Wow! When Mirror Julie mumbled that she needed: "hair of the dog", and the shot flipped back to her and she was sitting on the floor with an actual dog . . . coffee all over the keyboard and computer screen. Thank you. -C
"We're at the friends phase." "You and Me?" "Me and Pam." Hilarious, plus, did Mirror Julie's comparison with Will and Professor Plum actually make sense?! Talk about amazingly profound!
Next year I'm performing a wedding for two of my best friends. I definitely dated one of them and at least one other person who's standing up in the wedding dated the other one. Getting past the, "I know what you look like naked" stage is a challenge but it's possible (but not if they have anger management issues).
That takes time, Mutual understanding between all the parties and having a clear-cut goal of what needs to be achieved. A high emotional intelligence among all the parties.
Julie: I just want to feel better. Mirror Mirror: We don’t have enough time for that. We all feel that way sometimes. I just love how she brings humor to real day to day stuff and makes it funny and relatable. Talented, funny and beautiful. She has it all!
Some people I've dated we stayed friends after the romantic relationship was over. With others, we became the "person who shall not be named" in each other's world. I think it depends on how much friendship coexisted with romantic feelings.
Very true. I think good and durable relationships will include friendship even at the cost of passionate love. Because passion is good but its often blinding.
There's a saying which I cannot phrase exactly in English. But the meaning is like this: Exes can only be friends, if they didn't really love each other or if one still loves the other.
Bloody brilliant as always! I feel so called out though, as I’m friends with my ex-gf and my partner is friends with his ex-gf. Don’t worry, everyone involved is in the 50-65 year age range and that cuts a lot of angst out. Really, it’s just nice to have people to talk about British sitcoms with.
@@johndododoe1411 maybe, but in my case add menopause and I’m not gay, straight or bi. Or it doesn’t matter. I’m middle aged and want peace, recognition for my post-s**ual identity and to find somewhere I can watch British sitcoms from the comfort of a walk-in freezer.
I love that Mirror Julie feels free to be open and honest about the fact that she is mostly disinterested and mildly annoyed that Julie confides in her. LOL!
because she is smart and have sharp and direct mind and she never beat around the bush, she always digs into the very essence. THAT what is like to be an intelligent person. And i think she's reading a lot, books have many answers
This is proof of Julie’s talent. One camera, herself and a mirror. Her acting and writing carry the whole scene and every minute of it is entertaining. She deserves every success. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One of the more relatable videos for me, as this is exactly how I feel about my ex husband! I don't want to be together again, but even after years apart it feels weird that we're not even friends. My current husband is able to have a friendship with his ex wife though and I'm really happy for him.
Sometimes I wish I had my own life guide, my own mirror self, to talk to. These are some of my favourite videos of yours, Julie. Absolutely adore your work!
Thanks Julie! Your timing is PERFECT for me!! (okay, with 1,08M subscribers the timing of this video is bound to be perfect for some of us, but still… I like to think that it’s perfect for me ;) …) My partner decided to brake up a few weeks ago, so now we’re in that period where I need to find a new place to live, where we’re trying to handle everything in an orderly manner and indeed… where she ‘wants to stay friends’…. And just listening to Mirror Julie helped me see it clearly much quicker: NOPE. No friends, back to strangers, ‘someone that I used to know’… Maybe the fact that she made this decision at this moment, where I am very ill and have multiple fractures in my back, where I am stuck in a wheelchair for who knows how long (maybe forever) and where I am physically not able to live by myself and where I am very dependent on all sorts of medical help…….does also make it easy to NOT WANTING TO REMAIN FRIENDS!!!!!! And with all this going on, I STILL KNOW that I will be OKAY! Because I AM a fighter and I am stronger now than ever!! Let’s fkn’ GOOOOO!!!!
Yay! I loved seeing your dog in the video! Now, whenever I am overwhelmed by something, I'll just say "nothing some hair of the dog can't fix" and go hug my dog. She's a golden retriever so she has plenty of hair to go around...around on my floors and on my clothes.
Can't tell you how much I love these. So well done and great acting. I hope you're happy and doing well with these. I truly think you should be a star in movies!
After 27 years, my ex wife and I are pretty good friends, even her husband and I are good friends. Have to admit divine intervention likely responsible, but hey whatever works. We shared raising a daughter, so that is an important bond that is still active. Other non-married ex's are not very friendly or kind, sort of what you would expect. You are such a treat to watch, Julie, thanks for sharing your brilliant work.
Hearing 'Hair of a dog' and seeing an actual dog. Cannot get the image out of my mind of drunk Julie licking the Dog. What a start and then goes on...Hilarious😁😁 as always
Love the magic mirror episodes, I’m waiting for the day we get the perspective from magic mirror side where she’s wrapping up with Julie, let’s out a sigh and we follow her into her world where she plops down on the floor in front of her magic mirror and it’s Ryan George and proceeds to tell him you won’t believe what she was saying to me today as they both start hitting the liquor
I am so in love with Mirror's dog i forget the official name though - Leroy, Pam, Daphne, Little Vin Diesel, Napoleon, Notrious D.O.G., Professor Plum.... i can't keep up either Julie
As awesome as it would’ve been to see Julie take Notorious D.O.G for a walk, but I don’t think my brain could handle Mirror Julie’s dog coming into our world
Mirror Julie is actually effective. Got (stole?) a dog: check. Gave regular Julie advice (don't have to like the advice): check. Cheered up regular Julie with dog jokes: check and check.
Love the magic mirror conversations. The furry one is a cute addition. Hope he/she is an actual addition to your family. Everyone needs a furry partner.
Julie is not just a great actor, she’s also a good director and editor and dialogue writer
oh wow! thank you!!
I want to see more of the dog. I feel like like the dog was the real breakout star of that sketch.
she is also best 2nd, 3rd and so forth actors in these!
And also:
She's such a good boy!
Yes she is! Yes she is!

I love mirror Julie.... I could watch an entire series based on this premise.
I second what Larry said.

Notorious D.O.G. absolutely amazing name! Why didn't I think of that when I named my best friend!
Never too late for a nickname!
That's my dog's name!
Because, Daniel, for the eighth time, my name is Kevin, and you didn't get to name me, that was my parents' job!
The only two solution here is to get another dog ;)
I thought it was Notorious D.I.G. 🤣🤣 Either way, amazing :) someone needs to compile all of the names
Mirror Julie somehow finds a way to always be weirdly relevant and topical to my life
