The only reason the F-35 had 25 countries working on it, was to lower the cost, the U.S.A could have easily built this aircraft within their own ecosystem.This als includes projects like the eurofighter typhoon. If the UK wanted to they would have built it on their own with higher costs to factor for. India already has a military ecosystem in place, how much of that ecosystem is relevant to absorbing the rafale project is yet to be seen, however, rather than having a tantrum, we could put our minds together which I am sure they are already, we can figure out how to absorb the rafale within our existing ecosystem.

Great explanation!! Simple day to day example I can add is all these new smart phones. It was difficult for my father to understand & use all features in his phone. Had more difficulty in using whatsapp. I can do it better than him but my 9 year old son uses features of modern smart phone better than me. If the UK wanted to they would have built it on their own with higher costs to factor for. India already has a military ecosystem in place, how much of that ecosystem is relevant to absorbing the rafale project is yet to be seen, however, rather than having a tantrum, we could put our minds together which I am sure they are already, we can figure out how to absorb the rafale within our existing ecosystem.

Had more difficulty in using whatsapp. I can do it better than him but my 9 year old son uses features of modern smart phone better than me. The audience is unable to grasp the importance of how much access to technology at an early age can change the neurology of the person itself, and how helpful that can be for that person when he has to handle high tech equipment like fighter jets, where 3-4 screens give you visual information simultaneously. Now, kids in first world countries have started playing VR games, with a full VR headset. Less than 0.1% of kids in India have VR headseats today. Think of what type of a disadvantage that will be for Indians, when there will be VR augmented military equipment in the future.
