Next year I'm performing a wedding for two of my best friends. I definitely dated one of them and at least one other person who's standing up in the wedding dated the other one. Getting past the, "I know what you look like naked" stage is a challenge but it's possible (but not if they have anger management issues).
That takes time, Mutual understanding between all the parties and having a clear-cut goal of what needs to be achieved. A high emotional intelligence among all the parties.

Some people I've dated we stayed friends after the romantic relationship was over. With others, we became the "person who shall not be named" in each other's world. I think it depends on how much friendship coexisted with romantic feelings.

Very true. I think good and durable relationships will include friendship even at the cost of passionate love. Because passion is good but its often blinding.
There's a saying which I cannot phrase exactly in English. But the meaning is like this: Exes can only be friends, if they didn't really love each other or if one still loves the other.

Bloody brilliant as always! I feel so called out though, as I’m friends with my ex-gf and my partner is friends with his ex-gf. Don’t worry, everyone involved is in the 50-65 year age range and that cuts a lot of angst out. Really, it’s just nice to have people to talk about British sitcoms with.

One of the more relatable videos for me, as this is exactly how I feel about my ex husband! I don't want to be together again, but even after years apart it feels weird that we're not even friends. My current husband is able to have a friendship with his ex wife though and I'm really happy for him.
Such a simple message but put it in a wonderful way "scars fade away, but it takes time"

My partner decided to brake up a few weeks ago, so now we’re in that period where I need to find a new place to live, where we’re trying to handle everything in an orderly manner and indeed… where she ‘wants to stay friends’….
And just listening to Mirror Julie helped me see it clearly much quicker: NOPE.
No friends, back to strangers, ‘someone that I used to know’…
Maybe the fact that she made this decision at this moment, where I am very ill and have multiple fractures in my back, where I am stuck in a wheelchair for who knows how long (maybe forever) and where I am physically not able to live by myself and where I am very dependent on all sorts of medical help…….does also make it easy to NOT WANTING TO REMAIN FRIENDS!!!!!!
And with all this going on, I STILL KNOW that I will be OKAY! Because I AM a fighter and I am stronger now than ever!! Let’s fkn’ GOOOOO!!!!
Yay! I loved seeing your dog in the video! Now, whenever I am overwhelmed by something, I'll just say "nothing some hair of the dog can't fix" and go hug my dog. She's a golden retriever so she has plenty of hair to go around...around on my floors and on my clothes.

I loved all of this video until we got to the BetterHelp sponsorship. I recognize that ya girl has bills to pay, but BetterHelp really screws over therapists and clients, and is even aligned with CareDash to steal therapists’ PRIVATE information (yikes!) and steal potential clients from them, funneling everyone over to BetterHelp instead by lying that the therapist doesn’t have openings when they actually do. And BetterHelp really underpays their therapists, causing them to have to take on a crazy high case load just to pay rent, AND forces them to practice over state lines without a license which is illegal!
