A small bow wave makes the water level behind the wave lower, you have to match a slow, steady speed so its always maintained and you never get ahead of it. The first BMW gets it right for a small section in the middle, but you can see frothy water entering, which is too fast and the bow wave breaks before exiting, which is also too fast.

Una posible solución es actuar sobre el tirador de apertura del capot motor para que el vapor se evacúe. De lo contrario se condensará en el vano motor e irá a la admisión.

Never ever drive a car through a flood and I’ll explain why.
If water gets into your combustion engine cylinders through the air intake or by other means the engine will be destroyed. The reason is quite simple; an air-fuel mixture is compressible, water is not and what you will do is break the con-rods that will, then inject themselves through the side of the engine and that is a new engine, that cost will likely exceed the value of the car and will not be covered by Insurance.

Theoretically they should actually be better off. Their batteries are sealed as are the motors. No intakes, no breathers on differentials , exc.

I´m sure that there are a lot of " experts " watching this....what is the best way to go through deep water ?. I would have seen it...turned round and took another route

When I was a kid, we’d drive through hurricane remnant flood waters to get to the beach and go surfing.
Def had water over the edge of the bonnet a few times. But we’d shut the car off when entering the water, get out, push it through, clean out the air box, then fire it back up.
    We were 16

Flooding and deep snow is the only time people drive however they want on the roads 😂
Driving along the pavement is considered okay during flooding

Would it not be a better idea to reverse through the water if in a small car?

I wonder if that would force water up the exhaust? Otherwise genius.

@@foellerd i would have assumed gases being pushed out of the exhuast would be enough to compensate...the engine is just an air pump!
