Yeah when do it on an dime comes on I stop what I'm doing to watch. 😂 Anyone else do the same? Hope everyone has a blessed week. ❤
All the time!❤❤
I’m all over her DIY’s instantly, too 🥳🥳🥳
Me Too
@@bethdixon501 I know right, she makes it so easy even for the un-crafty people like me to be able to do. 😊 Just adore her channel.
Yes I do. I wish she did more vids. I am all caught up. Others are good but Katherine is my fav.
Girl I don’t want your video to end I wish I had more space to do all these amazing projects however that lantern I want to create that so bad I hope my dollar store has everything 😊
Hi Kathryn! There's another thing you can do with the Glass spray paint. After you spray on a couple of coats, you can take a paint brush, dip it into black craft paint watered down & flick your finger over the top of the brush & it really looks aged! Thanks for another great video! 😊
Great idea!
Your hair is so cute!!
I have been searching stores( new and 2nd hand/thrift)for 2 or 3 tier trinket trays. Then I see you Diy these with candle sticks and burner covers spray painted!! Why on earth I didn't think to make my own is beyond me( I Diy everything, love dollar tree and really am quite crafty usually.brian freeze I guess😂😂)
Happy Monday hack’s beautiful lady ❤ you are so inspiring lady love it ❤ that antique mirror hack is gorgeous lady 😅 I am about to do some of my own with you inspiring me thank you 😊have a wonderful week ❤🍁🌈🦋
Hey, thanks for another video full of affordable decor ideas. About the mirror project: next time, why not mount the mirrors on a 1/4" plywood sheet and pop it into a narrow black frame. That would really set it off, IMO.
I agree, it needs a frame!
Agree…I would never adhere directly to the wall
I just commented the same, it looks like wall stick tile this way which was exactly what she was trying to change lol
Your table is adorable!! I'm definitely stealing the reindeer name place discs. Cute idea!! Love all of your ideas. You are amazing!!
❤ you’re so creative love it … your family is very blessed to have you.
Hello. I from NC I am very southern we really don't talk like that.
Years ago I took a faux finishing class at an art college here in Los Angeles, so this is fascinating for me - especially the antique mirror projects!
I love love love these projects! I live in Upstate New York and love to decorate during our Winter Season. When I checked out what colors of spray paint I have, I found a can of “Krylon” Looking Glass. It’s probably a year old but hoping it will be ok. I can’t wait to start on these projects. Thank you for all you do. I really appreciate you. 🍁❄️
I love that your dupes are always easy & quick---even the big antique mirror, altho I wouldn't attach it directly to the wall, I'd use a backing b/c taking it down wil take plaster right off the wall! Love your idea of using the marble rounds at thr mirrior corners!
Yep, I hung some things in my son's room using that, and boy oh boy did it take my drywall off in patches!
All the dupes are pretty cool to diy things cheaper and doesn’t have to be form expensive hands on stores to get. 💜
I loved all the products. Had fun with this video, your always fun .!!!! ❤
I really love you, but please never do your Dick Van Dyke, English accent again. 😂 No seriously don't ❤❤❤👵🏴
Love watching your videos, and seeing all your creative ideas!! It gives me inspiration for doing my own DYI projects!❤❤
Awesome projects!!!!
This was an awesome video! Thank you for sharing, and inspiring my creativity. 🎨 💕 🎉 I'm so appreciative of your quick, and thrifty craft / decorating ideas. When I get to the store I feel like there's something creative that can be done with an item, I just don't know what. That's why I'm grateful for YT, and the ideas that you share. ❤
These are amazing! I wish I had your creativity! Thank you for sharing.
I used to say, "it's nothing a $6 can of spray paint can't fix!" But now I have to say $12. LOL!
Questions:
Does the water mist dry too much from misting the first mirror square with water to the spray painting?
Do you 'dry' buff the mirror panels while the spray paint over water mist is still wet? Or after the paint has dried?
I wondered this, too.
Immediately after painting (within a few minutes) dry water on surface with a rag and dry buff! The whole experience is just a few min total!
These tips are great! I love how you used the flocking spray paint on the glass.
My #1 favorite spray paint to use is Frosted Glass. It is great for applying on anything with too much plastic and/or metallic shine. It gently evens out the tones and gives things almost a pearlescent look .
I've used it on dollar store Christmas ornaments, metallic lattice ribbons and trims, and many other things.
To define the large mirror set, you could paint a frame around it by painting a one inch border on the wall around the mirrors....in black. 😉
yep, I think that's the general consensus, I think she is trying to show the absolute cheapest version, but I agree spend a few extra $ on some stick-on crown molding or frame it with some quarter board ( think is what it's called) would make it look incredible!
Everything in this video is wow wow wow , you did a great job .. Thank you for the awesome inspirations 😍
Hello Katherine I really appreciate your videos. Always so many fantastic ideas. Thanks again for all you do. Have a great rest of your week 🤗❤️
Girl!!! I loved your ideas!! I’m going to try the unshaken paint flocking!
Thank you for your amazing show & information 🌼
Can we make DIY Christmas ornaments with this hack? If we get the clear ones?
YESSSSS!!!
Even spray paint went up in price lately!! Darn U Walmart!! I remember when black & white spray paint was $1.00!!!!
Katherine you're a freaking hilarious😂😂😂 KRYYYYYLOOON
It's funny how Americans British accent is always a weird victorian londonesque type accent. 🤣 like who talks like that , ever
You can take hairspray and use very lightly on items that shed. You can repeat if needed. Use lightly..
Great Vid!! You definitely make it look easy enough to do. 👍🏼
I'm gonna be trying the vintage mirror hack ty. I'm from the south but hubby's from
Bay City and he says krylon like you 😂.
I love the video and love your enthusiasm, but one thing: don't call it girl math! I'm a math teacher who never wants girls to think their math skills are any less than boys. Let's call it easy work, or eyeballing it, or quick math!
Totally awesome video! I am so doing the antique mirror dupe you did behind the piano. So amazing!
You always amaze me with your DIYs, decorating skills, and etc.
You have the best ideas!
My first attempt at online ordering was a fail. Order cancelled. Payment refunded.
Great glass hacks!!! You always make my day brighter!!
Really lovely ideas, thanks for sharing 🥰👍
I bought a frame exactly like the one you put on the mirror but it turned out that it had dead people's ashes inside it was super scary I ended up throwing it away..what do they call it..urn something like that😱
Loved the wall mirror diy....such a high end look. Love watching you replicate a look. Thanks for sharing!
Great dupes. Tfs. Also, goof luck to anyone looking for the resin and hardener. My closest dollar tree put the A in the craft aisle and the B in the Dollar Tree Plus aisle with the rest of their resin kits.
Love your videos ❤
Well done again….these projects look so great!! The pottery barn dupe is amazing!! Grooming up we had tiled glass on our wall for decades. ❤
For those $5 lanterns, I’d use some picture frame glass to change it out for the season to non flocked glass. Two looks for one item.
Nearly genius 😊
Looking glass spray followed by heat gun will give you a mercury glass finish. Can use hair dryer it just takes a bit longer. We made Mercury glass ornaments from clear glass balls from Michael’s.
I may try that thanks!
Wow that lantern looks amazing, especially with the candle inside
Love the content, but the clips are way too fast, not enough time to get a good look at things.
Hey, that was a pretty good British imitation!
Thank goodness not all Californians talk like that! 😂
Pretty cool. Re those mirrors: a way to get that antique look AND be able to clean it-on the cheap-is to remove some of the backing paint from mirror. Use paint remover, thinner, acetone-whatever takes it off- and lightly spray backside of mirror. After bits of the mirroring are gone, paint with black or dark bronze paint, still all the work is done on the back.
I’m crazy about the mirror! I’m redoing some of the areas in my upstairs on a budget and I think I’m going to do it! Thank you! 😊😊😊
Loved this video ❤
Thank you for warching!!
Katherine, you are amazing! I love everything you do, and I look forward to every new video.❤️
I love the things you do! But, I do have a question on the mirrors on the wall project. How do you get the tiles off of the wall when you grow tired of them? Won't they snap off and make a mess of the wall?
Wao you just an Amazing decorator I love everything you do .
Beautiful table scape!! I also like the mercury glass effect on the vases!!
I am early! I have been here for 6 years! I love your quick, easy, affordable ideas. 🙂
So glad you're here!
@@DoItOnaDime Thank you🙂💖
I have really enjoyed all of your content for years!
You are amazing!
❤ Wonderful ideas u are a unique talented lady..I love your channel and energy!
It would cost a little more but alcohol ink would look beautiful on the antique mirror project.
Hi Kendra 🌹
How are you doing..??
This is not a dollar tree video. It’s a spray paint video. You just threw some dollar store stuff in there. And no not everyone happens to have spray paint.
And you are super creative!
Lol we don’t sound like that from California 😂…
Hi Monica 🌹
How are you doing..??
Omg I love all of these ideas! I’m in love with Mercury Glass. So these mirrors were so similar!! Amazingly crafty! ❤
Love these videos!!!
Thanks so much.
YEAH MICHIGAN!!!✋🏻
Didn't think I'd see the day that old, tarnished mirrors would be "in style" and people would be purposefully paying for it 😂
Haha You’re too funny! I’m from the Chicago Suburbs and Krylon sounds just great too me!!!!
Oh my GAWD I LOVE EVERY IDEA! I am a Chicago girl and your pronunciation of " Krylon" is PERFECT! YOU ARE A HOOT, ( as us Midwesterns say...😅😂)!!!! 😊😅
Caution everyone. When putting the glass back in the lanterns notice that the glass is wider on the top end. It won't go in the other way. Don't want anyone to get cut with the thin glass. The lanterns look sooo much better when you finish this diy. Love them.
Yes, I though you. Sounded like a Michigander, yep you answered that!! Great ideas. Thank you!
WHERE in the world do you live??
Our Dollar treeS (I go to many!!) NEVER have most things you post. Like those Christmas buffalo check scarves-been looking for over 3 years! So frustrating. 😢
God bless you, for all you do.
Beautiful things you make , with such creativity.
Thank you. 😘🙏👍❤️🍁✨🌻💫🌟🍂🧡✝️
I have been following your channel for a while, and on Facebook, too!!! 😅😅😅 " Girl, math, Eyeballing." I use Girl math, too. Thank you for putting me on the path to craft by sharing your creative ideas. Your ingenuity is inspirational, saving me time and money, but more importantly, I am totally organized!!!! Your generous spirit is uplifting and joyously appreciated..
Loved all your ideas! Now I know how to decorate my home for Xmas on a budger :)
So many great ideas! Thanks for sharing them!
I heard you say you're getting Michigan, what part? I grew up in Lansing, but have lived just outside of Lansing for just over 24 years.
I've been subbed for a long time, I don't comment often, but I do enjoy your videos!! 💜💜💜
Love the lantern. So elevated with the faux snow.
Ohio here....Cry....Lawn.😂
I'm from Kansas - we have no accent. We speak plainly, like unaffected English should be spoken, lol. How to tell if an accent is 'affected' - when singing, no one sings words with an accent to any real degree - except country music, because they try to put it in there). Go Midwesterners for keeping it real!!!
Hi, Kathryn. Great 👍 ideas and end products. I missed seeing you. I must be behind on the videos, but I’ll catch up. Not only do you create great content but encourage me to like myself. Thank you sincerely. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
Sorry if im missing something, but im confused I figured I'd just ask!! Hopefully OP or someone else can find the time to help me with the answer real quick :)
My question is about the resin you said you got at dollar tree. (Which...1st of all OMG- I did not know this! Ive never seen them there but will be making a visit soon to try and find some, as I'd love a cple of those lil bottles for some smaller, quick, & cheap (!!) projects! Thanks for that tip hehe). Back to my.main question though lol. So you mention the resin but then you go on to show that lovely large Mason jar being decorated with some stone style spray paint and then using it as a flower vase!
So what did you actually use the resin for?!
Tyia :)
Holy moly your mirror came out amazing! ( : Everything bcame out anazing! You are sooo good, sweetie! ( : The tablescape at the end you would never ever know are DT products! ( :
Where do you get All Your Phenomenal Inspiration from???
YOU ARE AMAZING, CATHERINE! so is your Camara guy! hi Charlie 😮😜
Kathryn, it’s only October and you already got the tree up. Nah jk I can’t wait to put my Christmas decor up. Also I wanted to remind you that you’re enough too❤️ I’ve been watching you for so long!!!
You say Krylon the same no matter where you're from. I am from California and I say krylon just like you and not like Kim Kardashian 😂 btw I love your British accent, you get an A++ my dear 😁🙌🏻🙌🏻
Your DYIs are amazing I love them so much. Have a great week and weekend Kathryn !!!!! ❤❤
Thanks for sharing.
Jesus Loves You
Have a Blessed and Wonderful Night 😊
DT is the only removable adhesive strip I trust, especially for glass. Even with proper prep, command falls off. 😞
Hi Kathryn! Another great video, thank you. Question: the Krylon looking glass, can that same technique be used on plastic? I have seen people use something similar to make glass ornaments (more time consuming), but have never seen it done with plastic ornaments. Your technique, I believe, is easier.
I started laughing so hard when you added paint to the mirror to make it antique. The reason why is, we recently gave away this antique dresser with an attached mirror. I commented that i didn't think it would sell, because of the mirror being aged! Boy, did i mess up!😮 (it's OK, though!)😊
Great video !! I’m a Long Island , New Yorker saying Krylon very close to the way you said it for NY !, Love your videos !!
I am also from Michigan!! You have so many great ideas!! Love to watch your videos!❤❤
You always dress a beautiful table, girl! Men’s winter scarves as table runners - who knew!??!
Spir On Kathryn im.working in deep cleaning n organizing then im.going to.decorate your ideas are wonderful 😊
Stop it! You are literally a ray of sunshine and I cannot handle it. Seriously though, you’re so creative, positive and funny and I always look forward to your videos ☺️
I'll tell you what, your pronunciation of "y'all" is perfect!! We'll keep working on Krylon 😂❤
Totally unrelated to this video, but I’m new to your channel because I’ve just embarked on an all out decluttering and organizing campaign and your channel has been an absolute eye opening inspiration! However, I have searched high and low for a way to make the best use of the refrigerator door area designed for eggs and, maybe I’m just using the wrong search terms but, I can’t find any viable suggestions on how to use this otherwise wasted space. Perhaps you have some ideas and can either pair it with other uses for areas going to waste or make a short on uses for that fridge door egg space specifically 🙏🏻 …I love what you do, please keep on doing it! 😊
Who would spend $700 for a dirty mirror? Rich folks.😂😂😂
