- Colossal Kaiju invading New York City is nothing new, but rarely is there the chance to celebrate to culture and fandom of Tokusatsu franchises like Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. This is where Kaiju Brooklyn steps in - a one day event on its second year where Kaiju fans from all over the city come together to celebrate the best of these Japanese cult movies and TV shows.
Join the Boss Monster as he deep dives into this niche con, talking to cosplayers, RUclipsrs, artists and more. While he’s at it, maybe he can reconnect with his own fandom too!!

Great video! I've always liked Godzilla and Power Rangers since I was a kid in the 90s but I became a passionate fan of toku after watching Pacific Rim in 2013. After that it slowly spread from just Godzilla and encompassed the Ultra series then eventually Kamen Rider!
When I found out about this convention I wanted to attend it SO badly but my job doesn't allow me much vacation time or money and my goal has been to visit Japan for the Fall this year, so I had to pass this up. But my Ultraseven cosplay would have looked awesome next to those other cosplayers! Maybe next time.
