Sir, if local mean time of Dover is given in qstn and asked to find height of tide. Do I have to convert LMT into Standard time or I can directly use given LMT as longitude of Dover is just above 1*E.

You should convert the LMT to Standard time. It is not the question of as to how much is the difference, it is about fundamentally correct. Must carry our conversion, even if both turn out to be exactly same.
