas reference I just heard...I love that poem, So much so I read it to my father when he was days away from passing..Way to class up the review with a dash of culture; ) as always great review
+adam Kondracki :)
'murder grass' ... .. classic! :-)
+abrownies 92 Yeah, i hope so too. I laughed my balls off when he said it, i never thought of it but it's so true!
3D Pitfall, lol awesome throwback reference. Been gaming since the days of Pong and Atari...that made my day! You're a great reviewer. Smart and thorough.
+Mr.Woo Woo Ya 3d pitfall is a hilarious title
What a great review man. You're so in depth and you can actually tell you played it intensely before doing this video unlike other reviewers
+Richard Newton appreciate it
This game was just a beautiful, exciting, amazing journey It saddens me we wont be seeing any more drake : ( but I think ND will be givin us more joel and ellie so thats great if true!
+Nicolas Wohlfahrt agreed
Good review
No trademark co-op for 6 months sees a lot of players waiting for sale, im suprised no reviewer is mentioning that such a popular and majorly replayable feature is absent
I think the music is actually very good and here's why:
When you take the time to listen a little more closely to some of the tracks, you will realize that a lot of the themes that are prevalent in the story line can also be discovered within the soundtrack.
+John Doe thats good. Each to their own of course
I always say this but your reviews are the best. Soo much information delivered in an entertaining way. You also take into account music and funfactor! Great review. Whenever I decide to buy a PS4 this'll be top of the list.
+RockyPunk thanks man
Really nice review man!
+Steven OConnor thanks
Amazing review. The amount of information you give is mind boggling as usual yet at a pace that is understandable. I think sometimes I listen to your reviews to see how you keep improving more than the content of the review. Its fun to hear you work on your craft.
Still waiting for Jak and Daxter 4
never happen
here's my opinion about music, i disable it in every game i play, i feel that music is actually immersion breaking. unless that immersion is like your in game character is wearing headphones. it just makes it feel like oh this guy is humming his favorite songs like none stop, i would love a game to come out, where i can disable the music. but leave environmental music enabled, like if you go into a town and a band is playing that is immersive. or like how in fallout, i can disable the music, but if i want to i can turn on radio stations.
like always entertaining and full of facts great review man keep it up.
Ya know, I was looking for Doom reviews, and I just watched this after seeing that one. You have some very well written reviews here. Keep up the good work, you just earned a sub!
+Emmett Watkins Jr. (Ejsponge61) hey thanks for subbing!
My first time listening to a review on this channel and you give such detailed information and really let us know if something is worth our time and money. surprised your sub count is not much higher. keep up the great work.
+Dr Sheldon Cooper thanks so much man. Spread the word
+karl sinclair appreciate that Karl spread the word
Acg must've been a reporter in his past life, his diction and descriptions OMG
+gamenmore101 lol no
Great review as always, but I have to disagree with your 'music' segment especially in the scenes between Elena and Nate; for me, the music drives home their complicated yet quite beautiful relationship, and after I finished the game, I personally couldn't wait to find the music for those particular scenes - the one which I loved most was the scene just after going them going up the huge elevator, I think titled 'For better or worse', where the bliss music was synonymous to that of Elena accepting the beauty behind Nate and their complicated relationship
I personally really liked the music.
Played Crash Bandicoot and Nate questions why a fox needs so much fruit.
11/10 best game best game
How do you only 120k subs? Should be way more!
+Bahnaruk thanks
+ACG you take ur work serious, gj keep up the good work dont understand that u who spit out almost a review a day have only 120 k views and boogie and joe who take sometimes month to produce some crapppy vlog and boogie sits on his chairs and talks mostly bout nothing, YOU DESERVE BETTER !!!!!
do you buy the regular edition or where do you spend the extra money and get the Deluxe Edition?
The best game reviews on RUclips all hail ACG
+redpepperdave thanks
You crack so many jokes so fast I have hard time what I should be paying attention to; the game or your rapid fire pop-culture references lol! Great review, as always.
+Jack Heathen thanks
ACG No worries.
A perfect end to the greatest game series of all time!
Love it
ACG Very professional and wonderful review :) Thank you for all the work you put into the video!!!!!!
+Jonathan Rigtrup thanks
ive jumped completely to pc gaming only, got tired of buying an outdated(hardware wise) console every couple of years I don't own a ps4 but love naughty dog and their releases, would you say uc4 is the game to make the ps4 a worth while buy? any other games you might add to that list?
Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, and The Last Of Us Remastered are great exclusives. I'd say they're worth it.
This0is0pointless Infamous Second Son, Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank
Appreciate the kind words man
u are so fast with these reviews! great job man!
I also noticed the music was very off in this game only really hitting the theme emotionally so I looked up the composer and it turns out it's the guy who's been scoring recent marvel movies including Captain America: Civil War which is why it sounds so generic. He replaced the old composer and I can't really understand why when the old music was so good.
so generic lol its the best soundtrack in the series and that new nate theme is so amazing the soundtrack fits the game so well.
+Dragonspartax ya its strangely blah. Fits some of the rumors I heard prior to release about it.
The tagging system is so off-putting, you didn't turn that off?
+Renato Couto if its on in the video then it was on during that playthrough
Good stuff as always Karak, even if i don't have a console and don't care about the game your opinion is so detailed that its satisfying :).
Damn I wish Naughty Dog made some games for PC just imagine what they could do with the hardware...
Rigged for Epic lol dust off the ps4
Like always excellent review man. you actually did what any trailer that I've watched didn't and what suppose to, get me hyped for this game and make me actually want to get it :)! Thank you so much for sharing your opinion about the game and for all of your effort you're putting into making those reviews :)!
+Crimson-Tone thanks man
In depth review, when can we expect the next international podcast?
+FreE994 MaN542 couldn't tell you. Once I get all the stuff completed with my injured dog and such I have talked about. Hard to do live stuff now
Great review as ever Karak. Really enjoyed the walking the walk too!
Question: how come you beck did a review for the last of us? I'd really like to hear your views on it. A walking the walk would be interesting too - after all it was seen as one of the best console games of the generation graphically.
Sorry, beck = never 😎
Thanks for the review karak, you guys are fantastic! I watch all acg videos even if i have no interest in the game just because you are so entertaining. Will you be doing an uncharted 4 walking the walk? I love that series and cant wait for the next upload!
+Balthier -leading man thanks
I was waiting for your review all this time and I am happy to saw it was excellent as always. How would you rate the UC series? UC2 > UC4? or is it UC4> UC2 >UC3 >UC1? Personally I like UC 3 over UC 2 just for the story piece.
+gamers galore U2, U4 (really for story alone), U3, U1 in that order for me. You're right U3 did story a little better than 2, but I think 2 is better to me because 3 felt so samey and not really like a true evolution of the franchise.
Wow... I never thought I'd be saying this about an Uncharted title but this game makes me want to buy a PS4
You should, this game is a masterpiece
Which game should I get first? Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection 4 or The Lost Legacy?
Shared onto the FB Podcast Beyond page. Another great review!
I wish I would've found this channel years ago. Excellent job good sir. Thanks for your witty professionalism✌
When it comes to climatic music, few come close to the scenes where Lara storms the yamatai temple in the tomb raider reboot.
+Jeremy Ellis thanks
+王宣博 lol what?
+王宣博 Witcher 3 was GOTY for 2015 and that game offers a ton of value. But you can't compare Witcher 3 to this game as it's completely different. If you were to compare this game to anything then it would be The Last of Us. Honestly you can't compare this to GTA V either because that game offers so much more.
Yeah bro
+ACG well what I wanted to say is that your review for this game is disappointing, you should play it more thoroughly before you make this video. I was your subscriber so I've watched some of your videos, but this particular review is unprofessional compared to the others. For example, let's just talk about how you described the music and sfx in this game when you praised Rise of the Tomb Raider and Gears of War Ultimate Edition(if I remember correctly)
If you pay enough attention to the sounds while you playing Uncharted 4, you should notice that how many small details they put into it.

I know how they made music and sound effects for Tomb Raider series, so I couldn't realize why you weren't able to see that Uncharted clearly did much better at this part? But instead you make it sounds like the music and sounds in this game are rather bad than the other titles(which is obviously not true).
uncharted 4 es el mejor juego
