Man, I wish that we had sirens like that here in the Netherlands. We only have some crappy speaker sirens. (I think that they are Modulator 2008s, but with an unique warning tone. They're spread thru out the whole country.) Not only that, but they're going to removed in 2020! It's going to be replaced with an cellular service called "NL-Alert."
To be fair, EOWS 612s and 812s are hard to compare with long-horned sirens (FS T-bolt 1003s, ACA Allertors, and P-50s) because the EOWS sirens are one of the few sirens that are vertical and are more likely to be compared to non-rotary sirens. (Modulators, Whelen WPS-3016s, and 3T22s)
This brings back memories from when this tower was in Sea Isle and Ocean city and Stone harbor NJ. It would always go off around noon. Its not as loud in this video cause they're only using half the speakers. It's like 10 times as loud! It scared me as a kid if I was close it and I tried to stay a safe distance so it wouldn't be so loud. I also called it the lunchtime tower cause it would always go off at noon lol
And it is not there anymore cause the replaced it with a tower do th white stacks, completely different sound and tone, not as loud as this one. Its more subdued and melancholy.

Actually what I think is a 1,000-t Dual Tone went off in Kansas about 1960 and I definitely hear a train but now I hear reports that sound is generated by the RFQ updraft

DaNuke 26rblx it just makes the sounds programmed into the Mc controller. The siren head is just a speaker, they’re compatible with just about everything
Yeah but EOWS-612 sirens have older speakers then modulators as they are older than modulators. May not sound the best though together as the speakers of it may sound terrible with newer technology used in the modulator. Like how a SNES game console looks worse on flat screens due to how it loads things in. I dont know though because I am a [censored]ing idiot.
2716 Productions the siren on the left is plugged into a control bot which is plugged into the wall. The siren on the right is plugged into an amplifier (concert equipment) which is also plugged into the wall
It isn't quite there yet. It's still missing the wall on the backside and I still need to remove the screens on all the horns. It can make noise, but I need to fine a more permanent setup instead of my current temporary setup
