New Year's 2025 EOWS 612 Siren Sound Off
This year's siren sound off was wild. The EOWS 612 had a SiraTone and MC controller connected simultaneously, which is a first as far as we're aware. The Thunderbolt sounded off too of course, as drowned out as it was.
This was filmed with my Sony Handicam, the "Crabcorder" for a low quality, home movie, even cryptic outcome. The audio is unedited from the camcorder, Stick around for the second half after the sirens wind down for some behind the scenes.

This year's trip to Buckley was a good one, even if it rained. Here's some of the cool stuff I saw there, as well as a good chunk of the parade. Next year hopefully would be a bit better organized on my part.
Mason Steam Festival and Chelsea Car Show 2024

Today, I Join Jeron and the Airbnb'ers in a Model T excursion around Livingston County, Michigan. First we travel out to Mason for the annual steam festival, then south to Chelsea for an open car show. The visit to both shows may have been pretty brief, but saw some awesome stuff during the time there.

For this year's 4th of July, I played the Star Spangled Banner through the EOWS 612 and revved up the thunderbolt for a salute. The plan may not have gone flawlessly, but it did good enough. Dan and I sounded off my EOWS 612 using his newly acquired SiraTone controller. This siren originally had a SiraTone controller while in service in Livonia, and tonight was the first time it was reunited with one in over 15 years. I made another video called “Homecoming 612” covering where exactly the siren went. In short, it was shipped to West Shore Services where it remained in the graveyard as a parts donor for about 8 years until I bought it and took it back home to Livonia
