    Nicely explained. There is a mistake though . You intermixed height difference values of MLWN and MLWS

    Thank you for your great explanation sir. I have one clarification sir. If I apply my time difference for second low water and if I get a TIME for the next day ( JAN 3 ) , I will look into the previous days Standard port value and get a time and ht value... So will this new ht value from previous day become my first low water ( ie MLWN) ? Thank you in advance sir

      Glad you found it helpful,
      For the clarification yes that will be considered as the first time tide of the day

      @@SailorSyd007Sir It will be considered as HT aur LT??

    Sir what if the value for interpolation is outside the range so we take take extreme value of range or extrapolate

    • @SailorSyd007
      @SailorSyd007  2 года назад

      No extrapolation , just take extreme values

    What if we get final height for secondary port negative?

    • @SailorSyd007
      @SailorSyd007  3 года назад

      Good day,
      Thanks for writing to us.
      If you get negative value for a tide it means the tide has fallen below chart datum level which is lowest predicted height of tide from which all tide heights are meassured.
      This is not often seen but is very well possible, can be observed in ATT also some height of tides are marked negative.

    There is a formula
    Height of tide = L.W +(factor×range)
    How to get factor

    • @SailorSyd007
      @SailorSyd007  3 года назад

      Good day,
      Thanks for the responce,
      Factor is the value that you can see at the mid of you graph curve written vertically from bottom to top, these values were used to find the ht of tide without being getting into drawing whole lines through graph up and down, but there was chances of getting much errors in it, the formula u mentioned can also be used to find ht of tide, it is an older method used and not preferably used nowadays,
      Comment for any further doubts

    sir you take wrong value time difference calculation MLWS value is 0.7 and MLWN value is 2.3 but you take MLWS value is 2.3 and MLWN value is 0.7 you see once again your admiralty tide tables but anyway your teaching is good you take only that value is wrong sir you not look properly your admiralty tide tables book you take wrong value for secondary port MHWS AND MLWS value also wrong
